LittleBigPlanet and Sackboy are being shelved

or, maybe the company reclaimed the rights to the IP

The series that had it's latest main entry over a decade ago, and latest spinoff 5 years ago is shelved? Are you sure?

Why is Sony so retarded

Heh. Sackboy.

Oh no, what a loss!

part of me regrets not trying out much if any of the online LBP1 content back when I got a PS3 in 2010 also had a friend at the time who had the game but never wanted to co-op with me to play the story maybe that was it
blah

How the fuck is Astro Bot a replacement? The games are not the same at all aside from being cutesy mascots and platformers

LBP1 and LBP2 were really incredible, but yeah LBP hasn't really been relevant since PS3.

There's an archive with all 10 million levels on archive.org

remember all those beloved iconic franchises and characters?
they're all gone, but hey, have the 11th release of the last of us, and all our budget is going to the next woke propaganda movie from the same devs

Are you on the private servers?

At this point, I expect lbp to show up on switch 2 before ps5 or ps6

So not only the PS5 has no games, but now it has negative games. That has to be an accomplishment.

There are too many dead Sony IPs to count, this is yet another one added to the pile
I will miss the days of peak LBP2 though

Can't believe they actually choose the funkopop-looking ass over him.

How many times have they riped mario with their second rate "mascot"s?

Sackboy gets sacked! Layoffs even hitting console mascots. Damn you, Astroooo Botttt!!!

no lbp

no infamous

no gravity rush

no killzone

no rachet & clank

no jp games

no creativity

WHERE ARE THE FUCKING GAMES SONY?
Now I'm not going to pretend LBP was the best platformer series, it wasn't going to dethrone Mario or anything; But the games I played were fun, especially with local co-op, they had a neat aesthetic. This is a shame.

Sex with dead vidya IPs

I don't know anyone who bought the Sackboy game, and Astro Bot was both popular and is a more recognizable Sony mascot.

astrobot was popular

since when?

The game sold well?

playroom was a pack-in and it took almost a year to reach 2m sales, after they started bundling it

Enjoy your Last of Us Part 1: Re-Re-Remaster lmao
They should legalize incest

it took almost a year to reach 2m sales

astro bot almost a year*

Windhelm that did

little soi planet was somehow gayer and worse version of mario for sony niggers.

Surely this is because they're selling off the IP... right?

The company with no IPs and No Games. Thats Sony alright.

you vill enjoy ze movie games

I guess you could say he got SACKED

What is media molecule even up to these days?

I'm sexy and I know it

How is he anything like Mario?

With those IPs, who the fuck cares? Sony used to he legendary when their exclusives were games like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, DMC, Kingdom Hearts, etc, now all those games are on every other platform. Literally no one cares about Killzone or Infamous, not even the most diehard Sony fanboys.

I can't believe Sackboy is fucking dead.
I loved that little fella.

Proof of the end times. I'm just glad I got to grow up in the best era of gaming. I could've been born gen alpha

Astrobot wannabe sunshine x galaxy

Sony doesn’t have faith in a game that isn’t $300 Million wannabe movie

Stop the presses

not """mature""" enough for the capeshit cinematic game normalfag audience

I have my issues with Nintendo and I have bigger issues with Microsoft but at least they don't kill off their IPs. They may send the to the hell vault for an unknown time period but they always eventually go into that vault and bring those franchises back in a new way or with a sequel. Sony just takes them out back.

LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2 were the only good games in the franchise. And with the servers off, even those are now worthless

kinda fucked up the last game was killed with DoS attacks

Sony is so obessed with all their games being realistic behind the shoulder movie games that the idea of having more then one or two franchises that are not that causes them to sperg out i guess.

There’s so many IPs that Sony let blow away in the wind and decay while they keep shoving TLOU and Horizon down everyone’s throat. It never gets better

Astro Bot should prove to Sony that there is an appetite for other types of games.

Maybe I'm crazy but didn't Sony complain about how Nintendo had an unfair advantage cause of all their IPs?

Never understood the appeal of LBP. Game felt like some indie tech demo and didn't have anything good going for it. No tight mechanics, no enemies, no story, nothing. Just level editor and that's it.
Yet people praised it so much you'd think it's Sony's Mario or something.

You could argue that 1 hasn't aged well, but 2 was Sony's Roblox with a charming story mode on top.
