JJK won

For a single component?
Never more than 250€, tops.

In total for a full package?
1100€, for brand new tower build + legit Win7 Ultimate DVD. This was back in 2011, when I upgraded from WinXP era wormbox to modern era.

Was a lil' beast.
Intel i5-2500 + 8GB DDR3 + GTX 560ti + 1TB HDD + Burning BD + 750W "80+ Gold" PSU.
Served me great as-is up until ~2017, when I upgraded it for pennies with i7-2600K and GTX 1060 6GB. Both used parts. Slapped in a SATA3 SSD later on for the OS and some slower games.

Finally put the old warhorse to rest early last year, when I bought used set consisting of the R5 5600X + Asus Prime B550 mobo + 32GB DDR4 + RTX 3060 12GB, for mere 550€ total.
All that I crammed into the same PC case I got 14 years ago, powered by the very same PSU as well.

powered by the very same PSU as well.

shit's gonna fry your mobo and possibly your house

JJK is also shit. Faggots.

£650 for a 3080 is the most I've spent on a single component. 4070ti super comes close at £500, and then GTX 980 at £420.

It's a 750w gold and he's not even close to using 400w+. I have a 14 year old 850w gold that just still works.

He buys cheap chink-shit

I'm building my first PC. To answer the question, $750 USD for an RTX 4070 Super.

I've been buying my components one by one whenever I have disposable money, and I'm only missing the RAM and the PSU. My original plan was to build a "budget" PC on AM4, but in the end I switched to AM5, sold the CPU I had originally bought and so far I've spent around $1500 USD in total, and since I'm also looking for a good 1440p monitor and some extra fans for my case, I'm already seeing myself spending a total of $2k once I'm done.

Not much, around $3000 on my current PC, which is the last build I made and that was when the 1080ti and 8700k were brand new. All I've upgraded since then is GPU and RAM

On a singe component? I bought a 7900xtx on launch so it would be that. Overall for a PC? Dunno as this a ship of theseus setup.

Around 400 bucks on my current GPU.

Yoru's massive culo...

For me its Reze, but i like them all too, do look forward to seeing the movie in the cinema

645321.jpg - 1950x2882, 2.37M

At once? $1300 cash for a GPU

I wish Makima would edge me to the point of tears

Most I spent was 1.2k euros on my 4080, which is kinda funny cuz the rest of my build totalled at 640 euros...

$750 USD for an RTX 4070 Super.

Not worth it, thats literally what the 5070 ti costs

Maybe, I bought it in January and I'm still constantly seeing it at $1k here and there, so I'm happy with my purchase. If there's something I've learned through this whole ordeal is how incredibly volatile the PC market is, but with what I have so far I'm easily set for the next 5 years, and I have never been someone who cares about high end graphics.

spent around £10k in last two months on gaming / pc stuff

i wish I had standards that low, this hobby wouldn't be so expensive

You just don't have patience to hunt for deals, optimize your build AND your vidya.
I bet you consoom some YT e-celeb's shill videos that claim EVERYONE needing a fucking RTX 5090 and Intel i9 to run games ($80 Unreal 5 de-make slop) smoothly.

file.png - 257x192, 58.95K

Not even that, when companies keep developing unoptimized games that only hog resources such as MH Wilds or Indiana Jones, it becomes even harder to stay on budget.

i got a 5070 for msrp a few days ago, first card i've had in like a decade and my last was a 2060

comfy inn.jpg - 2560x1440, 2M

No i'm not that dumb
But I know a 3060 isn't able to run most recent AAA to 60fps
I bet you even think 60fps is smooth, I want 100+
You don't have standards, that's all

i bet your floor is tiled, paco

Makima a shit

1650,- for a 4090.

I'm not poor, so whatever.

Bro same, good job. Everyone said "wait for the 5000 series!" Fuck that. We won

But I know a 3060 isn't able to run most recent AAA to 60fps

1. It can.
2. I already did that on GTX 1060.
3. You didn't mention the target resolution nor settings. Or the game you're referring to for that matter.

Second, imagine giving a fucking about "AAA" games in 2005+20.

You don't have standards, that's all

On the contrary. My standards are so astronomically high for the average Pajeet and zoom zoom console peasant, that they keep calling me a contrarian or whatnot for not consooming their slop like Elden Ring or any Unreal trash.

I bet you even think 60fps is smooth, I want 100+

Sorry that you fell for the 144fps meme.
I've been rocking a 1200p 60hz monitor since 2009, and that's not changing any time soon.

That being said, I can easily lock most of my games to 72 or even 90fps if I want to.
Can't wait for the Death Stranding 2 to once again BTFO all these 3rd world country UE asset store flips and run like a charm on a decade old HW.

I bought 2nd hand mother board and GPU and it still works 4 years later

I jumped three generations from a 2080 that was $150. I don't care, I'll run this one for as long as possible. Not a fan of the "I'm not poor" argument but, alas, I am not.

