People joke how the switch only plays ports from old games, but so does the deck. Its great for emulation, which again is funny. People claim the switch is too weak for the games they want to play and those same people only play ps2 games or emulate.

Because they spent several years huffing copium believing they're actual competition when there's a strong chance the Switch 2 will surpass the Deck's lifetime sales within a month.
The Deck is a great device but it's still too niche to consider it competition for the Switch.
You're misunderstanding, the Deck vs S2 thing is just one of those trolling flamewars where nobody knows who's trolling who. People make these threads because newfags and tourists view (you)s like upvotes or dropping a Like on their post, so the more attention they get, the better.
I legit don't think there's an actual war between the two factions anyway, since the Deck is just kinda... there, and most Deck fans moved off to some Anbernic Ayn Odin Powkiddy Pro+ or whatever, and people willing to buy a launch S2 (or any console at launch) are too stupid to know how to make a thread.
It is true though, you don't even need a high-tier PC to play Switch 1 games, which is why Nintendo's fighting against Switch emulation so hard.
Anyone with a half-decent "gamer" PC is able to play Switch games at full 1080p+ with a stable 60 FPS on most games, and higher specs than that means playing them with graphical enhancements, upscaled render resolution, etc.
There's a few Deck clones that could probably still fit in a large pocket, but I'm not in the market for that stuff, so I wouldn't know all the details like which ones are good or bad.
I do like chinkboy shit though, and even some of the $200-ish shit runs a good chunk of low-mid tier PC games through Winlator or installing the Deck OS or Linux or whatever.
They are the exact same sales (capcom actually does inflate prices on switch for some reason). I can't believe cultish retards have fooled themselves into thinking valve is setting prices.

i mostly play n64 games on it, but i would really enjoy a device that fits on your average jean pocket, and had access to my steam library (which is filled with 2010 games, so nothing demanding really)
