Be honest, how long did it take you?
Be honest, how long did it take you?
i just beat iceborne, is this a fun boss to work towards or is it typical superboss slop eg: 1 shots in the final stretch, annoying shit etc.?
I admit, I spent like three hours fighting Alatreon before I beat him. I thought 'that was shit, why did i even bother'. I fought Fatalis twice and realized 'this is fucking garbage i'd really have rather spent three hours fighting 3U alatreon so why the fuck am i doing this again' and quit World forever.
I had fun with World, for what it was, but Alatreon and Fatalis were garbage, christ.
Why couldn't they have been like Kulve?
You can only get one shot if you suck, most of the dangerous attacks are positional, ie you stand in one place for a few seconds you'll die.
Him and Alatreon are kino and the best parts of Iceborne.
N/A
Haven't beaten Alatreon.
60 second post timer
???
it hits hard but it won't one-shot you. It's a dps race though, so you have to git gud
It took me not getting paired with retards and get paired with an asian dude who played well even after 2 people abandoning the quest
like a month with very casual gameplay, I beat him randomly when I was practicing. Meaning no drugs or even food buffs, so I feel pretty good about it.
I still can't solo Fatalis or Behemoth. They're so much more difficult than AT Nerg with high rank gear and Alatreon.
I haven't attempted alatraeon because my primary weapon has blast on it and I forgot what I was doing grinding out max rank elemental weapons. I hate every fight in worlds with one of these bullshit DPS check or the fight is over mechanics, but alatraeon is the worst.
not solo
Took me like a week playing a few hours a day. Hard as shit, probably the longest in the franchise besides clashing fists.
dps checks besides alatreon
Kill yourself
took me around 5 hours
Couple weekends
Sounds like you never got gud and are now stuck in permanent shitter status
Took me about 3 days before soloing it. Still the hardest fight in the recent MonHuns excluding stuff like level 300 anomalies because I never grinded that far so I can't say. However, since it is Iceborne, it's possible to cheese him just like any other monster. Using Wyrmstake with the bombs/snowman combo does like a gorillion damage to him, causing him to lock at 1HP until he transitions to his final phase in which a slinger stone will kill him.
Did you cheese him to solo it?
Outside of speed trannies all solos have some level of cheese
Nah, I didn't learn about Gunlance snowman thing until about a year later when I saw a bunch of Alatreon speedruns using it. I used Greatsword the first time I beat him.
I won't deny that I can't beat Fatty because of my weapons of choice but what's wrong with wanting to have fun with friends?
all solos have some level of cheese
N...no? I solo'd him without resorting to weird gimmicky bullshit. What are you getting at?
Nothin'
bout 6 hours with hammer, solo
struggling with Alatreon
Just hit his front legs. He gives you so many openings to do so.
ran as a 4 man group with some friends. We spent about 3 hours on it one night, then 2 hours or so the next night before we finally got him. Subsequent kills went down much easier.
Took me several more hours of practice before I was able to solo, and even then im far from doing it consistently. Feller is tough
a poor hunter blames his tools. i guarantee he can be solod with any weapon. that said, the game is for fun so who cares if you run with friends.
I always get bored of world before getting that far, desu
I think a big part of is that I fucking hate fatalis and every one of its variants, so I'm pretty comfortable not fighting it again
a poor hunter blames his tools
I suppose, but I would rather be a poor hunter than a speedtranny trying to beat Fatty with POKEPOKEPOKE
He probably plays lance. Iceborne Fatalis is infamous for singlehandedly killing the weapon's viability since the matchup is horrifc and he's all people want to hunt.
0 hours. i stopped playing after farming alatreon
Couldn't be assed.
AFRAID
For wilds how do you get that little fairy thing that flies in the corner next to you?
It's a DLC cosmetic. You either buy them individually(pick a color) or by bundle(all colors).
Took me about 12 attempts give or take over 3 days to solo him.
