ruins your life
Ruins your life
carnivore diet
unc level disease ngl if u get this u shouldnt even be playing video games instead prepping for ur death
Remember when games used to tell you to stop gaming and take regular breaks? You should have listened.
This, gout beats arthritis any day
Start taking turmeric supplements. They are anti inflammatory without having to take ibuprofen.
Faggots.
True.
Damn! This guy won't be doing manual labor anymore.
My wife has this throughout her whole body...
She used to run and be active/fit, but has stopped since her condition has gotten worse.
She is 27.
She is getting pretty chubby now, which I am a little sad about.
She is 27.
Grim.
You get gout from carbs though
I have something hard in the joint of my hand in the base of my finger.
Is this what it is, or is it a cyst? Had it for a couple days now.
i'm 24. shit sucks. sorry about your wife.
i work in tech which is even worse somehow.
didn't help.
Woman disease.
40 years of vidya unironically gave me tennis elbow in both arms
shits annoying but manageable, i've got some arm braces and if im using a controller i have to take a break after a couple of hours
How? All you have to do is stay at healthy weight, not eat trash and hold game controllers/use keyboards in the most comfortable ways you can.
Don't grip the controller, simply let it rest in your hands, put the keyboard at a height where it does not twist your wrist.
It's not that hard.
Just take anti inflamatory meds like celexoxib? Did you get ANY treatment at all?
She is 27.
Do I even need to ask?
Also Omega 3.
Does cooking with turmeric count?
retard
Stop using wireless peripherals, they cause oxidative stress and RSI
If it's autoimmune diseases then it can just pop out of nowhere unfortunately
i'm seronegative and being gaslit by multiple rheumatologists currently
i have never been higher than 20 BMI, i dont eat processed foods, i dont drink soda, i dont eat desserts.
Vaxx status?
Ask what? If it's a dude?
Been using a trackball since the mid 2000s and things are going ok so far. Unfortunately when I have to replace it I'm not sure what to do because all the new models look insane and not ergonomic.
if your arthritus blood test was negative then you probably don't have it.
ITT: people confusing autoimmune disorders with carpal tunnel
self-diagnosed RA
it can just pop out of nowhere unfortunately
There also certain environmental factors that can trigger them too.
Not many people know this but you can develop autoimmune disorders from the common flu shot and other vaccines.
It's very rare but it happens.
My friend got Gullian Barre syndrome and nearly died after getting the flu shot, had to learn how to walk again.
Make her go to a physical therapist :) <3
wife takes cymzia but shit costs like 7k a dosage and only works for like a month at a time. (T. American)
It seems like it is hard to get treatment for a lot of people because doctors will often brush off pain that is hard to detect
Yup she got vaxxed and caught covid too. Twice when it was the big thing. I also blame both of those things for her condition. Her uncle also has a milder version of it. I hear that covide/the vaccine can awaken the disease in people with certain genes.
vaxed?
A negative rheumatoid factor (RF) test result in the context of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) diagnosis means that the test did not detect high levels of RF, a protein associated with the disease. While a negative RF result is a positive sign, it doesn't definitively rule out RA, as many people with RA have low or no RF, and the test is not always accurate.
No single blood test can reliably diagnose RA. Some healthy people test positive for anti-CCPs, while others who have RA have negative test results.
If it's autoimmune diseases then it can just pop out of nowhere unfortunately
So you just have shitty, weak genes then? Too much inbreeding in your family line?
I still dont understand how these fuckers still havent found a permanent cure for these ailments in 2025.
so you think i should just take the 2 rheumatologists that told me i have "fibromyalgia" as a 24 yr old male at face value and not keep pushing for answers?
post face.
What the hell are you talking about, you're not American lmao stop making shit up.
Shit genetics, don't have children if you don't want them to suffer
It seems like it is hard to get treatment for a lot of people because doctors will often brush off pain that is hard to detect
Rheumatoid arthritis has physical signs and visible symptoms, it isn't like fibro with no clear pathology
fibromyalgia
thats them saying they dont know in fancy terms
You know theres multiple medications for it right
I am not. She doesn't pay 7k but her work insurance does. If we both did not work and have a good job, it would be difficult to get this medicine where I live.
Don't plan on it.
the doctors are notably shitty where I live
heh my mom has severe RA and doctors still don't prescribe her pain meds. US medical system is terrible
literally stop eating so much sugar/processed crap, and deworm annualy. if you're waiting for a wonder-pill where you don't have to do anything then you'll be waiting until the day you die and then some; the industry works off of treating the symptoms indefinitely instead of fixing the core of the issue
How to deworm without getting called a skitzo?
