This game is extremely boring and overrated.
I got bored and gave up after the second temple.
Meanwhile I beat The Witcher 3 and its DLCs and I keep replaying skyrim.
What causes this? Just because it's le heckin zelda and shitendo's first attempt at an open world, it gets a free pass? I've played ubislop that was more fun than this. It's literally just copy pasted puzzle rooms over and over and over. If I wanted a puzzle game I'd go play zuma. I was promised an open world RPG, not a fucking puzzle game.

keep replaying skyrim
I'm sorry to tell you, but you have severe autism
Truth

This is my second full replay, I've tried replaying before but couldn't get into it and I would quit after getting to whiterun. After learning about the schizo lore on here I decided to give it another chance and I love it even more than my first time. Right now I'm level 32. I've also beaten Fallout NV with no DLCs once with the yes man ending.
how far you have gotten isnt that important.. What im wondering is ,How much time have you spent
so far on the game?
Can't you tell how much time I've spent in it from how far I progressed?
try totk, is 30 times better
I've beaten this game five times, and I've never heard of Witcher and stopped Skyrim after killing Parthanax, what causes this

temple
I agree with whatever you said but do we really need this thread 30 times a day?
They should just make different boards for pcmr, snoys, tendies and xbox kids honestly.
Only your second real play
Apologies for the dire diagnosis Anon, you're fine.
It lacks a good sense of Reward and Progress like Tears of the Kingdom has. so the sequel is basically a repayable version of BotW.
No problem, I am actually autistic but I'm more obsessed with the lore of the elder scrolls if anything.
I would check it out, but 1. I'm not paying 70 euro for that. 2. I don't have a switch anymore, 3. Emulators are dead and 4. I'd rather just play elder scrolls games on steam deck now.
What causes this? Just because it's le heckin zelda
Yes. Journos shat their pants over all the autism from 8.8 and all integrity was thrown out the window to appeal to fanboy delusion. If it was a new IP or not made by Nintendo, nobody would give anywhere near same amount of shit.
skyrim is boring and overrated too you just autistically bonded with it so you cant tell.
If it was a new IP or not made by Nintendo, nobody would give anywhere near same amount of shit.
Still shitting blood NINE YEARS later lmao
BOTW has worse and less voice acting than morrowind, a 2002 game.
kys arthur
Aw geez guys the timeless classic has bad VA in 5 minutes of the tens of hours playthrough, it's irredeemable.
Ive played through botw 3 times, up to, but not including gannons castle.
Iv'e played through most of Skyrims side-content atleast 3 times, but have never played the main story past the 7000steps
I have only played 1 hour of witcher3
This game is like some test for gamers.
You have the "movie gamers" that need to be guided along like a kid handheld by a string along rails.
And then you have people that will go into a world and just do shit. Woner what if I combine this and this, what if I set this on fire, what if I try to climb this.
I played the original version as a kid in elementary school, so perhaps. But there's just something about Secunda playing while you're in whiterun's hills at night looking at the auroras, that botw just doesn't have. Even oblivion had harvest dawn and the so bad it's good voice acting.
All voice acted scenes have bad VA. Nintendo seems to retarded or too lazy to actually try. Why could skyrim and oblivion be fully voice acted but nintendo's 'masterpiece' couldn't?
Have you never played a game with a decent physics engine before?
It falls in that unfortunate category of games called Zelda that aren't real Zelda games. They watered down everything that makes Zelda fun and overshadowed it with gimmicky new mechanics. New mechanics can work (MM, WW), but they blew it with BOTW.
metacritic
You'll eat whatever gruel they dump in your trough.
you are a bing bing wahoo person
i basically finished half the games side shrines/quests before going to the zora
Yeah the last good one was Half Life 2/Portal.
Developers have opted to literally ignore Physics since then and I have literally 0 ideas why. It's ridicilous. It took BOTW to revive physics gameplay.
Why could skyrim and oblivion be fully voice acted but nintendo's 'masterpiece' couldn't?
Because as ToTK showed us, there was no passion put into anything but the facilitation of continued interaction with the fancy playground they made out of Hyrule.
Who promised you an open world RPG? The voices in your head? It's a Zelda game.
I got bored and gave up after the second temple.
this was also my experience, I really wanted to give it a fair shot but i just couldn't get into it.