Me and my buddy spent like a week farming his set before we finally beat him. It was hype as fuck.
His gear is way too op
the roll
the chibi anime girl kill
It gets me every time
only in multiplayers. monhon is just more fun with more people
Coolest fucking elder
Just a pure traditional dragon through and through
Like three weeks, including the rank point grinding to upgrade my build. It was so peak.
Yeah I don't know why worldbabs think this is a really hard fight.
Post a video of you clearing it casually.
I gave up. I tried a sticky lbg with goldian set against him and only got to the final phase like 3 times out of a weekend of nonstop attempts (this was fade to black - so no 5 attempts and no felyne safeguard since I needed to eat for bombardier). I've use the cannons and everything.
Which is fine because he's supposed to be the very last monster you fight. Capcom just went full retard with the whole "Everyone gets to play" mantra, so you have carried shitters who are like MR30 in full Fatalis gear and refuse to hunt anything else other than tempered Teostra because they "beat the game". Raging Brachy and Safi should have been MR100, Alatreon should have been MR150, and Fatalis should have been MR200.
Slayed on 8th attempts with longsword.
3 tries first day
4 tries second day after learning about cannon opening
1st try on third day in 29 minutes.
he's literally the final boss +2
I will when they release the Switch 2 port.
It's incredibly fucking lame and boring ro invalidate every single thing you've already done with one armor set, I don't care if it's the final fucking boss, this was never as big of an issue in previous games
But setbuilding in world already sucked ass, fatalis armor is just the final giant smelly turd on top of the shitpile
ok now do it with a real weapon
I'll hold you to that, friend :)
longsword is the canon main character of monster hunter
It literally just makes it so you don't have to top off constantly and gives you access to whatever expanded skill you want, a boon to build variety
it doesn't make you oneshot monsters
it doesn't let you survive monster nukes
It's easier solo than with a group. One regret is my friends and I never did it together. We all did it solo though.
Rank grinding is cancer. It's good that Iceborne wasn't ruined by it like Sunbreak.
a boon to build variety
It is quite literally the opposite
When you only need one armor set, there are no "builds" to be found
You don't have any reason to fight any other monster
Your sets all look the same
It's all the same parts
It's fucking lame, it fucking sucks, it's fucking boring
World setbuilding in general is super fucking boring and restrictive, and wilds copied it for some reason so it too ended up being super fucking boring and restrictive
Who cares.
I mean, if you just went for the same skills anyway I guess. I just used it to max free meal and wide range for fun hoonts.
Haven't done it. I beat Alatreon and then realised I'd have to go back to farming shit for Fatty. Couldn't be bothered. The Anomaly grind was more interesting than this shit.
Longsword is more of a real weapon than shit like bowguns or the fuckers with shields
risecel got filtered
Not big surprise
anomaly grind was boring as fuck, just kill magala until 300 and then beat up a few shitmons for parts
Actually much faster than alatreon. With alatreon i had to actualy engage with each moves and use every opening, while with fatalis it's pretty much cone baiting mostly.I dont bother with small opening for a quick draw slash, because the risk of getting combo'ed is not worth it. It might also be because i dont bother with elemental GS tho,i just went with blast for both,so i had to play perfectly.
some 2 days with Lance. It was easily the best fight in the series.
where's the music?
not using elemental GS on Alatreon when attempting your first clear
Why? It was babby's first Alatreon clear.
I've solo'd every World monster except Behemoth and I guess Leshen if the witcher thing doesnt count.
Behemoth is straight up not fun and actively wants you spam flash bombs or manage to gain emnity consistently without him starting to spam meteors so it can fuck off.
Behemoth is straight up not fun and actively wants you spam flash bombs
Irrelevant because you're fighting Extremoth with master rank gear. If you can't kill him you're a shitter that doesn't deserve to wear full Fatalis.