£1000 for a 5080 (Im rich)

I've been rocking a 1200p 60hz monitor since 2009

so you have no standards, you didn't need to reply to me

My first gaming PC build, plus peripherals and shit. I just have a $500 gaming laptop from 2019 at the moment, and was wanting to upgrade this year, but now we have fucking tariffs.

$300 on a gpu

I forgot, that was actually 2 builds, like $250 of that was for a Facebook PC for my mom.

Do you look like this?

literally nothing else to spend it on

sys.jpg - 1135x485, 231.06K

I am a gayologist and can confirm that this is true.

and Intel i9

No youtuber has shilled for Intel CPUs in years, everyone recommends AMD.

Absolutely nothing wrong with it! You could say I collect such stuff even..

Figurines wear real mini-lingerie nowadays?

AoT too

$800 for an RTX 3070 in late 2020.

So glad that I impulsed an 4070 Super at this time last year.

It's 30% faster and has 6gb more vram, didn't cost much after selling the 3080.

16:10 at 2ms with near-180 degree FOV and almost perfect RGB stats > whatever Niggahertz screen you're using.

Nice collection bwo. I wish I saved more stuff before a lot of the sites started purging that kind of content Not all the stuff I saved is figurines, some of it is tablet screen / print-outs, mouse-pads or maybe even dakis

my current build i’m making costed $7.2k, most expensive part of course was the 5090 Astral at $3.3k before tax.

i mainly play roblox and watch anime

not going to lie everyone says pc gaming is expensive
and it is now for new parts
but you can build a fucking ps5 level pc for like
400 dollars
shit you can buy dell optiplex and throw in a 1080 and have a great pc lmao

That figure probably cost more than the card

The daki stuff is nice yeah, bit different and rarer. I'd never do that myself! A mousepad or a figure though..
tempting..got a folder to upload somewhere?

This. But I honestly believe that at least half of the claims are just consolishills creating narratives, or all thanks to Nvidia bloating the prices. Some 5yo Ryzen 7 3700 + RTX 3060 would have no trouble playing anything on the market, at better res and speed than a PS5.

$2069.99 local bux on a 4080.

my 7900xtx cost exactly $850

also what fig should i buy?

figs.png - 1611x1110, 2M

I paid like 40 bitcoins on some ram does that count?

nta but I want to see it too, especially if its yours

My current GPU (ROG Strix OC 4090) cost $2k monies, but I'm planning to pick up an RTX 6000 Pro because I mostly use the 4090 for AI tasks.

you can tell chainsaw man is kino by the way so many weebs hate it

Is that Asanagi? Anyway, Anya.

Almost exactly like me, I also bought my rig 14 years ago (based MSI motherboard) except that I'm so cheap that I bought an AMD card instead (and updated it with another RX series), just to save 50€. I thought that I was going to change my rig soon, but I recently discovered Lossless Scaling and it changed my life, Elden Ring went from 40 FPS average to 80 effortlessly, and even UE5 crap (I'm talking about the engine, not the game itself) like Expedition 33 went from 30 FPS to 60. So I think I'll be able to keep this rig for at least 2 more years thanks to this trick. Sure there are some artifacts but it doesn't really matter.

MHA was "ok" but it really fell apart when they decided to make the last 1/3rd of the entire manga cover what might as well have been 5 minutes in-universe.

i would have much rather just had it be a mindless school manga that goes on far longer than it should than what we got.

I like the fig where she's been licked by a dog

I'll never understand this. I love my figures and take good care of them. I could never imagine cumming on them, holy shit.

Current PC was around 7k including monitors
But company paid for it since it is 'for work' so no big deal

still trusting MSRP in the generation of paper launches

You're not going to find a 5070 ti for under 900, more commonly 1k+. That 4070 Super was a stupid purchase by that anon regardless.

carefully hid the important number

pretty sure it says 4070 ti, but I'm not sure

specs?

I get that, but couldn't you just not spend it? Saving is important.

13th gen i9
4090
192GB ram
4 x 4 TB Samsung 990 SSDs
3 x 4k monitors

Look, I get “PC Master Race” and Lord GabeN and all that, but seriously? The PS5 has 16GB of VRAM. You can’t get a single GPU at the price as the whole unit. A 3060 is simply not viable these days unless you want PS4 (not 5) level graphics.

It's 16GB ram between the game and gpu - it's not a proper GPU

It's why on average on PS5 pro, you'll get stuck at 60fp/1080p or 30fps/4k

PS5 Pro has the same performance as base PS5

I never said that
I also did state something that should be amended with the following at the end: depends on the game

UE5 is cancer, but even shit like the SH2 demake I got to run at 1080p/60fps using the modded FSR 3.5 with framegen. I limited the game to 80fps in the end.

Yeah god bless framegen. I was skeptical about it at first but it works even on old machines like mine.

