This is all facts
This is all facts
The eck can emulate old games for free, can be used as a laptop, can play more games, can use rivals games ie epic/gog, can be used to control MG turrets like in Ukraine, can probably be modded to control drones too for sending loitering munitions at russians/chinese, etc
gabeboy can't run elden ring at 60fps
ewaste
The dock for the deck costs about $100 dollarydoos extra, so the Switch is still cheaper for what it offers.
1090 x 1080
I too like my games in 1.009:1
The switch 2 shit but I will never understand people in this board shilling so hard for the garbage hardware that the steam kek has, specially in 2025
This, meaning while Switch 2 can run Elden Ring at 1080p 120fps HDR. How can Gaben even compete?
I think the Switch form factor is also better
Let’s be real, the Steamdeck is an ugly looking thing
I think ASUS one is much better looking
Switch has Mario Kart
fagtarded comma layout
euros
Europoor
Is it also as quick and easy to use as just putting it in the dock?
Will the switch performance increase in handheld mode while plugged in?
This. Mario Kart alone is better than every fucking shit Gaben has on Steam.
So people are gonna spend an extra $500 dollars more than originally would over the life of three console and people are complaining?
do retards actually believe the switch can run games at 4k 60fps?
People at the event say it wasnt even able to run BotW (a switch game) at 60fps
aint no way nintendie 2 has larger screen than steam deck
>gabeboy
lol
you don't need a dock, you can just plug it in with an hdmi chord directly, and if you have a TV from this decade you can just broadcast over lan
I'm amazed they believe it's going to be running much of anything at 1440p native. That's a big boy number for mobile hardware, let's be honest.
I honestly do not believe people can be retarded enough to buy a Steam Deck.
I full believe it will run first party titles at those numbers, third party, no fucking shot
Something people never consider:
Using Steam on the Steam Deck is very resource intensive.
aint no way
no fucking shot
fuck off lol
it can if you upscale and use frame gen like the switch
Steam Deck: Without dedicated games, Steam makes it run worse.
Frame gen
Uhhh yeah the Switch 2 it...can't do that...
And neither does the Deck.
No modern cucksole runs anything native and the shitch 2 is no exception, if you look on their website they explicitly mention upscaling and frame gen. Get ready for the worst period of gaming yet
I'm a random anon jumping in. That's a good thing too
Yes, it can, any system can. Have you not heard of the Lossless Scaling program?
Still, Switch will have better upscaling than the Deck. And I'm saying this as a Deck user, I hate FSR, made games like Elden Ring really shimmery, and the switch will have the new transformer model DLSS.
These aren't even in the same market so why do people force the comparison?
The numbers for the Switch 2 feel made up.
the deck is getting a better upscaler too, the lossless scaling dudes are working with valve to merge one of their scaling models into gamescope
This kills the eckcells
They're both handheld gaming centric devices in a similar price bracket, but beyond that you're absolutely right. The Deck is a portable PC with a controller wrapped around it, the Switch 2 is a console. I think it's mostly to draw comparisons either for or against the Switch 2, but honestly, I'm live and let live on this crap now. I have a Deck, and I really like it. It's fun for gaming and smaller and lighter than my laptop I used to cart around for diagnostics, so it's also practical for me as a portable Linux platform. If people want the Switch 2, good for them. I don't see a use case for it for me, and the games exclusive to it simply don't hold enough sway for me to jump over to it.
Haven't heard of that, I hope that comes to fruition then.
Still, for now Nvidia are the top dogs in upscaling, and the Switch 2 is the only current gen console who has an nvidia chip in it, rest is AMD. Nintendo will piggy back on the rewards of the latest tech as well, while not having to have taken the growing pains to reach them.
No hardware agnostic upscaler is going to beat DLSS.
How much did you get paid for this post, bud
I want in
ps3 was advertised as an 8K machine with 4D graphics
My PC
plays every PC game
My Switch
plays every Switch game
My Switch 2
plays every Switch 2 game
Steam Deck
plays some PC games
plays some Switch games
Only specs that matter are games
I've tried to stream Cyberpunk to my Deck from my PC in 16:10 in three different ways and it doesn't work. Does Cyberpunk just not support 16:10? I went into launch settings.