I dont use elemental GS on principle.
it pauses for the kickass roar
Lol with MR gear it doesnt fucking count, im talking when the motherfucker dropped, playing on baby mode for some loot that doesnt even matter at that point of the game is dumb, just like the point you just tried to make.
I never even got to it. I got filtered by Black Veil Vaal Hazak and uninstalled.
It took me like 3 fails before I finally clicked and started winning.
This was genuinely the best final fight I have ever experienced. Artistically I think Gwyn comes close, with the irony of him being a push over a great conclusion to Dark Souls. But Fatalis was brutal while also just being a skill check, and with absolutely 0 bullshit design mechanics or ideas involved.
Im pretty hyped to see how Wilds ends and who we fight.
Why in the fuck did they go back to 4u guild quests and why did so many people like it
Im pretty hyped to see how Wilds ends and who we fight.
Yamatsu Kami.
Rise brought back the serpent skeleton and the final fight was Amatsu. Wilds bringing back the octopus skeleton probably hints at Yamatsu making its way back.
Oddly enough, got first solo kill on first solo attempt. It was supposed to be a plunderblade suicide run for evil eye
I finish in about 15 minutes or so if I'm not edging or taking it slow for my partner or something
It's a very well crafted fight that'll test everything you should have learned over the course of the game. Everything is reactable, positioning and environmental awareness matters, and item preparation and usage greatly benefit you.
It's worth working towards. He's the real final boss and incredibly satisfying.
That makes sense given the new squid animation skeleton they created but I feel like there will be a Fatalis type fight again as well, Zoh is labelled as 'Innocent' which gives hints of a bigger calamity version of it same way Xeno was a baby and we got the adult later.
Sure it does. Most people still can't clear Extremoth even with MR gear because he doesn't just sit there letting you hit him all hunt. All the attack and defense in the world won't save you from his fight mechanics. You'll still easily fail the quest by triple cart or time out if you can't maintain aggro and constant DPS.
3 hours and yes I used longsword
I did
Lance is the thinking man’s weapon. It filters many players which is why nobody uses it except elites.
alright thanks for answering. charge blade btw am i cringe or kino?
How tf do you beat the arena challenge quest with those presets in 5 mins....
i got my ass obliterated when i tried fatty with a switch axe
Lance has a great power fantasy but it is also, still, boring as sin, because its so easy to play. GS in Wilds at least is just Lance but better for those phat hits and glorious moments.
Only one person has posted proof of completion
have full +5 guard
fatty’s basic fireball does so much knockback that he can chain another fireball before you recover
this means blocking even one basic fireball locks you into guaranteed death if you’re solo
you’re actually better off just getting hit in the face than blocking
Good game design.
Only once because I was carried
I stopped after Shara. I don't really care about postgame Autism-Tempered+++ monsters.
He only 1 hits with cinematic moves you have enough time to avoid, and if you don't break his horns before the last phase
By the time fatty came out, I already farmed plenty of other monster sets
I can see this being valid if you played iceborne after all the content dropped, but even then you'd likely farm a few sets in grank before you fight fatalis, the fight isn't a pushover and I'd recommend solid gear and decos to do it
No. I play Lance and refuse to use any other weapon.
Multiple weeks of tries, at least 15-20 hours of attempts in total, albeit I am a turboautist who refuses to use the clutch claw or cat or the mantles
Fatalis is among the toughest vidya challenges and certainly one of the best bosses in gaming. Shitters' tears are the icing on the cake.
filtered by IB alatreon
IB alatreon is kino as fuck, they finally made him a black dragon worthy monster master of all elements, instead of shitty large kushala clone
m.youtube.com
Youre turn
I hate gimmicky siege quests and instakill aoe dps check quests so I skipped it
Fatalis is the only video game boss to have caused me physical harm twice. Back in 2009 I was playing MHFU on my PSP, grinding 10 Fatalis to unlock White. My left pinky was getting tired from clawing so much that I used the side of my finger instead, until it pierced my skin and I actually started bleeding.
