Update of my playthrough of all Assassin's Creed games:
I'm done with AC2
coolest shit bruh
Update of my playthrough of all Assassin's Creed games:
this scene is still cool to this day
Is it as jank as AC1?
I remember playing both AC1 and Brotherhood waaaaaay back in the day, but I didn't remember AC1 being this clunky.
I was just in it for the Jesper Kyd soundtrack, to be quite honest.
the change from AC1 to AC2 is so incredible
it feels so fluid bruh
Not at all, AC2 is sublime. I really liked how you develop each area towards the assassination but it got very repetitive, although AC2 is more straighforward in this regard, it's a better game.
I also loved 2. Imo brotherhood is just as good, if not slightly better. Nothing cooler than making a crew of all female assassins
Ezio looking kinda chubby
Haven't played AC1 but the parkour is jank in AC2. Ezio fairly often jumps to where you didn't want him to jump to or grabs onto ledges you didn't want to. Sometimes he refuses to go further up for seemingly no reason. Stuff like that.
ok
I hope so, because the amount of times AC1 fucked me over with both the clunky parkour or the bullshit notoriety system is astounding.
The notoriety system in AC1 can fuck off actually. It's either random as fuck or the game doesn't explain it very well.
fr though this game slaps hard, there's a reason it's considered a masterpiece. It's easy to forget how kino Assassin's Creed used to be after playing the newer ones, they just don't make them like the classics anymore
There is no notoriety system in AC1. You only get notorious after killing a boss before hiding or when you encounter a general (loud as fuck so you know about them sooner then they about you). AC2 does this better, the parts where you have to hide amongst the crowd are great.
Love jesper kyd so much
youtube.com
Gameplay is better, performance is somehow worse though. You can't go above 60 FPS framerate while on AC1 you can.
Brotherhood looks so crisp
Well sadly you've just passed the best game in the series, it's all repetitive slop from now on.
I mean the general guard behaviour. Sometimes they ignore me despite me being right up in their face and them being "in the red", sometimes they ignore me when I try to blend, sometimes they go ballistic and attack me, despite me blending and being on the other side of the planet. And at one point the entirety of Masyaf turned on me, because I bumped into one guard with a horse.
Jesper Kyd is the beethoven of video game soundtracks
All the games up to asscreed3 were fantastic and each new game brought something new and revolutionary tech or feature to the games. I have a soft spot for asscreed3 due to the cities, boston was absolutely amazingly well made. And yeah, black flag was great, too. The rest of the games? Eh, i dunno...
PAPAL GUAAAARD!
second best game in the franchise
THE LIBERATION OF ROMA HAS BEGUN
just looked up his wikipedia to see what he's been doing since AC and Hitman and it's not a lot, sadly.
Agreed. Despite the Byzantines being bad guys I even like Revelations. Wraps up Ezio's character arc nicely.
I wonder where Lucy's story arc would've gone if Kristen Bell didn't throw a tantrum.
No mention of the glyph puzzles? They were the best part.
I've been replaying the games too, and currently on Rogue. And it dawned on me that it is the last ''classic'' AC game. fug
I believe Jesper's style isn't safe enough for corporate. He'd be better off doing indie games if he isn't yet
To be fair, they did wrote themselves into a corner around AssCreed 3 and spent 3 other games trying to undo the metaplot, until they went "fuck it" and rebooted the whole thing with Origins.
I had this as my desktop background for years
wow this game does NOT hold up as well visually as I remember it doing lol.
go look in the mirror faggot
They would have got rid of her anyway. Desmond is irrelevant
Pokemon games look like that and people still buy it.
that's just what italy looks like
Grim.
You sound obsessed.
There are Switch games that look like this in the mid-2020s and this game was a console port from over sixteen years ago based on an engine from the mid-2000s.
Eh, I guess they were setting him up to be relevant - probably an entire game about him being an Assassin in "modern" day. But then it turned out nobody likes Desmond or cares about the modern day plot. And they scrapped the whole thing. And the modern plot is getting less and less relevant in every new new installment. I don't think.Shadows even has a modern day sequence.
This game is legit a 10/10 if you actually visit Rome before playing it
its like going home
To this day I see buildings from Florence on TV and get dejavu about climbing them.
Absolutely blew me away how accurate it was. Having the entire game map within the Aurelian Walls was just genius.
Modern AC with Watch Dogs elements could be great, but Ubisoft has no good developers anymore.
its different if you actually experience them in real life.
while its really scaled down, you can still tell where stuff is supposed to be and how to get there
oh im at the mausoleum of augustus, so if I go down this street and turn towards this direction, yep here's the place where the spanish steps are supposed to be (they're not there though because they werent built yet)
I thought Unity/Syndicate were true last AC games.
I loved Unity but never played Syndicate, combat looks bad and no swords, also it's the first game that started to dip into woke stuff
It is a good life we lead brother.
The best. May it never change.
And may it never change us.
KINO
Is Kenway and Altair the only protagonists without a revenge story?
I guess Kassandra/Alexios as well.
WATCH OUT FOR THE LEONARDO QTE
Adewale and the Frye twins maybe. Maybe the pajeet from the 2D games, but I never played that one.
