The mod had connections and send it to every eceleb. Mand was one of them and he "signal boosted" the message, while strongly admonishing Vinesauce's "EVIL!!!" behavior, calling him a bunch of names.
After people read about the accusation, many came to the conclusion that the shit has to be fake, and even if it was real: it was between consenting adults. Mand than gave Vinny a half hearted "tsk, you are still gross" apology and blamed the former mod.