Jump forward to like 2020 or whenever Fatalis dropped for Iceborne on the PC. I was fighting him for a few hours trying to get the patters down, but I had to go do the dishes. Lost in thought I accidentally pricked myself with a knife, drawing blood once more.
I think Fatalis wants to kill me.
Then you fight practically anything else except Velkhana, the OTHER reason lance got shat on so hard in Iceborne and you feel like an unkillable god. Fighting tempered Teostra with lance is so much fun.
instakill aoe dps check quests
So you suck at the game and dont care to get better, good for you. Not sure why you felt the need to let us know
Grigori honestly was not that hard in DD2. Sadly a let down since his fight was a lot better in dragons dogma 1.
I'd rather fight Fatalis and Ala than those fucking crossover monsters in base World again. Behemoth from Final Fantasy and some Witcher 3 nigger, yeah? Didn't even feel like Monster Hunter fights.
Git Gud, shitter. Behemoth gives zero shits about your EX Boltreaver, 140 apex Zinogre, and Super Brachy clears.
He should. Those are actual monsters, not fucking FFXIV rejects. This is what happens when you kill Frontier off.
just evade lol
Kek, always knew fag who's shitting the wild/world thread are the owner of kiddie console
Behemoth is only okay in a group but is still manageable solo. Ancient Leshen is straight up dogshit even with a group. I couldn't imagine fighting that solo.
did i just get banned
Not it isn't lol. I play Lance because it's easy mode.
Agreed. Extremoth is the worst solo fight in the game. I gave up trying to solo him in World and he was a bitch to kill even with G rank gear. Pretty sure he took me more time to solo than fatty
? post or game?
4 hours
It's really fun in Sunbreak with all the wirebug moves. I just wish there was a smoother way to utilize all of them at once without constantly switching stances.
i posted in that mei porn thread and it looked like they did a thread ban
raw gs beats it faster even with a cart lol
I've never been able to disbale Alatreon's super move with elements, I just rawdog him and eat a cart or two.
My only gripe with Sunbreak Lance (and I know it's a skill issue) is the weird timing with insta block, because your character does that weird circle thing with his arm before blocking. So then if you're timing is off and you only get a normal guard, it feels like there's a massive pause before you can release guard/guard again. Still, Lance felt so strong in that game I was able to clear all the Risen Elders with 0 carts. Cross slash from insta block and Sunbreak's upgraded Anchor Rage felt really good to have. And elemental lance was actually good too, which I loved.
That's the tradeoff. I think it's my favorite lance counter of all time. The timing is somewhat strict, and gives you a quick and powerful but not too powerful counter, and you can only use it from neutral so you're not just poking buttholes all day.
You play Lance because you are smart. It’s a weapon for true hunters.
I've been banned for calling out shills in the past, mods will do whatever I guess.
Does that apply for Wilds Lance too, because that's my main. Has been for World/Rise/Wilds.
I've received 3 day vacations when occasionally posting in animal threads on here, just because off-topic threads on Anon Babble are usually pretty comfy.
It applies for all games.
Even Gen 1.
These are dangerous, dangerous monsters. Real hunters bring their A game.
"Smart" weapons are probably the bowguns since you either plan out your build, loadout, combine materials and hitzones perfectly for each hunt or eat shit. The "action" aspects of the game suffer as a result. Lance is more just getting in there and having a bash with the monster. And that's fun.
All these excuses and no proofs
git gud
aka "korean mode" it and fight the same monster 20 times
the dragon completing freezing at the end is pretty good too
carting
You cart once, you abandon immediately. Dem's the rules 'round here.
My hunt hasn't even started yet until I've carted twice.
fortifynigger
"An error has occured" (MH4U)
Three years
two of which was spent on hiatus
I did that when I first started the series with GU and it sucked. Kinda helped but by the time I reached GU I just didn't care anymore.
I've only played base World and base Rise and really liked them both; would I have trouble getting into FU? Thinking about going back to the old games.
