Is Morrowind worth a try if I didn't like both Oblivion and Skyrim?
Is Morrowind worth a try if I didn't like both Oblivion and Skyrim?
why did you not like em
What didn't you like about them? Morrowind is pretty shit but it fills a particular niche.
Depends on what you didn't like about them.
I used to be an adventurer and then my knee got shot by arrows
If you didn't like Oblivion or Skyrim it means you probably prefer good games which means Morrowind was made for you.
lol no
You're gonna hate it
foolhardy logic
what if he doesn't like games with fetch quests?
That's like asking what you should do if your short-haired green-eyed girlfriend doesn't like giving head.
Morrowind has the best exploration of them all. No leveled bullshit. You're not the center of the world anymore, of you manage to cheese/survive one hellish dungeon of death at the heart of a raging volcano with a lvl2 toon then you will find awesome OP stuff and rape everyone to death with it, but this shit will be HARD.
Morrowind is also logical when it comes to guilds. No retard, you can't be both the leader of the thieves guild and the warriors guild, pick a line. Your choices are finite.
Finally, the setting is weird but if you get the vibes, it's enjoyable. The story is cool too and the magic system is even more broken than usual. In short, it's wildy different than the other 2 so you could like it.
vibes
play enderal
Yeah vibes
None of this meaningfully describes the gameplay. Just homosexual roleplaying faggotry.
if you thought oblivion and skyrim were too action focused and not nerdy and numbersy enough than yeah you'll like morrowind. it has world building that is actually a few tiers higher than oblivion and skyrims. but if numbers and dice rolls and worst of all OLD things is scary then no you'll hate it.
You know it's a roleplaying game right? As in the gameplay is roleplaying.
roleplaying bad in a roleplaying game
Close the board
Gameplay wise, Oblivion is directly in between Skyrim and Morrowind so you could use your imagination to get a rough idea what Morrowind might be like. If you enjoyed Oblivion more than Skyrim than there's a good chance that you might like Morrowind.
Why wouldn't you play the apex roleplaying game instead? D&D is way better for that purpose. Do you not have friends to play it with?
Videogames are for GAMEPLAY.
Anon this is 4channel I will not waste my time writing an encyclopedia on the gameplay, use Google. I just wanted to highlight the main differences between good old Morrowind and the recent TES. The fact everything isnt tied to the player anymore is a massive deal, simple as. It rewards whatever you're doing much more. The hell can I say about the gameplay ? It's oldschool TES with invisible dices and shitty animations.
Videogames are for GAMEPLAY.
Yep, roleplaying gameplay
tell us what you didn't like about Oblivion/Skyrim. All three of the games do something better than the others.
Morrowind has the best "world" and way more interesting Main Quest
Oblivion has interesting Side Quests and gimmick of scale
Skyrim has the best combat, but shittiest magic.
If anything, Oblivion is a jack of all trades except in graphics. I would argue that Morrowind beats Oblivion just with it's art style.
Homosexual bait.
The gameplay in morrowind really isn't that complicated anon. Why are you so reluctant to describe it?
OP won't answer any questions because the thread isn't genuine.
Nah, never mind you don't get it, never will.
Funny thing about morrowind is that it is neither a game or a video. It doesn't animate blocking or missing or glancing blows sufficiently so you're just clicking until something happens. Dragon Age Origins animates all that stuff and it a million times stronger as an RPG.
Skyrim has the best combat
lol
Oblivion is far, far more similar to Skyrim than it is to Morrowind. Morrowind does things that no other TES does and it frankly mogs the rest of the series
I think I did at the end ? It's your usual TES shenanigans but with deprecated animations, near static NPCs, and Invisible dices behind every single action you make. That's it ?
best "game feel" would be better for Skyrim. Oblivion Remastered's new animations help with it's combat a lil too. Dice rolls for spellcasting is something I can wrap my head around, but melee combat in a game with direct control of my character feels jank when I see my sword make contact with an enemy and I hear a "woosh" sound.
You didn't answer the question. Why did you poison the well about it?
Oh and the magic and alchemy systems are beyond fucked. This is the only TES game where you can just fly 30 feet above a town and just shit columns of fire on everything below for the lulz before fucking off in the sunset. It's great.
is it good
Yes, one of the best.
will you like it
Depends on what you disliked about Skyrim. If you didn't like how dumbed down action slash focused it was, you'll like Morrowind more
worth a try
No. Morrowind is pretty much an oblivion prototype.
I dont even understand your question. I did answer ? I said I couldn't be bothered and not too sure of what to describe beside what I already did describe.
Did not experience Oblivion's release medallion.
absolute nonsense take
Prove me wrong. You won't.
spouts abject retardation
insists other people offer proof against his claims when called out
I hear yapping don't see you proving me wrong
Morrowind does have lots of leveled shit though. I'm not saying it's a bad thing but it's a common misconception that they don't exist. if you're level 1 you'll encounter lots of scribs, rats, and nix-hounds, but if you're level 20 the same spawns may be Winged Twilights or Ogrim Titans.
The burden of proof is on you, shitheel
Pic related is all you need to know.
Morrowind is also logical when it comes to guilds. No retard, you can't be both the leader of the thieves guild and the warriors guild, pick a line.
You literally can. The guild "rivalries" are completely fake and just make your base disposition with members of one guild go down when the other goes up, but disposition doesn't mean anything if you have a 1 second charm spell or a bag of gold. The only actual restriction is that you can't join multiple Great Houses.
No, it doesn't really work like that. It's very rare to encounter Daedra far away from Daedric shrines. The rat on the route from Seyda Neen to Pelagiad never becomes an Ogrim.
Need to learn math to play the game.
Niggershit!
