Sony and it’s not even close. Nintendo are number one and they will never port their first party games to PC so they will always have a user base. They are also the only console with Pokemon and that’s unironically too big to fail. XBOX were smart and bowed out of the console war all together. Instead they focused on becoming the biggest video game publisher and they are raking in the rewards now. Their goal is to promote their “This is an Xbox” bs and it’s clearly working. They are also going to release their next console with Steam on it so they are embracing the PC user base as well. Playstation is unironically fucked because they no longer have a niche, they port all their first party games to PC and they don’t even make smaller AA games anymore. The PS5 won’t even beat the PS4 in sales and the PS6 is going to fare even worse considering people will just not upgrade seeing how they are STILL releasing games for PS4.

The graphical leap that the next gen consoles are capable of is actually really big if they can get somewhere near a 5070(with multi frame gen enabled), which is possible when we'll be at the 6090 by then.

AI will make creating those photorealistic games easier, the Chinese will do that because they have no qualms about ethics. Then companies have to compete against those games. Low budget gacha games can no longer do well because the high quality games have the same price tag($0) as the low quality games. So people flock to the high quality ones instead.

Sony is doing incredibly well, the PS5 is selling good but they've hit a wall in console growth. GTA6 will boost sales really well so they're gonna be fine this gen despite their missteps.

Nintendo's switch is still selling, Nintendo is moving into the switch 2 but I'm afraid it would price out most of their consumers, the switch 2 will likely sell way less than the switch and it's questionable if their nickle and diming every aspect of the switch 2 would drive away their consumers.