Probably not with the combat, but you'd have to get used to prep with crafting and making different weapons for the occasion. The monsters are pretty slow in FU but so are you and there's more things in the monster's favor. Small monsters being annoying as fuck is one of them, that's a hurdle you'll have to get over eventually.
It's essentially the same game with less QOL and more punishing. The weapons are lacking some moves but the core movesetts are all there.
4 faints
Uh huh
Three workdays, so it’s about 12 hours of trying, including changing the strategy.
He didn't use mantles, wall bangs, tenderization, cannons, etc. It's impressive for what it is.
It's really not.
I'm playing World for the first time with CB. I know the weapon has a bit of a learning curve but I feel like I'm killing bosses really slowly. Up to Nergi atm and my hunts are taking like 20m+, maybe more idk. Am I mostly undergeared (HR bone) or is this typical?
I generally understand CB gameplay is SAED and try to land those guard points but I'm wondering if I ought to just switch before I get actual progression locked
there ya go jimmy, it was like the day after he released
You get good at CB 1000 hunts in
Am I mostly undergeared (HR bone)
Yep
I generally understand CB gameplay is SAED
Nah, SAED's okay if you minmax for impact phial damage, or hunt the very specific mons that have good elemental shitzones like the Blos duo, Teo/Luna, Kulve etc., otherwise the default for optimal DPS is savage axe pizza cutting
I can't remember so much if SAED was nerfed via Iceborne or if Savage Axe was just so much better. But try playing with Savage Axe style (press L2/LT when charging your shield). The damage on it is pretty insane. As for playtime, 20 minutes is absolutely normal when you're still figuring out the game/monsters/weapons. Eventually you will become proficient enough to beat almost every monster in under 10.
3 hours or so I think? 7th tries
first 3 timed out, 4/5th restart, 6th failed, 7th tries almost lost with few seconds left.
Needing to destroy the horns again after Alatreon is so stupid
It was, and then the weapon became unga bunga again once the kjarr weapons released.
A day and a half but I went into it without fighting any archtempered or unlocking mr100.
Beat archtempered velkhana to make its set and finally managed to slog through leveling up mr to 100 some time later and the timer wasn't even an issue anymore.
20m+ isn't that bad at all for a first timer, don't worry about it. Also don't mind the flexers posting 2 min Nerg kills from back in 2018 when the bow had wall-jump strats. Monster Hunter has been a part of Anon Babble for a very long time so a bunch of players are already 2000+ hours in and know monsters like the back of their hand and weapons are second nature to them.
twitch streamer girl was able to beat Fatty after 5 tries
Asmongolem never good. Actively avoids any conversation bringing him up. Had a mini breakdown after Velkhana, had a major breakdown after Alatreon.
He's absolutely destroying everything in Wilds, including Tempered Mizu and HR Zoh without any failures.
So who do we think the final final boss of Wilds will be?
Completed Zoh Shia -> White Fatalis
Yama Tsukami
Archtempered Chatacabra Blanco
To add to this, it was finally being able to finish the challenger amulet that did it.
Previously the only way to deal enough damage for me was fortify, but having challenger at max plus all the slots for a couple of damage gems the archtempered set gives you made it so I could deal fortify+2 damage without fainting once and that made the whole thing a cakewalk.
Basically gimped myself immensely the first time I beat it.
New mon/ Safi's equivalent of Zoh Shia.
Or they bring white fatty back, but I doubt it it's can't run on nostalgia and since people don't really like how all encompassing and ridiculously dominating Fatty gear is in IB.
Wild card: Dalamadur
NEVER EVER: Shan Tien
Guardian Fatty
literally first tried it
worldbabs think this is hard
they would shit themselves against Primordial Malzeno, you know, from the game they claim is "easy"
nice fanfic tendie
t. shitter
Nobody claimed Sunbreak was super easy. Only base Rise, and for good reason.
is it artificial difficulty when people pretend things are hard?
post solo clear
For HR or MR?