Exactly.
Adults love BotW.Children hate it.
BotW is probably the best adventure game ever made. You get one quest: save the princess. And then the entire game is about you figuring out how to do this all on your own.
You get loose in a massive ungated magic world to explore and indulge in at your own pace. Intrinsic motivation becomes the game's central hook. Everything is optional but everything will help you in your quest. You have nothing but your wits and you'll need to adapt to the changing world around you and invent your own solutions to adversity.
Its a game about personal growth. You need to become the hero. And you can attempt to save the princess whenever you feel ready for it. Its incredibly mature game design for a title of this scale and scope.
Taking ownership of your own journey, adapting to the changing world around you and creating your own solutions to adversity. This appeals to the adult mind because this is how adults live their lives.
Children, on the otherhand, want to feel the safety of being held by the hand and given new toys. Because thats all they know.
Botw is a walking sim. Movie games and walking sims are all shit.
I see, I got bored after like 20 shrines. Just puzzle rooms and puzzle rooms. Might as well play a minecraft escape box.
trve.. when I first played Crysis i realized how much potential physics gameplay has. BOTW hasn't revived physics gameplay though, games have abandoned physx for gay tracing.
trvthnvke
Isn't that what a zelda game is? A family friendly RPG?
I feel bad for tendies, they have no idea how bad they have it.
The world is empty and has no soul. I can walk around skyrim for hours, just hiking around, killing random enemies, listening to Soule's masterpieces. Meanwhile in BOTW all I do is climb towers and cliffs while listening to the same generic piano music.

There's no temples in BoTW you fake gamers
second temple
there are no temples in botw retard, nice bait tho!
Notice the grass swaying in a realistic pattern as a breeze rolls over the hills around Hateno village. A wide-eyed child runs around playing and pauses to wave hello to you.
I've never felt such peace and longing in any game.
Yeah but raytracing isn't a game play element that the issue. RT is just another checkbox in the graphics settings.
Meanwhile in BOTW all I do is climb towers and cliffs while listening to the same generic piano music.
See that mountain? It's actually a volcano. You can't go near it, the heat will kill you, you'll need to figure out a way to survive all on your own.
On the way up you'll confronted by giant killer spider robots, enemy camps, huge lava rock monsters. You find mini-dungeons, bomb-powered minekart rides, molten rocks raining down on your.
You'll discover a village of rock niggers and complete quests for them. And on the summit you'll find an enormous robot dinosaur who you will battle. Once defeated, the huge robot dinosaur turns into massive Chinese puzzle box dungeon for you to unravel and then a boss battle at the end. Beating this will earn you a permanent magical ability.
This is one location the player MIGHT find.
I really enjoyed it, one of the best games I've ever played. And TotK was even better; I beat BotW normally but with TotK I didn't want it to end, so I 100%'d it just for the sake of not stopping.
Fantastic games.
movie gamers are truly a cancer on the ecosystem
as are open world walking sims
Looking forward to playing the Deluxe Definitive Editions of these masterpieces on my Switch 2.
Based taste in both women and games friendo.
love BotW and replay it every year
can't bring myself to finish TotK
why is this?
There is a big gap in freedom and required effort between the games. BotW is relaxing and lets you explore without asking much thought of you beyond picking a direction and puzzle solving. TotK gives you some of the most complex crafting in a video game and then pressures you to use it to solve situations, this is stressful for people who were just looking to relax.
It's a much more complex game that is more rewarding and varied to play, but that is overwhelming to some.
BOTW's points of interest are ironically yhe most boring parts of it. Traveling between them is the meat of the game and it does it better than the games you mentioned. Dealing with changing conditions like rain and temperatures and deciding to climb or walk or shield surf of glide or ride a horse at each step of the way is a lot more interesting than just walking or riding everywhere. Or worse, fast traveling without having even been to the destination yet.
They watered down everything that makes Zelda fun and overshadowed it with gimmicky new mechanics.
been hearing this shit since 1998, shut the fuck up retard
8 years and counting
I hate that so many AAA games have been ripping off BoTW just because it's Zelda. It's done absolutely nothing new except be open world and Zelda. The game itself is just a bunch of ideas from other games, barely anything original about it. It's not bad, it's not great, it's just kind of there. But somehow it's revolutionary.
This has actual gameplay. TW3 doesn't not.
God I hate you trannies so much it's unreal.
I dont like open world games at all but this game is much much better than fucking skyrim lmao.
Ugh Dark Souls!? There's nothing unique about that formula, thousands of other games had bosses and dodging!
You're a retard if you think the details of implantation aren't the most important part of them. The WAY BotW went about its open world, physics and structure were unique in a way that made it stand out. If you can't even grasp that then you're probably dumb as shit.
I've beaten botw twice since it came out, idk how anyone can reply a game like that so often
The world is empty and has no soul. I can walk around skyrim for hours, just hiking around, killing random enemies, listening to Soule's masterpieces. Meanwhile in BOTW all I do is climb towers and cliffs while listening to the same generic piano music.
breath of the wild's world is littered with all kinds of things from koroks, to items, to outposts, bugs, fauna, flora, ect. Not sure how you can make this claim

The game doesn't tell you what to do your where to go. That's how it encourages exploration a constant sense of progression. It's a very addictive game, I dont think I'll ever play it again because i got my fill, not like all the other zeldas i enjoy playing again. but yeah I see why it's gripping.
It had no fucking structure, or progression for that matter, that's the problem.
Did you really just type the same shit twice in your own thread
Bing bing wahoo
