Then the red pollen orb quests have a nopon called zazazan carrying a mystery cargo so that the ones who played the first game know that something is suspicious about this nopon and end his operation short instead of having him as a secret final boss like zazadan. There's the sword of legendaryness quests. Nopon sidequests full of them being evil like the fake pregnancy one or the one who scams you and sells your items for a proft to the ganglion. Unfortunately you can no longer play the second game as intended because the last chaoter now has stuff from the third and fourth game

The global nemesis raid bosses are cool, though are basically just punching bags for you to show off your DPS skills after the first few times. Outside of that you're missing out on the online missions which make grinding for certain things easier. Being able to grind reward tickets, which can be exchanged for enemy drops, is the big one, but you still get like 200-300 of them a day for free just by playing the game and checking the online tab in the menu, even in offline mode. Nothing that requires an insane amount of tickets beyond that will give you (like the bunny suits) is even remotely worth grinding for.

DPS gaem where healing is clicking one button, and it's not necessarily the healing art since you have both blade special with healing secondary effects and crit heals. Buffs are automatic. Also the healer class is a bit of a meme since several strong DPS blades in the games are classified as "healer" lol. Yeah I'm sure Crossette is hitting these damage caps to heal better.
But as a X enjoyer, I find this to be the second best game in the series combat-wise. Look shit up properly, master fusion combos, and enjoy shitting out massive damage without longass chain setups

Maybe I’m just contrarian or prefer “manlier” stuff but I vastly prefer sword and shield or greatswords. The only time in recent memory that I remember liking a class with dual swords was etoile in pso2 and only because it had a special attack that combined both swords into a giant greatsword all while having super armor.

I don't remember if you could accept her quest this early in the original game. I also remember it taking me much longer the first time around, but it's pretty easy in DE.

You shouldn't be spamming chain attacks on every encounter. There are situations where you purely want to use normal combat or swap into Ouroboros form. There are situations where you might use chain attacks and want to finish the enemy with Ouroboros forms. The fun thing about 3's combat is the variety of things you can do in it (unlike 2 where the battle loop is so linear you mostly do the same things every encounter which is build orbs and activate chain attack to crush them and kill enemy).

If so I’m glad they changed that dps brainrot just doesn’t have a lot of depth even when it actually does.
What I mean by this is that a system that forces you to engage with all aspects of combat instead of just stacking damage is much more interesting.

I actually don't know, i enjoyed it while playing and soifaced at the Zohar and all that bullshit but looking back at it i cant but think the whole original script got scrapped and what we got was an excuse to end the series on a good note.
i.e. the whole beach sequence being teased as some grand kino reveal but ended up being a burgernothing.
All in all yeah i think i like it for now but will probably call it meh in 5 years when the next xenoblade releases just like what happened in prior releases.

The gameplay progression in 3 is just not that interesting. I don't like that all the characters are identical outside of ouroboros (which feel bad to play as) and nothing you're building towards ever actually feels finished until the very end of the game in a way that doesn't feel good to play. Class progression is a never ending grind that doesn't even dynamically change how a class is played for the effort, just increases damage scale by a percentage. Shit sucks.
