There are two exceptionally important reason why my desktop stays mostly without icons.
1. They block off the nice background picture
2. I may want to put some icons there in the future (vidya shortcut maybe), who knows, so I need to make sure there's space if this ever happens

What is the point of decor if you rent like 99% of zoomers? Its just a bunch of extra shit you need to haul with you and in this economy there is a chance you might need to move at a moment's notice.
Let alone the fact finding a new place takes days, so you may find yourself losing all that shit or paying for storage while you sleep in the car

My Desktop is pitch black and i use autohide to hide icons and the 1 pixel line of the taskbar windows doesn’t for some reason. Since im on oled it looks as if the screen/computer is off. Idk. why i get so much joy out of a powered on monitor looking like its off.
