Rank the big three

Skyrim > Oblivion > Morrowind

Skryim > Oblivion > Morrowind

shit shit shit

Don't call yourself an Elder Scrolls gamer if you haven't played Arena and Daggerfall

I'll wait for the remake.

mw >>> skyrim > oblivion

Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim

oblivion > morrowind > skyrim

This is the only correct answer

Skyrim has nothing going for it. Oblivion isn't great either but at least it has good quests.

Morrowind was the only genuinely good game without mods, the rest require mods to be fun

Skyrim 5/10
Morrowind 4/10
Oblivion 7/10

They get outclassed in every single aspect by so many different games. Souls, witcher, divinity/bg3, drsgon age, dragons dogma, I could go on.
They had terrible moment to moment gameplay which diehard fans try to defend with “but its about the immersive rpg stuff!” when these games are also incredibly shallow rpgs.
Their success actually makes me mad

Skyrim is the most fun, easily.
Has the most satisfying game design of all 3. It's cave spelunking and dungeon crawling is unmatched amongst the 3. Also has the most epic story so its more engaging.

Oblivion is a very neat game, has a taste of Skyrim's autism dopamine cycle but maintains the good writing and atmosphere of Morrowind.

Morrowind is just a fuckin mess. I'm sure you can git gud at it and learn it like an intricate machine, but its just not very fun so its not worth it.

At the end of the day, savor Oblivion for 50 or 60 hours, dump 100s of hours into Skyrim. Play Morrowind for like 5 hours and call it a day. That's just how it is.

kys

Skyrim has nothing going for it

literally the best winter environment of any game ever made for starters

A winter environment isn't fun gameplay. Frostfall makes it fun but as I said mods required

you just lack perspective and appreciation for their unique beauty. you can say certain aspects of them were done better by other games but no games were really trying to do what they were doing. 19 years later, oblivion is mogging modern rpgs mechanically.

Skyrim 's only good one tbհ. Boomers and trasexual contrerians with foggy nostalga goggles wont admit it, but Morrowind and vanilla Oblivion are junky dogshit, cringe animation, poory writed stories, subltle racism, horrible models, awful combat, messy UI, etc

Depends on how I'm feeling but in general it's mostly Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim

this

morrowind > skyrim > arena > oblivion > daggerfall > oblivion with guns > skyrim with guns > that

all the things you listed were more true about skyrim than morrowind or oblivion

I played morrowind on the original xbox when I was a kid and had no idea what the fuck I was doing. struggled on the mudcrabs. I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy it now.

too obvious, even in 2025 when everyone is retarded and gay

Morrowind for Lore, aesthetic, setting, atmosphere, writing, voice acting, player expression, and RPG elements.

Oblivion for wacky NPCs and quests.

Skyrim for... the music and graphics I guess?

Skyrim Anniversary edition > Skyrim Special edition > Skyrim

not even close. Skyrim's setting is boring as fuck, and I generally like winter environment. I never understood the praise it got.

Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim

Morrowind

Tons replayability, due to no handholding. Good enough as vanilla, and superb with MWSE mods. If you're not on openMW, check out the PvP mod on Nexus. That adds parries/sword clashes, which imho changes up the combat enough to be engaging as hell. Highly recommended.

Oblivion

Really entertaining gamebryo jank, with lots of charm. Still had some bits of the framework from the previous game. Lame without mods/fixes due to level scaling. Mods do some justice with that though, and much more.

Skyrim

Has the most refined vanilla combat. Magic is OP with akimbo casting. Unfortunately because of its simplistic and samey design/approach to lots of shit, this game is a one-and-done sort of game, more so that the previous two games. Genuinely the least replayable, but it's alright.

morrowind

voice acting

I mean, if you like hearing "what do you want, outlander?" or "we're watching you, scum" a million times, sure

That's pretty much how it is honestly.

we'll just have to agree that you're wrong

morrowind, then whichever is more heavily modded between skyrim/oblivion

this

Modded Skyrim
Oblivishit and morrowshit belong in the toilet.

Morrowind>Skyrim
I didn't play enough of Oblvion to give it a fair rating.
I like Morrowind and Skyrim pretty closely, Morrowind is the better of the two roleplaywise but Skyrim has a soft spot in my heart for introducing to me to Fantasy as a lad.

Morrowind's voice acting is quality > quantity. Hearing all those iconic voice lines over and over is music to my ears.

Argonian: THE PREY APPROACHES!

Dunmer: Greetings, outlander. Err... Don't I know you from somewhere?

And a million others. People act like there's not that many voice lines when in reality race has like 3 hours worth of lines.

SEEN ANY ELVES? HAHAHAHAHAHA

Skyrim > Morrowind > Oblivion

Morrowind >>> Skyrim > Oblivion

Morrowind

best atmosphere

Oblivion

best music

Skyrim

err... it's good

Oblivion > Morrowind > Skyrim

Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion

Morrowind has a cool world, story and lore
Skyrim has nice looking world but it isn't very interesting
Oblivion has nothing
Other than that none of them are very good. Most quests post-MW are just dungeon clearing and none of them have good gameplay.

Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim

don't call yourself an italian food

I'm risotto

I like Morrowind and Skyrim roughly the same. I've never been able to get into Oblivion for some reason, every time I try it just bores the shit out of me. It might be because it was very disappointing on release. I like playing thief characters and the guards in the day one version of Oblivion were so telepathic it was retarded.

Morrowind

I will happy never call myself that.

Oblivion is the only one that matters, and not because of the remake, it was always the case.
Morrowniggers and Skytrannies eternally seething.

shit/10
shit/10
shit/10

Oblivion > Skyrim > Morrowind

I want Morrowind remade into the Oblivion and Skyrim mold so i can play it. I've tried playing it and it so boring and tedious with all the reading walls of text and no proper voice acting and no compass with quest markers.

in terms of an RPG
Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim
in terms of an adventure game
Skyrim > Oblivion > Morrowind
more fun to play
Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion

all modded ofcourse, they're all unplayable otherwise

its exist and its called Morblivion white boi

I tried to play Morrowind but the UI was too fucking tiny

so scale it up

Every quest in skyrim is just clearing viking zombies in a catacomb how the fuck is it at the top of "adventure" ranking?

Morrowind

Got off the boat, talked to one shop guy, quit

Oblivion

Got into the dungeon or church, killed a couple rats or goblins or something, hated how slow combat was, quit

Skyrim

Played 40 hours, felt I had done everything, quit

its not about the quests, its about walking from one point to another.
add survival mods, and it becomes pretty fun to just wander.

Morrowind filters out low IQ individuals, so it's the best.

it's about the walking simulation

Wow bro I hold W down as my brain shuts down and drool runs down my chin, only to be shaken back into consciousness by repetitive bandit yells every 5 minutes or so

muh survival mods

Oh boy, now I gotta open up my menu and select the sandwich every 5 minutes too. Such riveting gameplay! Such wondrous adventure!

consider playing a video game sometime

Oblivion > Skyrim > Morrowind
Skyrim is better in some ways but its lack of variety is the weakness that makes it lose by a hair.
Morrowind may have been fantastic at launch but it aged horribly.

You don't play dogshit 0 content walking sims with 0 gameplay? Heh, you must not play video games then

you dont have to reiterate that you dont play video games. its very clear you dont understand whats happening.

Skyrim 3 is best, followed by Skyrim 4 and then Skyrim 5.

Skyrim > Morrowind > Oblivion

Fallout 3 is the best RPG Bethesda has ever made and it most closely follows Morrowind's design ethos in most aspects. It is the Morrowind 2 we wanted before Oblivion came out.

I think everyone is in agreement that the combat is is garbage, but is it possible to make a fun version without dumping the RPG portion entirely? Will they have to enforce stat requirements? I don't see how they can do it otherwise. I guess they could implement animations that show how fucking garbage the player is with certain weapon types but we all know Bethesda isn't going to bother.

Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion
Morrowind is just the best out of the box, others need so much help from mods.
It also has the most varied world, quests and sense of adventure. You can be very creative. The music is fantastic.

Skyrim is like lukewarm water. Viking motif with dragons is worn out very quickly and the winter aesthetic. There's nothing in it that makes it 'special', its like solitaire of boardgames. The world is not inviting or immersive - the AI is mostly comedic.

Oblivion would be over the Skyrim if its world would not be even more bland than Skyrim, it has some really funny interactions. I think its more fun game than Skyrim overall.

Morrowind = Skyrim = Oblivion
I'm not even being facetious with this, each of these games have aspects about them that I love, that the other two don't have, and I have greatly enjoyed playing all of them.

morrowind is the best because it has no quest markers.

Morrowind>Skyrim>shitblivion

Honestly this. There are cool ideas in there but they’re held back by such mediocre gameplay and game systems. Oblivion and Skyrim were totally outclassed by WoW. Morrowind was barely passable for its time.

skyrim: soundtrack 10/10, gameplay 5/10, world 3/10, enemy variety 4/10, graphics 6/10, main quest 3/10, general atmosphere 8/10
oblivion: soundtrack 6/10, gameplay 5/10, world 7/10, enemy variety 9/10. graphics 4(6)/10, main quest 6/10. general atmosphere 7/10
morrowind: soundtrack 7/10, gameplay 8/10, world 8/10. enemy variety 9/10, graphics 4(8)/10, main quest 9/10, general atmosphere 10/10

I literally don't play a single game vanilla. Even NES games the first thing I do is look for the definitive romhack of it. I don't even play Switch games without a plethora of mods. Vanilla is such a cucked way of gaming, customize everything.

The big three is made of Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion you fucking skytranny

add survival mods

Unironically this, they work well with bethesda games. Hunger/thirst gives all the consumable foods in their games some actual purpose. Tiredness gives homes/inns more purpose, and helps to curb the excessive use of timeskipping.

It's fucking great in Morrowind with the Ashfall mod. I catch fish (with the ultimate fishing mod) and cook them in stews or over campfire/stove.

Some of the most retarded opinions ever in this here thread gents.