HR will probably be Gog or Dalamadur (the grand hub is its ribcage)
MR will be White Fatty
Cringe if you're a SAED spammer, Kino otherwise
Think it took me about 10 hours of attempts because I kept mixing things up instead of just grinding it out. I did full safi LS initially but killed it with SnS. Eventually I got a 15 min solo kill with LS on my "comfy" Fatalis set close to when I quit World.
I beat Primordial first try thoughalbeit using Lance.
If they're really going "this is world 2" then it's Crimson Fatty. They have the budget to spare since supposedly wild had a bigger opening weeke than even world's.
Never forget.
kushala daora
primordial malzeno
hard
lol lmao
I hate every fight in worlds with one of these bullshit DPS check or the fight is over mechanics
Only Fatalis and Alatreon have something like that, the fuck are you talking about?
post Primordial Malzeno clears. You know you haven't even touched Sunbreak.
post fatalis clears. You know you haven't even touched iceborne.
I agree with him and I'll do you one better.
Here's me soloing arch-tempered nergi with just the defender gear. Hands-down the hardest thing I've done in this game, beyond anything in master rank.
Forgot pic.
Primordial malzeno would make you fags cry.
Here's
doesn't exist
KWAB
where's the solo fatalis clear?
Now let's see your Primordials, Wordbab.
anon please learn to read, he literally said he beat alatreon
I expected you to ask for it, but it's hilarious since it means you don't get what beating archtempered nergi with the defender set entail, so here's it as well.
I've never had problems with killing monsters in this series, I just care about times. All my anger comes from my times not being as good as I want them to be.
4 faints
longsword
it's not hard bro i swear
video probably isn't even yours since the guy who uploaded it literally says fatalis is a beast in the description retard
here you dumb retard
muh armor
you can beat at nerg naked retard, you can beat any monster in the series naked for that matter
25'50''
won't even show faints and party size
yeah bro totally easy KEK
otherwise the default for optimal DPS is savage axe pizza cutting
i hate how this is the norm for CB now
i miss fishing for AED headsnipes
You're not me but you're allowed to use my shit to dunk on these retards.
True fans simply beat all the hard fights no matter what game they're in.
Here's my fastest archtempered velkhana without attempting speedtrooning strats.
soloed it in 2 tries
"true fans" won't post garbage like this
Party size
parties are for faggots.
I bring my cat and my cat only and that's because I love my cat.
Here's one of my coolest looking clears, with a base velkhana set.
anyone can beat archtempered nergi
Do it with only the defender set + weapon and post proofs.
fastest archtempered velkhana
thats regular velkhana
Soloed your mom
Haha holy shit no wonder it was so fast, wrong pic.
that looks more like it
Been fun digging through my screenshots folder. Forgot how good world looks visually compared to wilds.
He was hard but not as annoying as alatroon
My only complain is timer, i was a SA main and had to spam zsd for this fight
But after fatalis i lost all interest in iceborne
I wish they added some god monster as a title update for sunbreak to
nta but what about the hazard ver? i think when the anon says hes hard theyre talking about the hazard version, same with risens at certain anomaly level
Alatreon was piss easy to solo. He's harder in groups because of EJ but his moveset is easy to handle.
Fatalis took like 2 tries with Lance but I beat him. Sweaty AF fight.
I then made an Alatreon SA and used that. Didn't even know what ZSD was, I only knew SA from SA-F... First try, both horns broken. EZ.
Then I tried it with SnS. First try, even faster, both horns.
Made me realize Fatalis is ONLY hard with Lance (from my weapons, idk about the rest), all my other weapons destroy him
but isn't SA the easy and fast weapon for cheesing fatty while getting reliable horn breaks? it was the only fight where i even tried using switchaxe and it still felt easier than with other weapons. it wasn't particularly fun to act like a khezu whelp hanging off fatty's face but it worked
You talking about TA or first clear?
