Gave me a headache. If I wanted constant commentary, I'd watch a let's play on youtube. This sort of video game writing needs too die in a fire. I don't know if the writers/devs/play testers have afantasia, or if they feel the need to pander to people who suffer from it, but if your game doesn't let the player breathe, it will never be taken as a serious work. But given that the game has several options to skip bosses and puzzles, it's clear they had no intention of making a game.

Boring gameplay and the retrofitted dei stuff will make the game even more unpopular with the fabled modern audience.

While not Forespoken by any means, Hazel provides running commentary which is as engaging as it sounds

It's got some decent looking environments but that's kind of it, 2 chapters in and it just feels painfully generic in terms of gameplay and they don't lean enough into the aesthetic for it to be carried. More games sound go for that Southern Blues sort of soundtrack though, I will give the game that.