They exist, you're just not rich enough to buy them.
Same thing with hair loss. If you have the money, it's essentially optional.
anon takes so much dick that he thinks "deworming" is going to fix an autoimmune disease
I came back from carpal tunnel easy as with a lot of rest and finding routines/exercises that actually worked for me and looking into proper ergonomics. Now I'm playing shit tons everyday again for the past year, and only need to exercise the hand after a few days or so if I've used the mouse too much
but finasteride and minoxidil are cheap as fuck
b-but le broken dick!!
retard
Why get rid of something that prints billions per year?
There is no motivation to cure diseases anymore, just long term treatments.
how do i avoid broken dick with finasteride/minoxidil (don't remember which one caused it)
why are you lying
Those delay, but in the end you're going to need surgery, like Musk/Brad Pitt/Clooney/etc.
I just ignore the pain in my hands. My body doesn't get to tell me what to do.
I have RA and Lupus ;_; i cant use controllers and have to use an expensive as fuck gamepad
my keyboard is unironically 25g clears to type with
at least I get good painkillers to enjoy my games and short life with
thhhhis
Lol you can always spot a heavy pc user by their deformed mouse hand and ugly keyboard fingers. Long term use changes the shape of your hands in a bad way.
My aunt had this, it properly fucked her hands up, and all along her arms and shoulders.
Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
My thumb joints keep clicking, and feel bad until they are clicked
My fingers too
And my hands go asleep and numb after around 2 hours
I never thought to talk about it
garbage
try not being fat next time
From all the supposed painkillers, only alcohol and fent seem to work on my whole body psa 24/7 pain, wew
2/3 of them have a "cure" in that they are conditions that occur in response to how you live your life
the other yeah has no cure and is just a "your fucked" condition that randomly occurs
carpal tunnel is in 100% seriousness a skill issue, its from the tendon in your wrist rubbing against the edge of the bounds of the bone, it goes through a bone tube to keep it in place and if you rub one side/one spot constantly you end up with it inflamed and too big to fit through without it being squeezed and very painful, with the more you try to use it the worse it is
its a skill issue since you can use your hands for repetitive motions by just having your wrist be fucking straight and not causing it to rub at all and thus never develop the problem, not to mention that rest also makes it recover and its basically using your hands wrong for hours a day for years.
osteoarthritis is caused by too much stress on joints so the tissue wears down, often by being fat and letting your joints take the brunt of the pressure without using your muscles, also happens in a lot of people who are not fat but work out a lot but are doing it wrong and putting pressure on their joints instead of using their muscles. Sometimes the body tries to grow bone where u fuck this up and ur giga fucked, thats called bone spurs, and its the same cause as the above
can also randomly get you if you injure this for other unrelated reasons, like if you are involved in some sort of accident and it directly damages it, but thats a bit of a different story. often times you can heal from it but you gotta be super careful and its very understandable why it ends up happening to people who got in accidents, joint feels fine, no pain, can do everything normally, but the joint tissue hasn't fully healed and you wearing on it doesn't let it fully heal or properly and fucks u later. some accidents ur just fucked tho
rheumatoid is just rng and ur fucked
reading some of these posts actually gives me hot flashes.
Be fat
Take GLP-1
Go from 340 to 215 in 1-year.
Get gout from losing weight too fast.
Go from being unable to walk due to fat from being unable to walk due to gout.
i only have the gamer index finger so far (it's bent a bit)
is there a way to reverse this?
pov: you clawgripped for 500 hours of MHFU
Ankylosing spondylitis is worse
i have an ibs
steam deck is a neat way to spend time on the toilet
just bend it back
Thankful the only medical problem of any kind I have is notalgia paresthetica from being a retard and insisting on deadlifting in my youth. Never fucked my spine up too bad thankfully but I now have an eternal, gnawing itch that nests in my left shoulder blade. Sometimes it’s easy to ignore it but sometimes I make my wife scratch the fuck out of it for a minute straight and it literally feels orgasmic.
Autoimmune diseases like arthritis are treatable, but you are looking at >5k$/month of medicine that you take until your death
Usually people get them either through partnership program with manufacturer at a discount, or for free if invalid
At that age it is likely some sort of auto immune response. No 27 year old, no matter how bad their genetics should suffer that.
Problem with auto immune disorders is it could be something as simple as grain, but shows no normal symptoms. Another common one is pesticide allergy but that's extremely hard to pin down, you have no idea what was used, it changes all the time and cutting it out wont give immediate effects.
