Yeah now add that happening during a combat sequence or worse a on rails sequence where youre focusing on more important stuff. Having the game plainly tell you how much time is left just like how it tells you how much ammo you have left is a better mechanic and if you really just want the old mechanic it still exists it Ranger mode.

It's no different than having to refresh your flashlight battery or reload your fucking gun. You change air filters throughout the entire fucking game. If you somehow forget you might actually be having memory issues and probably forget to breathe in real life too.

That's literally the point of the change to preemptively swap filters ahead of time before your starting to run out and then are in a situation where changing a filter would be annoying.

Back then it had the gimmicky clamps system that made artyom sometimes have to cock it in between the reload, or blocked him from loading all the six shells, and made him have to manually cock it in between shots because of the gap in the clamp. Now it just works normally no matter what