The former i don't care about, but the latter uhh i think it was a few quests in so couldn't be more than 2 hours or 3 at most. Never really solo'd it because i actually have more fun getting paired with randos (even with retards) for big fights like that. Plus i hate using cannons/ballistas so someone else can use that.
Yea zsd face spam breaks his horn very fast
I thought base Rise was harder than base World, at least before postgame content. Rathalos in Rise gave me more trouble than anything in World or IB did, until Barioth. I liked Rise a lot, but I still think World was a better game, just because I'm really into the ecology stuff.
alatreon was a fun fight for cb. enough upwards reach in axe mode to just keep buzzsawing him while occasionally getting out of the way of his moves. kept getting 12 min times so not amazingly fast but it was a fun excuse to finally use elemental savage axe cb
like two hours or so, white fatalis in 4U was way more AIDS than IB fatty.
fucking 30 minute quest timer though
games give silly stupid needless reasons on how you're able to kill the same monster over and over and it's someone lore-fitting
oh also you can just kill hundreds of Fatalis
Why even waste time with the others when you can just say it's a video game?
Base Rise is harder than World IF you ignore the village quest and go straight to Hub quests, they're much much tankier and a bit more resistant to flinch/stagger/ko than World atleast the Low Rank ones.
7 attempts for me
SUBALUWA
NTA but this is exactly the reason i drifted off CB in Wilds despite maining it since 4U. I get that they wanted the weapon to be more than SAED: The Weapon but pizza cutting hurts my fuckin hands between holding the pizza button and focus aiming. Plus it just feels wrong having to dump a phial before doing SAED so you can't do it with full (if you do it not from guarding).
Iceborne CB was nice for enabling me to do both without shitting on the other.
do you guys use palico when playing solo?
CG Valstrax and the Apex fights, not even counting the Emergency quests, are a lot harder than anything base World has unless you're doing some retarded shit and soloing one of those shitty DLC bosses without solo scaling
I rarely see any first clear other than GS/LS/SA/CB. ig? db? hh? gl? hammer? bros, where the fuck are you
didn't find rise valstrax particularly hard. i think i had more trouble with some of world at fights
Good boss but I prefer Primordial Malzeno.
My first clear was with an IG. I was using the gay bolg and wearing full dragoon layered clothing. what about it?
10 Arch Tempered Frenzied Alpha Elemental/Status Doshagumas
Question, is there anywere a place to see how much does the anomaly level changes a monster's Damage and HP? I am at around Lv 220+ and i've been curious about that for a while
The fucking EX apex Zinogre from base rise I wish everyone experienced. But much like archtempered nergi it's mostly skipped on to get to master rank.
I thought base Rise was harder than base World
I thought the opossite, the Low Rank of Rise went by so fast i was baffled.
He was only hard because of the time limit so I got filtered off of my usual GL playstyle and killed him with DBs.
Sorry anon, I don't know such places but for hp and similar stuff usually using an old site called Kiranico. For Risens, they gained more movesets at 260+ iirc
gunlance sounds like a nightmare
The only reason low rank goes by slower in world is because you get to experience the most gratingly slow unskippable fucking cutscenes ever put in a MH game.
Valstrax always kicked my ass. Since GU. The only consistent way I had to beat him was SnS and no other weapon.
I can beat him in Rise but he juggles my ass the entire fight unless I use SnS
archtempered nergi
Honestly not too bad unless you're going for kill times. People need to learn they don't have to go full damage all the time and just slot in some counter-skills for the fight
First clear with Hammer, he's golfswing bait and charging is easier than GS
He's piss easy with SnS. IB SnS is ridiculous.
Asmon has the cat heal him every 50 seconds.
just hold r2 bro. as a cb maid I hated the pizza cutter shit until I learned that
This thread made me curious so I went back and fought Primordial again. Haven't played Sunbreak since late 2023 and going back after Wilds' Lance feels weird so I resorted to leaping thrust spam. Probably could have dropped a minute or two with more practice. Yes I brought the healslut cat and no I'm not sorry.
