Why would demons shoot attacks that can be reflected back because they are a green color? That's really stupid. I feel like they could've done this better even if they wanted the parry mechanic. How about a bar that does up gradually as you kill or dodge attacks normally. You can use the partially filled bar to activate a reflect attack when timed right. There, you keep the mechanic without having to color code it like its a baby game.

Parrying in Dark Souls is objectively shit, so I don't know about that. Done right it can be fun. From everything I've seen from Doom it looks painfully slow, and I know it has a game speed setting, but I'm curious to see how well implemented it will be.
