Italian here. If you REALLY want to get here prepare in advance to get all your documents and certifications legalized to be recognized here. This'll save you a fuckton of bureaucracy and will generally give you a wider access to the job market.
That being said, if you land a job in a big industry (Nuova Pignone for example near where I live) you'll do minimum amount of job for an outrageously high pay for the local standard of living. Avoid restaurant jobs and bar like the plague.
The comfiest imho is finding a small 40ish people company heavily unionized (there's a lot here).
