I am not the biggest fan of Halo 2 but I do recognize it got the better mp maps of all the series. Halo 3 has like 6 good MP maps in total in contrast to Halo 2 where only a few feel cheap like warlock.

Project Insignia gets regularly scheduled games, Project Cartographer and MCC are playable at all hours of the day. They only way they don't have enough players is you beginning them to be popular again, not a question of whether you can get a match.

There is no way you're above the age of 16.
It hit the sweet spot where only a few fads where massively mainstream but nothing was incredibly niche that you could not be part of any community by just lurking and only a few overlapped so there was an ample variety of hobbies with sizeable communities and yet mainstream hobbies still remained enjoyable.
You had the internet but all the cool shit happened outside, I mean Anon Babble used to have meet ups every year.
The internet was not the central for just about everything and it was enjoyable to have physical media backed up by the internet and sharing information was awesome. Additionally you still had plenty of IRL events to make friends or enjoy any one hobby. Physical media was still alive and kicking and gaming magazines still had good content like interviews with creators and devs, behind scenes on how your favorite videogame was made and explanation about the hardware used on consoles and so on written by people who genuinely cared.
There was a heavier focus on creativity and blood sucking executives had not come to ruin your favorite hobby just yet so there was a sense of anticipation to what would come next given technology had been rapidly evolving. Banjo, MGS2 and Half Life 2 were separated by two years.
Gaming wise, there was not a wrong option, you could stick to one console or handheld and have a blast.
For Anon Babble it was their golden age. You had an archive of comics going back decades on the internet to complement what you could get at your LCS. Some events like Sinestro War fucked hard while some others like OMD and Identity Crisis sucked so bad they at least made for entertaining discussions. Comics were also cheap and I miss Mad so much.
For Anon Babble, it was the peak of weeb culture so opinions on that are a mixed.
Some people miss the cringe (Garugamesh!!) some people are glad it is over but somewhere along the line anime just lost its luster.
Then the iPhone and Facebook happened and the world began to suck.
I've been enjoying H2 lately. Kinda like the feel of CE multiplayer the best, but H2 has great maps.

Halo infinite at its core feels so good. They just prioritized money making shit with armor cores and ignoring what people wanted, until all hype and interest died.
At this point to regain interest they would have to add some sort of new gimmick. Maybe something like a mix of invasion with battle Royale. Where you drop on your half of the map and have objectives to open up landing zones.

You sometimes open steam without playing a single game all day and you have downloaded a minimum of 10 games from various sources that you only opened twice at most before going back to lurking Anon Babble or mansturbating.

You will return to school, either taking classes at night or online, you will take up several courses that will pay off later.
You will meet a woman that will seem fine and as long as you are not a complete asshole and you are willing to commit to a relationship with the intent to settle down, she will bite the bullet and adopt a loser like you and this is where things get interesting.
If you do get married, every single contact she has will come out to help you and if you demonstrate that you have some marginal skills you will be offered a better position out of pity, don't fool yourself, your wife is going to hard carry as will everyone else. Your in-laws will have to cope with the thought that you are better than nothing and by the time you have your first born child you will experience some joy seeing them go through all the things you used to love... and that will be enough for you to be content with your life.
