He is right. Starfield was too genius for the plebs and filtered casuals en masse. You know it's true

Starfield is a "black community game"

that’s adorable

Release your game on ps5 and I will buy it

too different

kek, isn't the exact opposite of this is true?

I wish it was different, I wanted a space sim/exploration game and not a loading screen simulator. It feels like you are exploring rooms and not a galaxy

isn't it later this year?

different? it was fallout/rim in space
if you want the space game audience make a SPACE game bruh. I tuned out the moment I heard there will be no ladders, knew he had no idea what he was doing. then release, was hilarious and the shills here put me off even further. then the comparison videos to other similar games just embarrassing. no surprise he is worried about how ES6 will do, he can't make games anymore, relies on a 30 year old busted engine that has always been known for the glitchyness and the bugthesdaness

tv show was alright at least.

far too different.

Besides the massive amount of load screens. It was exactly the same as every other gamebryo game by Bethesda. Which is the major factor as to why people hated it. Bethesda and Todd never got better at making video games. They stagnated so heavily that people are looking back on their old games and judging them harshly now. Games they gave the benefit of the doubt but now know the dev simply wasn't good in the first place.

it was too different

LMAO TODD YOU ARE FUCKING DELUSIONAL MY MAN IT WAS SKYRIM IN SPACE NIGGA IT WAS LITERALLY SKYRIM IN SPACE SAME ENGINE SAME STRUCTURE SAME GAMEPLAY FUCKING DRAGON SHOUTS NIGGA GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE LMAOOOOO

It was bad because the world and quests were boring and bad. I can’t stress this enough. Gamers would put up with the loading screens or other outdated design aspects if the lore and quests were interesting. But they weren’t. Starfield has the worst, most boring quests of any game Bethesda has ever released. So it flopped.

It was badly written and running on a clunky, outdated engine. Like all Bethesda games for the past 15 years. This time it was so bad that there was no modding community to save it either

If it was just “more of the same” it would have been a hit. Skyrim quests are 100x more engaging than literally anything Starfield offers

too different from what they've done in the past

Indeed he is right, because they removed all the stuff people liked about their games while keeping in the stuff no one liked.

Gamers would put up with the loading screens

can confirm, me and pal played kingdom come on ps4 and the load at the start is like 5 minutes plus a cutscene you can't skip unless you hit circle at the exact right moment.

If it was just “more of the same” it would have been a hit.

It not having the setting to fall back on killed it. It allowed people to actually look at the game.

it was fallout/rim in space

No, it wasn't, and that was the problem.

See the above.

Hope that helps.

remove all the things that made Skyrim and F4 good

add even more loading screens

procedural Generation planets

barely RPG elements

Buy my game

It was fallout/skyrim in space, but it wasn't carried by the setting

Okay but name a single Starfield quest that holds up to a daedric quest in Skyrim. Even the shitty random dungeon quests you could find where you walk in and a ghost of the dungeon tells you to turn back and leave is more interesting than ANY quest in Starfield. Literally all the quests are just go to this person and talk to them then go back to the quest giver. No one ever betrays you, there is never a surprising moment or an interesting plot line like the Forsworn conspiracy or the Nadia quest, everyone in the game is very positive and cheerful and always honest it’s so fucking bizarre

yeah Modders just saying "fuck off we aren't fixing this shit" when they were fine with doing that for Skyrim and Fallout 4 is rather telling

conpany hired leftoids
leftoids can only produce slop
game is slop and its a failure

tale as old as time
leftists are not people

every other space sim has take off from planet animations or gameplay

we were bold to be different, perhaps too bold

How come the Path of Exile 1/2 fags can do 1:1 with angry people not satisfied with their game but Todd has no idea why Starfield was dogshit.

Like fire all your fucking community managers and speak to the community directly.

Maybe you'll learn something useful for once.

Fallout and Skyrim had fun quests and good exploration, Starfield has neither. I can’t stress enough how bad Starfield was. I would rather play launch Skyrim on a PS3 with no patches or DLC than ever launch Starfield agajn

The entire industry has been blowing smoke up his ass and telling him he’s a genius since Morrowind in 2001. He mentally classifies anyone that complains about Starfield as the same forum rabble that cried that Morrowind wasn’t like Daggerfall, that Oblivion wasn’t like Morrowind, that Skyrim wasn’t like Oblivion, etc.

character creation

Theoretically any game with that feature is a "black community game". Except for Attack on Titan 2 because that game doesn't let you make your skin too dark for lore reasons

Come to think of it Todd was always obssessed with idea of "infinite game" full or generated content

Daggerfall and its map/city/dungeons

Oblivion and radiant ai

Skyrim/Fallout4 and their quests

Saarfield and planets

So the question is will TES6 use generative AI?

That's exactly because of the setting. Shit writers are given something amazing to work with. They just need to look into already written lore to get ideas and create interesting quests with interesting factions, e.t.c.
Starfield was a completely new setting, created solely by useless talentless hacks like Pagliarulo. No wonder it sucks in all aspects, because without setting all those games are just same-y boring open world slopvilles.

Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be one of the worst video games man has ever seen.

It’ll either be the best game ever or the worst game ever, no in between.

no it wasn't

well it wasn't fucking kerbal space program with an rpg strapped to it was it?
fucking idiots I swear.

