Max level wizard
Okay, but my sword and armor looks cool. I might be dead but I at least look good.
Just punch em bro
Not so fast.
That's not a druid, you can't heal or deal proper ranged damage, druids can do everything.
play wizard, kill fighter and everything else, aoe the universe as an unstoppable god
boring and unfun
play fighter, go against max level god wizard, somehow eek out a win using simple but effective tools and solid strategy
satisfaction
they can do everything but half as good
you're jack of all trades, master of none
aka shit at everything
Nah, in WoW druids are the best at everything
You’re not as cool as you think you are. Frost mages always hit weak as fuck.
This is why elder scrolls is fun because I can cast magic in one hand and use a magic sword in the other while wearing cool armor
Doesn't even mog other classes in its own fucking game.
Warriors were only good as Tanks in vanilla / tbc. After that their only true role was taken by the other classes.
- mortal strike, not exclusive anymore
- main tank, pallys and dks were better with better toolkits
- pvp, countered to hell n back by half roster of classes with half the gear. Always dependant of pocket healer
- dps, decent at best only after getting all BiS
Do warkeks really?
Play BG3
Mixed party
Lots of options
Combat takes a long time
Play BG3
All fighters
Murder everything fast
Nothing comes close to killing anyone in party
Short rest heals everyone from near fatal traps
Jesus Christ. Casters are inefficient liabilities.
play BG3
am gay
Sounds about right.
Fighters are extremely overpowered in Dungeons & Dragons. It's a well hidden secret because redditors and other secondaries will go around talking about how strong casters are. But that's only because they don't ever actually play on tabletop.
The manual for original dungeons and dragons outright says as the start of the class section
A party of all fighters is an effective and powerful team
and warns you not to have too many supports (nonfighters) in your team
Fighters are good at combat
Genuinely astonishing. If only there was non-combat in a tabletop roleplaying game.
That's how I did it. 3 Champions Fighters and 1 Life Cleric
I don't even think I needed the healing from the Life Cleric but they had some useful utility stuff too and some good spells
I think Cleric is probably the only caster I *could* stomach playing
Yeah but when we're talking about class balance we usually mean combat, not flavor. Don't be obtuse.
I'm not saying an all-fighter team is good. It would be terribly boring. I'm just saying they're the strongest in combat. In their rules Hercules beats Merlin in pretty much every situation before level 17.
Remember PVP Pat?
Bring back rape warriors and shitting on noobs
he doesn't think 4 bumfuck 9 int fighters trying to get through socials wouldn't be a hilarious time with the lads
But yeah, I know what you're getting at. Spells are great utility and end fights before they even happen. It just ain't for me. I can't get into the roleplay of it.
Fighters are only gigachad if buffed by casters though, and in the DnD CRPGs I've played there are numerous combat encounters where you need casters to succeed.

BG 1 and 2? I did it on Insane with just martials because I didn't want to micro that much. Just need to know how your items work together.
I don't do LoB or difficulty mods though because I just feel like those aren't fun.
Casters do make it easier if you're not lazy for sure, though.
Warrior tanks are fucking crap to play I admit. Paladins just have way more useful shit and are easier.
Explain how you did that, I'm curious. How would get through all of the spell protections in the high level wizard battles in 2 with just martials? I seem to recall some melee weapons that dispel on target but wouldn't even that be insufficient to get through some of the really high level wizard battles?
The thing is that you don't need casters to get magical abilities. You can, and will, acquire lots of magical items through the course of adventuring. Now they're not going to measure up to the abilities of a full caster but they can get you close enough to chop off their head, which you can probably do in a single round even through stuff like Contingency.

Do you play with difficulty mods? I ask that because in the base game alone Carsomyr is enough to get rid of protections
not even Amelyssan or Kangaxx can resist the effect unless they specifically use a protection spell against the magic type (forgot what it is specifically)
That is what interests me in fighter class, it largely comes down to itemisation and you find a lot of gear with on use/once per day spells, summons etc. So i've always wanted to try and catalogue the items of various CRPGs to see if a solo fighter playthrough could work.
The situation I described is really tabletop only. Video game developers typically do not allow combat to end in 1 or 2 turns (nor should they). You'd need lots of extra supportive abilities, like the ability to break out of stuns, and the ability to heal yourself.
Gigabased. Mage warriors are cool and evil edgy knights are the coolest kind of them all
Of course, the one time I don't go gigachad 2hander warrior in a game.
I don't play with difficulty mods and to clarify I have only played through the saga completely three times so I am somewhat out of my depth in this discussion in truth. I never did run as paladin or with Keldorn in my party though so that explains why I memory holed Carsomyr despite killing that jerk Firkraag in each playthrough.
There are scrolls and potions for that.
Carsomyr is very worth it
Another thing that would've worked is a Fighter/Thief multi and using staff of magi but that requires sooo long to get to (not to actually get it if you trap cheese, more so you need the thief HLA to equip it)
Why are you wearing pajamas
Solo nonmulticlass unkitted fighter can beat baldurs gate 1+2+tob with zero deaths on hardcore unmodded difficulty. Use the items, use strategy and be smart.
is only good because one of the devs is a retard who gimped every other class
to be fair the level cap isn't very high so naturally casters are worse than they should be
My favorite class is always the game-unique made up bullshit class.
one of the most supported Yugioh monster types is Warriors
some of the best battle chips/cards in MegaMan BN/SF are swords
Slayer is one of most fun classes in DFO
some of the best legends in our real world are based around swords (Kusanagi no Tsurugi, Excalibur, Claíomh Solais)
Swordbros stay winning.
I play WotLK and fury warrior is probably the highest dps spec.
Maybe somewhere after WotLK which is spinoff zoomershit.
I'm still mad about the removal of stances
The Ranger/Rogue/Fighter(/Cleric) multi-class hell seemed to mog absolutely everything in BG3. My BM Lae'Zel was strong, but Astarion was simply broken like that.
But that's only because they don't ever actually play on tabletop.
No one min maxes in tabletop
