I'm building my first PC. To answer the question, $750 USD for an RTX 4070 Super.

I've been buying my components one by one whenever I have disposable money, and I'm only missing the RAM and the PSU. My original plan was to build a "budget" PC on AM4, but in the end I switched to AM5, sold the CPU I had originally bought and so far I've spent around $1500 USD in total, and since I'm also looking for a good 1440p monitor and some extra fans for my case, I'm already seeing myself spending a total of $2k once I'm done.

Not much, around $3000 on my current PC, which is the last build I made and that was when the 1080ti and 8700k were brand new. All I've upgraded since then is GPU and RAM

On a singe component? I bought a 7900xtx on launch so it would be that. Overall for a PC? Dunno as this a ship of theseus setup.

Maybe, I bought it in January and I'm still constantly seeing it at $1k here and there, so I'm happy with my purchase. If there's something I've learned through this whole ordeal is how incredibly volatile the PC market is, but with what I have so far I'm easily set for the next 5 years, and I have never been someone who cares about high end graphics.