This will be determined by how good the mod support is.

LMAO

I doubt it as far as the land mass is concerned. If it actually takes place within a major province, that will likely be all handcrafted.

Real niggas play Starfield. Why arent you playing it right fucking now, yt boi?

Shame retards a can only fail upwards these days. I've yet to see these hacks actually fail and get punished for their dogshit.

It was like Skyrim/Fallout if Skyrim/Fallout was about exploding barren planets with nothing to do or see instead of handmade worlds and if Skyrim/Fallout had no interesting lore and no good quests and no radiant AI or immersive features

It constantly feels like bethesda learns the wrong lesson from each game and it just kept piling on until it culminated in Starfield. It's even funnier when Starfield lost a lot of their trademarks becasue of the set up.

well crafted environments with implied story gone in favor of procedural generation

because of the way planets and time work radiant AI is basically gutted so shopkeepers are just there 24/7 like in morrowind

themepark world design is cranked up to max with you just getting random quests all the time because random guards talked to you

you are basically the sole forcus of npc's in general

Nothing feels real in the game and it constantly reminds you of it.

The strength of a Bethesda game was always emergent gameplay:

open map

mark location

grab your gear and some supplies: craft/upgrade new weapons, outfit your companion, keep survival needs in mind

head out

5 minutes into the trek

random encounters, bandit hideouts

loot a bunch of stuff

discover 10 more locations, about to head into a dungeon

*fast forward two hours*

cleared 5 dungeons, killed 100 bandits, leveled up twice, completed 3 quests

finally arrive at your initial destination

head back to base

maintain gear, inventory, rest, head out again

Here's the issue with Starfield:

open map

pick thing to do

blast off into orbit (doesn't seamlessly mask the loading screen)

fast travel to target location (doesn't seamlessly mask the loading screen)

do the thing (inside a procgen dungeon in a procgen planet)

done

Bethesda kinda forgot about the one thing people play their games for; adding locations that are worth exploring and emergent gameplay events to keep players interested

1.png - 1920x1080, 3.57M

Kek, it wasn't different enough. They promised me a space sim RPG and I got fallout with a million loading screens

But... it's the same shit. You've been doing the same shit but worse every game since Morrowind you hack

remove handcrafted exploration

remove radiant AI, scheduled NPCs, and other immersive aspects that make the world feel alive

build a world so fucking bland that it feels like it was crafted by AI

wow, why don’t people like it

it was the same thing with worse execution because all the talented people left/ got fired ages ago

I remember how excited I was when they first announced Starfield. I imagined it as this space fantasy world with different planets and alien civilizations wher you go adventuring and exploring alien wildlife, towns and abandoned ruins. But then they revealed "NASApunk" and I lost all interest.

1629207625007.jpg - 945x1200, 259.81K

Why arent you playing it right fucking now, yt boi?

Being a nigger is boring.

In what way?

Bethesda games always were for plebs and casuals.

Yes, he's right, I can see it now. I'm going to buy Starfield right away and enjoy playing it so much.. is his wet dream, but just like those lego bricks, it will never become a reality.

excited I was when they first announced Starfield.

Imagine getting excited for a Bethesda game after not only the retconning faggotry that is Oblivion, the turbo-normie trash that is Fallout, 3, the casual slop that is Skyrim, and the retarded shit that is Fallout 4, Fallout Shelter, TES Blades, and Fallout 7-fucking-6.

You're a dumb retard and there's no hope for you and your ilk.

Different is fine, but different replaces something from the old with something new, Starfield isn't different it's just nothing.
Also they themselves marketed it as Skyrim in space.
And further to the nothing of the game even the woke elements weren't something, they were so light and half assed which would likely indicate Microsoft themselves were pretty hands off so it's even more embarrassing for Bethesda that they can't even blame out of touch tech executives.

Daggerfall and its map/city/dungeons

Did he even work on Daggerfall in any significant way. I thought he basically served as one of Bethesda's errand boys at the time.

menu's, loading screens and the ugliest staring npc's known to mankind. then making a spacegame without any space travel and the map already 'explored'.

insane, absolutely insane how they approached a 'space' game. and on top of it all, a fucking videogame writer thinking he's a good writer. my god, just implode already. you destroyed xbox, might as well destroy yourself.

haha, it was too different

why the hell do you have deathloop? It was awful

I wouldn't even mind Starfield's navigation being computer map based if it wasn't done just by more cut scenes and loading screens. In No Mans Sky you pick a planet on the star map and then your ship warp jumps in first person view without a garbage cinematic cutscene. The spaceport docking cutscenes in Starfield are even worse.

He's right, tripling the loading screens was too much of a change for my small brain to handle.

you destroyed xbox

based

The fuck is a YouTube boy?

No, I’m old enough to remember the days of constant loading screens. One of the few objective improvements of modern games is the relative lack of the fucking things, so you can’t expect me to be thrilled seeing them back.

too different

holy cope

IMG_0186.jpg - 1440x1407, 96.16K

exact same betheslop for the 20th year in a row

no god tier map design

no god tier world artists

he's right, it was too different. i always expected a terrible story, and a great sandbox world from slopthesda. this time around it was the worst story they've ever written, with the absolutely worst world in video games.

why the hell do you have deathloop?

black MC
The MC is cool though, so OK.

What an incredible list of games.
