Jannies pushed it off board to Anon Babble and Anon Babble while ignoring everything else in the catalog. In one especially stupid case, they closed it while a thread with a literal porn OP that was created before it almost reached bump limit.
All together, it was a nice time capsule back to a better time.

The Elin threads were quite active which is why jannies targeted them, it's a known fact that jannies often won't bother to delete off-topic until it becomes a high post/min thread; likewise, any game that's not the FOTM getting attention makes them angry for some reason.
Dozens of anons posted their bases, countless newfags asked retarded questions, and lots of fun was had. The threads stopped because people moved on to other games or got bored of the early access, there was no shilling, no organized campaign, just anons genuinely having fun. I was merely posting the reason why the threads no longer show up as frequently, if there was 100+ IPs posting when it came out the chances of threads being made more increases. I saw with my own eyes before they removed the ability to see the IPs the amount of people in these kinds of threads and there was not many IPs posting in them, just the IPs posting A LOT.

Personally my enjoyement of the game dropped hard when the dev spent 2 or so weeks just nerfing strats on a literal daily basis. Nothing screams "you're enjoying the game wrong" more than that, specially on a fucking single player game. Sadly I had way too much time to refund it, so I settled for a bad review.

It was funny as fuck to watch because very few profitable production chains or strats actually got nerfed in a way that made the unviable, and the ones that did were changed because they were too profitable for too little effort compared to unimplemented things that Noa was still working on that would be added later. Instead, anons were losing their shit over what was essentially game mechanics that weren't functioning the way they were supposed to be fixed to actually work in a game that's still being developed or exploits that allowed you to skip entire game mechanics so thoroughly that it could arguably be said to be less of a hassle than using cheat engine or dev mode be closed.
Shit, Noa swapped to nightly builds because he got tired of people screeching at him for fixing normal bugs and for people sending him bug reports for mods that were being broken just from him simply developing the game further.

They really should have seen that one coming. It was the most clearly broken thing because the game even said there would be penalties for having more than your population cap but because it was broken and didn't apply them they stacked up on farmers and then complained when it was fixed to be like the game said it should be.

I'm still playing. 900 hours. I have moved on to other games recently though like factorio or Dragon's dogma online. I also have a bunch of h games to finish...900 hours on an early access is a lot so I don't want to burn out.

No, you can just visit player-made bases sometimes

it's really funny because you can still get infinite money from blueberries if you just buy multiple plots of land
not to mention it's extremely useful to have many bases so you can teleport across the map to any village you want

got 70hrs so far, failed a ranged character because i don't know why ranged sucks but a freaking boomerang works(?) and after farming for a bit, seeds ramp up in quality... so i'm playing a farmer save for now.
