That can be interesting since they made new episodes for the classic Quakes, so they have the homework written down, or very, VERY bad after what the Wolfenstein reboot devolved into.
Aslong they got rid of the bing bing wahoo jumping. Doom2/final doom had open levels and lots of demons thats all I want. When eternal teaser came out I thought eternal gonna be open level but it was kind more on the rails for my taste.

Nope. Those FTC leaks labeled the Oblivion and Fallout 3 remasters, "Doom Year Zero" (aka what became Dark Ages), "Project Kestrel" or "Project Hibiki" and DLC stuff. Generally speaking, maybe there's some Quake buried somewhere, but for the most part it's not in our direct path.
I use to hate it but it kinda grown on me. Strogg being a faction brouht up some eldritch blacksmith who thrives on creating and destruction is a bit strange direction, but I like it.
