Is warhorse AAA? Larian? But in general I think you have a good point. Although I think it's more like there are a lot more (like multiple orders of magnitue more) indie studios to begin with than AA. And a lot of good AA studios from the last gens ended up being bought by AAA or became AAA.

Gave me a headache. If I wanted constant commentary, I'd watch a let's play on youtube. This sort of video game writing needs too die in a fire. I don't know if the writers/devs/play testers have afantasia, or if they feel the need to pander to people who suffer from it, but if your game doesn't let the player breathe, it will never be taken as a serious work. But given that the game has several options to skip bosses and puzzles, it's clear they had no intention of making a game.
Boring gameplay and the retrofitted dei stuff will make the game even more unpopular with the fabled modern audience.

It's got some decent looking environments but that's kind of it, 2 chapters in and it just feels painfully generic in terms of gameplay and they don't lean enough into the aesthetic for it to be carried. More games sound go for that Southern Blues sort of soundtrack though, I will give the game that.