Tl;dr something is wrong and you need to figure it out before she has life long disability.
the cute autistic girl i work with developed this at 21 and now all she does is tell me about how the second order effects are ruining her life, how her heart is getting scarred over, how she's starting to lose vision because of something happening to her optic nerves, whatever. she moves around like an old woman because her joints are getting eaten up.
i feel bad for her but there's nothing i can do
She is getting pretty chubby now
that shit got banned in most of Europe because of its dangerous side effects...
Lupus?
you have better alternatives?
My mom was diagnosed with RA in her late 20s and it completely ruined her life, she lives a shell of her former self. She's in her late 50s now and watching the degradation as a small child to an adult has been very rough. Its not a disease you can simply "eat right and exercise" to fix. The body is literally attacking itself non-stop and wrecking havoc on the muscular-skeletal system.
Not to mention any small infection a healthy person would have no problem fighting can kill someone within days with RA.
My heart goes out to you anon.
have to use an expensive as fuck gamepad
what gamepad?
when was she diagnosed? my mother is on oxy+dilaudid for her RA. however there have been several times over the years as new administrations have come in that have tried to claim she doesnt require such serious pain management. luckily she was able to prove she does and that she has never abused her meds. the amount of blood curdling screams i have heard from her due to pain over the years is all the proof i need.
TNF (costs like a plane's wing)
MTX (makes you feel hangover and unfit for work)
Cyclosporine (not really effective and hello gout at higher doses)
i have thin fiber neuropathy that can affect anything randomly, this year my elbows started with severe pain and you have no idea just how much you need working elbows for gaming
that sounds like she had somethign way worse than RA. It's bad but you can literally treat it even with the most basic NSAIDS.
That's def something more serious than RA
I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome and am supposed to end up with crippling, unavoidable arthiritis by the time I'm 40.
Future is bright bros.
not with any first world treatment you wont
nope, believe it or not RA does get that bad. She of course did not start straight on opiates after being diagnosed. but within three years she was too disabled to work and has been on disability ever since. it fucking sucks seeing her like this but its been 30 years since her diagnosis and it is very clearly RA, albeit a very strong and treatment resistant form of it.
ehlers danlos is a bit of rng fest, i know a family with it and the grandaughter has it so much worse than her mother and grandmother
however the grandmother has been wheelchair bound since 50yo
Damn I can't believe she took the covid vaxx 30 years ago...
It does not progress that freaking quickly yeah. Probably something else.
Its called by EMF radiation
Could be an osteophyte, that's what I've been getting
i'm not trying to argue over her diagnosis, she has all the signs of it and her blood work and all the xrays, ct scans and mri's shes had clearly show RA. especially her white blood and t cell counts. she's lucky to live in a part of the country that has some of the top rheumatologists, i would find it highly unlikely that multiple doctors would be that wrong over a 30 year period
My girlfriend has bad RA and fibromyalgia, started flaring like 2 months into our relationship and she hasn't had any relief since. It's been bad enough she's been using a cane recently.
I don't know how it'll go but I've resolved myself in taking care of her and loving her unconditionally because she has had a tough life and is a sweet and pure girl (best pussy too) and I personally think nobody should go through this type of pain alone. Feel for any of y'all going thru this bullshit
My mom has arthristis and a million other health problems and both me and my two siblings are in fantastic health, and I'm the youngest at 32
My mother has RA and what you're describing is far more dramatic than what she's been going through for over 15 years. Yeah it's rough and she's in quite a lot of pain sometime, but no, random infections don't almost kill her.
I don't know how it'll go but I've resolved myself in taking care of her and loving her unconditionally because she has had a tough life and is a sweet and pure girl (best pussy too) and I personally think nobody should go through this type of pain alone.
Very based.
the american solution to anything is to just pump yourself full of meds
Amerilard health problems don't apply to me.
Was playing a bit of guitar recently and I noticed my fingers were cramping up and it was getting harder and harder to curl them each subsequent time almost like the tendons were getting tighter or something, super weird. Kinda feel it more at night but sometimes my hand feels awkward almost like weak it's hard to describe.
based and thinpilled
Quick note, she'd never have done the same for you.
She used to run and be active/fit
kek no wonder she's having problems, she spent her youth destroying her body because retards told her it was good for her lmao
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I think about killing myself every time I try to go to sleep
Yeah, their opinion on my diagnosis might be different now than it was two decades ago.
The worst part is mostly that all my digits except my right thumb is double jointed. Constantly catch myself bending shit backwards while at a keyboard or trying to cut a steak and shit. No way that parts going to end well.
