ban steam charts threads
Money's tight right now, everything went up in price, people will only buy premium games in general.
Other way around. It's why there's been a bunch of indie megahits lately.
the game isn't even out yet
dickhead
Nah let zoomies have em, it’s all they’ve got considering how bad their games are
the guy in OP is a boomer.
over
Valve is one of the most profitable companies in the world, they do games more as a hobby than a business model at this point.
Kids buying the games streamers play, literally a zoomer stealing credit cards market
Deadlock requires a brain at a time when gamers are stupider than ever, note how the most popular multi-player games are Rivals or Fortnite, intended for toddlers or subhuman mental defects
leftism dies without censorship
Better than millennials buying AAA slop
Isn't it still in a invite-only alpha?
Valve is steam now.
if vavle can't do it, nobody can
card games?
Deadlock looks ugly, period. Nothing more.
I have to say that as someone else with a brain, this sentiment being so pervasive among the playerbase it has right now has convinced me that it will likely never be worth my time.
It seems to be just another MOBA, and playing the game would mean I would have to interact with people who play MOBAs on a regular basis.
yes
It is.
Are they still trying to defend Concord when Marvel whatsitcalled is thriving? While everyone finds Marvel lame as shit no less. Make good characters, literally that simple.
Did you really think normies would enjoy a game that involves hours of studying builds?
tfw to smart for high playerocunts
Deadlock is a hero shooter.
the problem at valve is that you can be bad at your job and you wont ever get fired. theres clearly no one demanding them to make a proffitable product or it wouldnt be in alpha for 8 fucking years
Valve just needs to go back to acquisition of already existing successful games, and then releasing a sequel with a valve sovl injection.
All their modern trend chasing homegrown shit has flopped.
yes but everyone and their dog got an invite
you can send an invite to your entire friends list and they can install the game immediately
I like these threads they deliver a clear & concise consensus.
Did the game flop or succeed? just check the chart.
Only flip-flopping homo negros want this information to be banned and censored, else their launches might look bad when compared to passionate game studios
everything in the game is bad and annoying. the entire game revolves around who can be the biggest hitler to each other. the only good things in the game are byproducts of the source engine aka movement
valve doesn't make games, they make online casinos to get children addicted to lootboxes
valve sovl
aka lootboxes and casinos
the last time i played the piece of shit i was being punished because my teamates were stomping their lane early on (first 10 minutes of every match were completely irrelevant in dual lanes). why did this matter? the guy who was in my lane was getting non stop passive comeback gold bumps because the game considered his team behind. you could look at the replay and hes just getting compound interest to rape me in the ass from doing nothing
only a retard would design something so horrible
deadlock is a bad game, but it's true that multiplayer games have been completely ruined by tryhards, metaslaves and minmaxers
the last 3 or 4 valve games have flopped
Deadlock devs thought it would be a good idea to make a Battleborn ripoff. No one with a brain would get involved with this trash.
Why have devs/investors not figured out yet that mp games no longer have longevitiy?
I don’t mean it as a meme or a joke or a quip.
We’re past the days of halo 3 and cod 4’s or whatever where a game lasts for years.
The lifespan of any mp game in the current day can be measured in months, generously. Look at rivals, its the fomo now, but its already slipping. Ultron will be a wet fart release compared to emma because no coomer appeal, and people are already tired of the shoddy balancing and blatant rigging. They’ll jump ship to the newest streamerslop first oppertunity.
Its unrionically a poor business choice to invest into a success. You are strictly better off moving onto the next project and bankrolling streamers when it hits early access.
I know I'm the retard for responding genuinely to a twitter bait OP, but did you even read the tweet you're shamelessly using for engagement? He's not saying it's over for valve, he's saying it's over for the Hero Shooter genre, which as much as I wish was true, is a pretty retarded take considering Marvel Rivals is a thing.
deadlock is ugly!
deadlock is too hard!
Deadlock is an ASSFAGGOTS.
All problems stem from that.
It's a shit genre for turbo spergs
Steam alone makes Valve a fuckzillion dollars a year. You think they care about a few hundred million spent on some experimenting?
unironic "to be fair you have to have a very high IQ to understand Deadonarrivallock"
holy shit lmao the game isn't even technically out yet and we're already reaching maximum overcope
It's just like annoying ass moba
You beating guy
He run away!
At least in TF2 most people stay & fight. People running away to heal at their respawn is the most pussy ass shit
That’s what they get for lying to their fans.
Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
Most of the millenials I know are just playing old games now. Even if video games are normal we're still not normal compared to most of the people playing games. Normal Zoomers and Millenials are playing the latest AAA slop
Deadlock hasnt charged anyone a single cent yet. Its wild how Anon Babble will keep telling everybody a completely f2p game has failed miserably.
dude what if we remade dota but with less depth
worst of both worlds, not as accessible as gigantic or OW and not as deep as DOTA
why would I want to play this?
Check out their Anon Babble thread if you want a good laugh.
I want more tf2 not more dota
as if valve wont make it the homepage attraction for the launch and beyond
I actually don't think Deadlock itself is too bad, the gameplay is decent and I had a little bit of fun. The main issue is that playing it requires you to interact with MOBA players who are some of the most insufferable fucking cunts on the planet.
