This means that the number of characters created would greatly exceed 30 million as of today. People make new characters for different builds, challenges and etc. Many people probably created a new character for the DLC too. It's impossible for the game to have 30 mil. created characters in total. They are almost certainly talking about the 30 million sold copies or something.

Elden Ring is the greatest game ever made. It got rid of boss runs, dualistic Zoroastrian-tier brainlet light and dark dichotomy, impossible quest lines and other nonsense that plagued Dark Souls, but retained excellent art direction, world building, and combat. The only thing it's missing are covenants.

It is difficult playing the game with one hand though.
