My parents also had some old Amiga, but it was way too complicated (+ in English, which ain't our native tongue) , so I naturally gravitated towards the console.

The NES was the first console I got after my mom divorced him. We had picrel pack, and SMB in addition to it.
First played? NES

I had regular access to NES, SNES, PSX, and Genesis though. Born 89.
Born in 1995. My mom bought it for herself, but she let me start using it when I was around five.
Tetris was my first video game.

Some bootleg gameboy that only played tetris
Sega Genesis.
93, NES. my family got hand me downs from one of my uncles, my earliest memories apart from shitting myself were watching my mom play FF1 and accidentally deleting her save files trying to play it too, learned some weird words early cause of it. I'd stick my arm into empty pringles cans and pretend I was Megaman, tried to get everyone at my preschool to sing the ruby spears megaman cartoon intro but nobody knew what the fuck I was talking about. good times.
Born 92. It wasn't long before the switch to PS1 however. My first FPS game was either a shareware version of Doom or it was the version included on the 'games for windows 95' disc. As a kid I also grew up with Quake and Duke Nukem. Duke Nukem, Solid Snake and Sam Fisher were all my video game idols. I used to pretend to be Duke in first grade at lunch time while playing outside.
Old image, as you can see, but waddevah.

Born in 2003, received PS2 and OG Xbox as hand-me-downs.
For some reason GameStop sold PS2 and GCN games but not original Xbox ones circa early 2010s. I loved my PS2 but I would've gone for the Xbox versions every time if I could've.

A few friends, cheap eats, and some lame carts were a good time, man!
Born in the big 2K, when I was 4 my grandpa found one being sold cheap second hand so he bought it for me, my first memories with gaming are me and my dad playing SMW and DKC 2, SMW being the first game I ever actually fully finished on my own.

Born in '96, had a PS1 that was stolen during a break-in. My parents got me another, then that one broke around '03 or '04.

One summer day in 1994, my mom randomly came home with this SNES and Super Mario World (It's somewhere in my closet) at a time when I had no idea consoles existed and the only games I had ever played were on an Apple II at my dad's work. Got this ALttP copy shortly after, and my god, was it glorious at the time.