Valve cannot make games ever since they touched the dota cancer. It was like selling your soul to the devil. Everything they've made after that has been dead on arrival.
Deadlock actually manages to be the best movement shooter in years. The only thing wrong with it is that hundreds of thousands of people never should have been allowed into an alpha to begin with
I think it's safe to say that they've failed in their mission to make "a MOBA for people who go outside."
ugly characters
hero shooter #859049
sweet baby
This shit is literally Concord 2.
Anon Babbleirgins and PCtards only suck Deadflop off because their precious god Gaben made it, if any other company developed this game it would get torn to shreds.
Pretty much this people won't admit it the game is way too cerebral for the masses of people out there but sad thing is it's valve and icefrog at its best
remember when they killed their autochess clone for only doing like triple these numbers
It was literally the best autochess out there and they abandoned it.
VALVE SCREWED OVER THE DOTA UNDERLORDS COMMUNITY
Deadlock is gay and lame but valve have a free money glitch that lets them completely ignore the financial viability of every sibgle project they work on.
I actually had more fun with Underlords and Artifact Foundery than with Deadlock
The game is:
ugly
boring
a fucking moba
What else did they expect?
You sound like a retarded person.
They killed it because it's fucking autochess. Valve were like, "wait, why are we making this slop" and stopped.
They would have been more than happy to pay the original devs to make it, but they got poached by Epic.
Competitive team games are going out of style
No one wants to babysit 5 other placers while doing a soul crushing mmr grind anymore
The third worlders that do are already playing LoL or CS2
It's a handful of mindbroken schizoids desperately looking for their next fix
Valve is out of touch. They need fresh blood.
They hired Hopoo, and that's great, but what a waste to put him to work as a programmer on Deadlock.
That's stupid. Give him a team and let him make something new he has enough experience at this point.
"Too cerebral" was the exact same cope for Artifact Classic. It was true.
why are we making this slop
proceeds to make a dotashooter that still requires creepfarming
wow that's not really nice what if i was a retarded person
artifact was ahead of its time i wonder when valve will figure out that a lot of people dont have their autism
All artifact needed was a single free nontradeable deck so
A) it attracted f2p players and
B) it kept retards safe from softlocking
C) it kept brazilians from making alts and selling the base deck
But Valve swore up and down that wouldnt make sense, so the minimum buy in for a hearthclone is 20$ and now its fucking dead
deadlock fans literally talking shit about their brother games
in the end the game went fucking nowhere and the consistent updates stopped.
You reap what you sow fags, in the end CS2 and TF2 still stand at their apex
Or maybe weighing down a shooter with awful MOBA mechanics just makes a shitty game no one wants to play regardless of who makes it.
It can't do what? The game is literally not released. Like you LITERALLY can not download and play it unless you had an invite.
The game has more players than actually released games. What the fuck kind of point is he trying to make? That valve can have a more successful game than AAA releases even when its private and not accessible to the wider public?
Artifact failed hard because it was greedy. It tried to double dip on all transactions while keeping all the money trapped in their own system. And their cards were expensive as fuck to boot.
So you were paying a premium for digital goods (some more expensive than real MTG cardboard cards), and on every transaction steam would take a cut.
This is what really killed artifact. People don't mind playing a difficult game without understanding it, people do mind it when the only way of progressing is by paying more and more and more money, when the game was trying to compete with better, more expansive f2p card games.
I still say it was the buy in. 20 bucks for a digital card game, when there are no fewer than 5 major players doing the same FOR FREE, is STEEEEEEP
Oh for sure, the buy in did not help. And correct me if I am wrong, but I don't remember any way of earning free packs. So the only way to progress and significantly change up your deck was either trade with other people (valve takes a cut meaning you keep losing money), or buying more packs (you keep losing money).
kill your game before it's even released
This is genius. Revolutionary even.
Everyone hates mobas btw.
multiplayer pvp games have always been for utter troglodytes, they're never fun.
This asking people for 20 dollars for a card game is abysmal especially since none of the cards are physical.
Should've been a free to play game with a standard deck and then 5 dollar cardpacks. ez money.
I'm shocked at how brain dead Rivals is. It's not even fun to play because there's nothing challenging to it. I literally only play it because it has marvel skins. If it was anything else people would not give a single shit about it.
Anon Babble calls it cope but its unironically true, then again Anon Babble is composed of 90% brown third worlders that actually play rivals so that shouldnt be surprising to anyone with triple digit iq
Mainly because MP communities are no longer formed organically rather they have to be propped up by streamers and FOMO marketing. MP games are also losing appeal because millennials who spend time working and are the biggest block in the gamer demographic with purchasing power don't want to come home and deal with try hard squeakers in a lobby. I personally have shifted to CRPGs and gone back to Fallout New Vegas.
graphics have never made a bad game good
they have also never made a good game bad
they are only capable of making bad games worse or good games better
tfw been playing the same game for 20 years
Is it autism?
all they have to do is remove the crazy insane liberal policing in multiplayer games.
unmoderated servers need to exist.
It's almost like if everyone makes basically the same game people will quickly start losing interest in the 50th copy of it
