Redguards are legit useless in Skyrim, starting with +10 one-handed is pretty much nothing, and their resist poison and their stamina regen power are worthless because poison is already a nothingburger in skyrim and stamina already regenerates fast enough. Orcs at least have their berserker rage power which is excellent in dragon fights and boss fights.

If there's one thing I wish skyrim did it would be to pay attention to demographics more. I think the general city and village pop is like 40% nord or something overall? But it should be 70 or more. The guilds and side content are what really sets it apart. Fighter's Guild is better than Companions, Mage's Guild is so much better than the College of Draugr Expeditions it's not even funny, Dark Brotherhood is better, Thieves Guild in Skyrim is probably the best of the guilds actually but I like the literal elder scrolls heist of oblivion more personally. The Nords have multiple conflicting creation myths, one is that they were breathed into existence by Kyne stop the throat of the world (which is consistent with Nords being ancient Nedes who originated on Tamriel and later emigrated to Atmora and then returned) and then there's also the story about them originating on ancient Atmora and encountering the natives and getting into wars. Neither have anything to do with the Akaviri. If anything the Akaviri possibly originated from Tamriel since there's some creation myths of all life on Nirn originating there, with even ancient ehlnofey having their first appearance on Tamriel as origins of the elves.

first time I played elder scrolls I picked orc, this was coming after I played warcraft so it was pretty logical, now when I pick i see it as 3 humans, 3 elves, one half elf, 2 animals, and orcs (which are too different to be listed as elf). The fact that theyre the only one of their type alone makes them interesting, personally i never pick Khajit

redguards are cool for the marauder archetype but if you're playing skyrim and you want to larp as a viking you can be nord or maybe imperial

It's the same lore reason other armor is different in style across different games. Difference in location. Skyrim dwemer and steel and so on is different from Dunmer and Breton versions. The Daedra probably present themselves in different ways to different cultures. I also have a theory that the reason their armor is so much more jagged in Oblivion is because that's armor they specifically prepared for an invasion