The 3060 was an underpowered piece of shit when it launched let alone today, you practically have to play in pixels to get it to run anything new at respectable frame rates.

My mom buys me all my gaming stuff because im not a slave loser who works as a tax loser. My PC is from Costco and it runs everything perfectly, probably better than what you got it was $1500 bucks. She also buys me whores. Your life will pale in comparison to mine.

It's okay when it works, but I will curse Todd Howard to the deepest pit in hell if it becomes the go-to default. The input lag is significant, and the fake frames do create extra smear.

ER runs at rock solid 60fps at native 1920x1200, using High settings.
Yakuza: LAD2, Pirates, and the other Dragon-Engine games run flawlessly like so as well.
Ditto with Helldivers 2.

Deep Rock Galactic, a 2020 co-op shooter? All Ultra + DLAA, locked 72fps (I like my divided by 2 and 3 values).
Abiotic Factory, a [current year] UE5 indie title? Same difference.

How about AAA Unreal 5 shit :
Silent Hill 2? Pic related.
Talos Principle 2? Looks like shit with Lumen, but runs rock solid 60 on High.

tl;dr: keep seething.

yea yea if you say so retard

The 3060 isnt a great card to use because it doesn’t have enough energy. Its battery life is quite weak compared to a 3061a card from China which totally solved the issue. Im running an A card with a flex setup and a B card just in case im loading more pixels than usual. I don’t usually dip into my secondary power supply because my gaming supply card is always a cool 32 degrees.

I do. And you are crying about it!

RTX 6000 Pro

Thank you for reminding me that these just went on sale, I'll preorder a workstation model right now.

redd1t is better at discussing games and anime than Anon Babble because anons there at least play games and watch anime. this place is a cesspool of bitter millennials that cry how nothing is about them anymore.

have Denji and Asa fucked yet?

and watch anime

Yes the site that collectively thinks shikanoko is the funniest comedy anime in the last decade and slurps shounen trash got good discussions about anime. Fuvk off.

nice. what case?

Almost $1k for a single component; bought a 7900XTX upon seeing the absolute shitshow the 50 series is, as well as the general gpu market where nothing is at a reasonable street price. Spent the other $2k I had leftover from the PC budget on other hobbies.
Whole PC is about $3k I'd estimate, but it was bought over time.
Gotta say AMD's driver suite kicks the everloving shit out of nVidia's garbage software. FSR3 still sucks, but AFMF is pretty good and XeSS is good enough upscaler alternative.

don't care im still right. calling stuff r3dd1t because you pretend to be above so called normie shit is cringe

parts? about $300 on my RX480
I bought a gaming laptop for $1000 though

rofl wtf theyre like 500-600 at the microcenter

Bullshit, I rarely see them going below $900, along the fact they're pretty much all sold out.

i already have everything i need

That was a digital key that was included for free with the purchase of my CPU.

The most I spent on a single component was $600 for my gtx 780 back in the day. That build was a little over 2 grand. I recently bought a Mini pc for $1400.

bro you dont even have to do that
just dont be a fucking consoooooomer
its harder now cuz the games just run like dogshit but like
i bought a 1070 pc in 2018
in 2022 i was like fuck it ill upgrade to a 3080 pc for 240 hz
i returned it cuz i was like lol this is a waste of money.
then my pc broke cuz the overlords got salt i cost them money.
then i went to jail
got out and bought a shitty optiplex with a 1660 super and it legit runs alot of games better than ps5 lol.

nvidia sucks ass my next card is going to be amd
i have a cousin who works with ai researches
chat gpt is on all rtx gpus.
fuck that.
nvidia is garbage now lol 10 seiries was its swan song
now its a ai scam company
guess ill just get a 500 dollar amd gpu and not care about ultra settings in new games anymore.

bro elden ring runs 100 fps max settings with a gtx and a ryzen 1700
3060 is dogshit lmfao
literally all rtx gpus are.
thats why they were not available so nobody would notice.

holy schizo

what'd you go to jail for, tweakerbro?

$1000 for my EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 12GB back in May 2022.

most i've ever spent on a single part was $1000 for a 4080S last year
then i got a bundle deal at microcenter for like $430 for a 7800X3D/mobo/ram so that good deal made me feel less bad about it
then a few months later i spent $700 on an oled monitor, and loved it so much that i spent $1000 on an oled tv like 3 days later

coomer tranime figurines.

I only buy second hand parts I get off facebook marketplace for a decent price. So not much.

I just spent 3k on a prebuilt with a 5080 and another $800 on an OLED monitor. Should be good for awhile.

Imagine still giving a shit about slopsawman in the current day and age.

You're not going to find a 5070 ti for under 900

Skill issue, they were easily findable at masrp until early april. Now the lowest you can find them is 830, which still fucking sucks but things are just going to get worse from here.

the amount I paid for a 1070 in 2021 was obscene. just couldn't wait.

$960 on a 4080 Super.