I think focus mode has broke me because it took me a good minute and almost a one shot to get readjusted.
Primordial is more of a SNS monster desu.
Those wing pokes feel like lances to me but to each their own.
It's both, the tail can be a Lance also
For sure
Base world was really fun and way better than base rise but i hated iceborne for some reason, i hated ice map and every hunt feels very samey
World>>>>>>rise
Sunbreak>>>>>iceborne
nta but I love Hoarfrost, it was my favorite Worldborne map. But I generally love snow locales. Except Iceshard Cliffs, that place sucks.
Within 3 hours I think the day after his release on Friday. Alatreon was with 45 mins of the update.
at least a couple hours per day for a week, but now i can kill him even in my dreams. amazing fight
any tips for fighting this nigga?
mh4u fatty is much easier thanks to IG being busted but this one is a bit too aggressive for me for most weapons
Bring smoke bombs. Same with Alatreon. Those bastards fly around too much. Drop a smoke bomb or two and hide in it. They'll land and "search" even when you start attacking them again.

So it's gonna be something like hit ▲/O -> hold R2 during attack and so on? But wouldn't holding R2 trigger the morph? Seems kinda annoying still on paper but i'll try it out next time i run the game
shit my bad, meant main
the timing is a a little annoying because if you hit it early in the swing it WILL trigger the morph. what I do is hold l2 for focus aiming, hit circle with the pizza cutter out and once the attack starts hitting the enemy, I continuously hold r2 while I am doing the O>O>triangle loop.
it can be annoying at first because you are going to be holding l2+r2 the entire time, but I got used to it pretty fast. really upped my enjoyment because I absolutely hated holding the face buttons for it
Are you using the high res texture pack? Your image looks way cleaner than mine. Especially all the little details on the rocks.
god i hate wilds
fuck man
god i love wilds
peace man
Bring a mantle with artillery slotted to put on for the initial cannon strike and the roaming ballista for double damage on those (it CANNOT be the ghillie mantle because that breaks the moment you shoot the cannons so you dont get the buff)
Also for ballista the chest is the good shot hitzone
Save binders for phase 3 as you work towards second headbreak
If you're really out of position you can block the fire cone unlike some of his other breath beams
Fatty CANNOT be stunned by any means, avoid power phials and hammer
Don't try to kill yourself trying to tenderize the head because it already has a cut hitzone of 75(!) which tenderizing only increases it to 76. Obviously still triggers WEX but the raw damage increase is tiny.
nigger
Yeah, and?
avoid power phials
Bad advice as Power phials are the only phial type that does actual damage due to the bullshit elemental shitzones fatty has
I use like 4 mod+the high res pack+reshade. The mods are:
nexusmods.com
along with the disable lens+volumetric fog mods
around 2 weeks, managed to do it on SnS
Did they really get rid of fatty's massive dragon hitzones? Holy shit I hate mainline devs
It's less that the elemental zones are bad (they aren't great in any case) but that the cut hitzones are so excellent that the elemental damage is still a small proportion of total damage. Fatty's head is one of the softest in the game.
Took a while to really own the fight but when I was grinding eyes for all the fatty weapons I got my time down to sub 15 with swaxe.
oh my bad didnt realize that was a thing i stopped playing soon after the last patch cause the end game grind wasnt enjoyable with the qurious shit. so just for you i reinstalled and beat it in 4 tries had to remember how to play the playstyle of rise
Fellas I just beat Sunbreak
Why the fuck was Gaismagorn there? Ok fight and all, but the cunt comes out of nowhere and gets instantly demolished.
Alright bois, it's finally time. G3 Urgent Gog time.
I don't know if this set will pull through on the damage but we're backlegging it for 50 minutes straight with some dragonators and bombs here and there.
