I don't play AAA

I rarely, if ever, engage with post-game content.

you can just tell the guy who made this is a tranny

No, I grew up on real games so I understand that Time Crisis has 100x more replayability than modern slop. Man, I haven't played Time Crisis in a month or two, I should go play Time Crisis.

If you take away the wojaks telling you how to think there is nothing inherently wrong with this

i don't like to engage in extremes

but anon, that is an extreme!

your mom's an extreme whore

I prefer sandboxes and simulators.

the price, the price is wrong you can get good old games with plenty of replay value for less than 10$

That's not replayability. That's grindy trash meant to pad out game time. Replayability means being able to take different paths and choices during the main story.

Sorry for a retarded question but what is a "post game"? I'd guess it's what happens after the ending but if so then how does that add anything to the replay value? And the name "post game" suggests that it's something which happens after you already have ended the game so you can't even play, sort of like fallout nv ending with the slide show

Am I the only one that doesn't care that much about replayability? It's because so there are so many games in existence that I want to play and probably won't even get through all in my lifetime that I would much rather experience new games than replay a game I've already played. Unless, the second go-around is extremely transformative, I don't see a reason to replay

Post game could be the expansions? Maybe a balance of both? I remember the game Breath of Fire 4, the ending was open to a sequel but we never got it. I wonder why, one could even make an MMORPG based on the ending premise of the game.

Playing "post-game" in open worlds has always had a very depressing feeling to me.

No because I always either pirate or purchase games at the bare minimum and if you're ever spending more than 25$ for a videogame you're an absolute retard.

inb4 pirateniggers show up

I've never much cared for post-game content. I just want a complete experience. If I want more, I will just replay the game.

Replayability means being able to take different paths and choices during the main story.

I've played Inside about 5 times now and it's completely linear

would you like to take the green hallway or the blue hallway just to watch the same cutscene at the other end?

I like a little bit of post game content, but if I like a game I'm more than willing to replay the story

Depends on the game.

I will just replay the game.

i consider alternate endings and story paths part of end game content same with resident evil 3 mercenary mode and challenge runs to unlock costumes and guns you know stuff they make you buy dlc for now.

When I was a kid I wanted post game
As an adult I'm okay with it being over

playing the game again but with enemies getting 5% stronger at every new game+ is somehow better

word of advice: when you repost this shitty thread again in 2 hours, edit out the wojak slop and the price

When I was a kid I wanted post game

As an adult I'm okay with it being over

the thing is as a kid you got maybe 3 games a year so they had to last as an adult you can buy new games every week.

idk i don't play grindy jap games

>playing the game again but with enemies getting 5% stronger at every new game+ is somehow better

this is why i always play on normal no improved ai enemy's are not faster or more numerous just bullet sponges 99.9% of the time.

thats because you have no empathy

playing the game again

All I give a shit about is if the game is fun or not. Story is a nice bonus to have, but isn't necessary into how I factor whether a game is worth the money or time for a replay.
F-Zero GX has zero post-game content and the story is hilariously stupid, but that hasn't stopped me from constantly replaying it for the last two decades.

story

don't care as long as I can skip it

post-game

there's just the game

$70

never paying more than $30

Autistic people love replaying the same game over and over again. That doesn't make these games that want you to repeat playthrough a that are 90% the same shit good. They're terrible, they're just comforting for the severely autistic Anon Babble anons.

Since you're not going to debate someone on Anon Babble into realising they're wrong, my advice is to simply ignore replay value fags. They are basically announcing their own disorder to you.

People feel like this because too many games have shitty rpg elements or otherwise take way too long to give you all the gameplay options, so instead of being able to design stuff around your whole kit most of the game is

here's the fire move

here's a bunch of stuff the fire move can do

now we do this again for a few hours but with the ice move

stop replying to shitty bait threads you fucking retards.

yeah
I can't stand too much story

fixed.png - 864x749, 169.38K

what if the post-game has more story in it though

because going through a story more than once is boring but pure gameplay is always going to be fun if the gameplay is good. it's pretty straightforward

Yeah, this is me. Replayability is a meme.
With that said, I do want my choices and consequences to matter and be different. Not because I want to replay the game but because I want them to be different from other players.

First off

Second off every time this gets posted it is always some retard making false equivalencies. This is an hourly debate on Anon Babble

"Postgame" should mean something different than "replaying the game". Replay value and value for continuing the same "play"- no "re"- aren't the same thing, are they?
Also most games that bother to have a significant amount of actual postgame have the same amount of pre-credits content as top, they're just directly bigger.

I'm the same. I still want more postgame because it extends the original playthrough rather than being something you get on a replay.

This is exactly how Prodigal was. Shame Veritus was shit.

No, the latter mindset is a cancer on gaming. Its only purpose is to find ways to siphon money out of people's pockets.

Why? Those 'jaks are a classic gem that improve anything you add them to. Also they're soijaks, not wojaks.

So you've beat the main quest, now the world is at peace, but you've still got to beat the last few stragglers of the bad guys/help everyone rebuild/explore the free world.

Yes I do enjoy a solid linear experience where the game has a beginning and an end. FROM does both very well. Their games have a clear beginning and an end AND has a lot of replayability.

A rebuild mechanic would be pretty sweet. After the main story the consequences of player actions create a new dynamic in the world where you have a choice to revisit and interact with the world sweeping up the loose ends as you go. Too bad devs are retarded and are slaves to the investor boomer class.

yes I prefer bottom
i don't care call me a onions onion jack

that's what I thought but my autism kicked in because of the "post game" stuff. If you still got something to do after the story has ended then it's not truly post game since you are still playing. Sure if you can just do the stuff that you haven't done yet then whatever but if there is actual content after the story has ended then it's only "post story" not "post game"

.
