Has your waifu's series ever had to do a major recast? In Trails of Cold Steel 4 the English dubbing happened over the Covid period so a few of the cast had to be changed for scheduling reasons and whatnot. Most of the replacements were okay but the real big loss was that the main villain had to be recast, in the game where he gets the most focus no less. Real shame.

They recast Noire and Vert due to union bullshit, with Vert's recast causing the hilarious situation of the same VA voicing the youngest and most mature goddess at the same time. And it shows too since Vert's original VA was better. For Noire, I guess it's fine, don't care about her but her Black Heart voice is funny.
Luckily, Neptune remains untouched, I think Melissa Fahn is a perfect fit.

Cordelia got recast in the gacha, that's about it that's affected the Arland games. I played most of them on dub anyway (Lulua is undubbed but Cordelia does not appear in Lulua).

For me, it was happenstance. I didn't know who she was until I played Shinovi Versus and I eventually fell in love as the series continues. It's more of a patience thing than anything. Perhaps find a girl that piques your interest and play their game to see if you meld with her? If not, keep patiently going until you find the one.

In Xenoblade X I just bumped into the first (of many) funny little troll moments in the game. There's a waypoint right outside the main hub town (you're encouraged to activate waypoints ASAP) but the actual location to activate it is way up in the sky, meaning you need an endgame vehicle you won't get for dozens of hours.

There is exactly one traditional JRPG treasure chest in Atelier Totori. When you get to the area it is in, there’s a cutscene with a slightly insane character (the Exceedingly Exceptional Genius Super Scientist Professor McBrine) and he tells you that the chest is trapped and not to open, then leaves. If you open the chest after he leaves it is trapped and does massive damage to Totori. It does not have a usable reward either.

After doing some more digging and learning about 2hu lore it seems the whole not really taking damage by normal attacks is more or less affirmed. Since rinnosuke tried to destroy a game boy with a mallet but a yokai that was just a hand got the way and got thwacked but simply brushed the aside showing no signs of pain or injury and then wagged it’s finger no and took the game boy. It’s funny to think that if Takane was stabbed by normal sword she’d brush it off like “nuh uh! But seriously don’t do that shit again and buy my stuff”. And dam now I understand why the yamawaro were using real throwing stars and katanas on each other in their war game , because it literally doesn’t matter to them it’s not like they’re gonna get hurt or killed if they use them since they’re just plain weapons! Though I’m sure most fu’s weapons could actually kill and hurt Takane (raikou, mythra, fire emblem characters provided they use magic or special weapons, kyoko, chachamaru, velvet,)
