I'm glad we are finally done pretending SO3 was bad

30 devs from Ubisoft mostly amateurs

how the fuck did they do it

Expedition 33 thread died for this

French high art Star Ocean 3

I wish

Greatest game of all time

How did they do what?

Is this the greatest game of all time?

Absolute masterpiece with the best video game soundtrack ever

GOTY. I'm literally in awe of what I just experienced. The art, the music, the characters. I've never experienced anything like this

Anon Babble told me it's bad now because it got popular

The story setpieces were mindblowing and the characters flow naturally like how did a small indie studio do this?

create GOTY 2025

This game was actually art. Maybe the first time videogames have ever transcended entertainment and truly become a cultural and spiritual watershed moment. Gaming is literally changed now

How would a mediocre rpg with empty linear levels and a generic cliche plot be goty?

This is the greatest game I've ever played.

What an amazing game. Absolute 10/10 with hot women.

French supremacy

Is this how cults start? What the fuck are these comments

This game is mindblowing. Game of the year.

I cried multiple times playing this

This enrages Tendies and Stillbirthers.

Best robbari!

Is this the greatest rpg of all time? It's between this and Skyrim imo

The story was so deep and captivating. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. How does a small indie studio do this?

alright you can stop now

ludokino

Decent game. So don't shitpost it like this, OP. It's not nice.

I was so engrossed while playing this that I shidded my Blacklyte Kracken and I sat in the poop for 3 hours and now the seat has a worn down area in the middle that smells

Star Ocean 3 was a great and highly misrepresented story.

72398137_p0.jpg - 1004x1000, 481.32K

Is this any good?
I haven't played video games much for the past 3 years since I've read over 10000 pages of French as my main hobby but I'm a rabid francophile now and I'd be interested in experiencing contemporary French culture

Did you know that they got the composer from SoundCloud? It's like an underdog story of a small indie team fighting against the big suits.

Soul

I'm white passing and this is my goty

I suspect OP and some of the posters here are spammers, but lets put it to the test. Show us you best, OC for the game. Preferably made by you, but otherwise whatever's in your collection.

Who were they fighting?

The boss fights are so pleasing
this game makes you realize how lazy most games are

It's by far the best game ever created with the greatest video game soundtrack of modern times.

THEY GOT THE COMPOSER FROM SOUNDCLOUD! DID YOU KNOW THAT

file.png - 362x373, 281.48K

It's amazing how such a small ragtag team can just succeed like this in the modern video game industry.

It's a true underdog story financed by french taxpayers

There's actually a rather silly yet simple answer to this no one's actually looking at: independence. They're functionally an indie studio that gets to do the things they want to do their way without the excessive and ridiculous amounts of executive micromanagement and countless meetings for budgeting and altering the most minute of things. It's why Larian gets praised for Baldur's Gate 3 being a full-featured product as well. Both studios have proven that there's still big-budget style games that can be made, even if in a time consuming fashion, with competence and passion, and that all that publisher and exec overhead is just choking the life out of major budget gaming.

My favorite part is how you can just shut your brain off and brute force all encounters since dodge and parry mechanics remove all strategy from the combat

why do all shills sound like pr bots holy fuck what the fuck happened to this board

as far as i know only the director is a former ubisoft dev, everyone else is a first timer.
crazy what they pulled off

What shills?

that's not shills retards. they're falseflag antishills (most likely jeets paid by squeenix)

Yeah like how did they do it? Just create a masterpiece like that! Fighting against the oppressive AAA companies as just a small indie company must be so hard.

It's good, and very French. especially the misery porn aspect.

game of the year

What are you talking about, schizo? Aren't people allowed to enjoy games here?

it's pretty incredible actually
some random french dude from soundcloud is making squeernix shit their pants

I clapped when I found this area. No other game has secrets like this.

There's a reason there's so many fucking great games from the late 80's/90's golden age, not everything was owned by Ubisoft, EA, Activision, Square Enix or Capcom.

It’s good, in some ways great. Between the French aesthetics, solid story and dialogue, you’ll probably like it a lot

They’re not paid or being genuine, but I see it too

They had most of the backend taken care of via UE5, while the porting and audio engineering were handled by an outside studio. Which freeded them up to do the work of Art, Story, Combat Design, and Level Design without the need to have 500 peons stuck in inefficient dev pipelines.

Not since the internet became a battlefield between chinks and jeets

i feel sorry for the angry contrarians who are obviously just mad they can't run this on their toasters

Yeah and the composer was picked up from SoundCloud. Truly the greatest underdog story in the history.

Why are you so mad?

Like it's amazing how this can be done in the modern landscape. Respect to the devs hard work.

because he wants to fit in

To be fair I've seen some folks before this be picked up off of Youtube and Soundcloud. Sega's paid attention to Tee Lopes and Falk, giving them official work multiple times. Expedition 33's success is just gonna make companies probe around for talent more, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

shitposting aside having a 30 person team creating a game with this such incredible art design compared to AC Shadows' 1000 person team is really eye opening. I doubt Clair Obscur has 2 hour long credits.

Yeah imagine just making GOTY like that with just a ragtag team of industry rejects. Truly eye-opening.

it's sad that you can't enjoy things just because they're popular so you can seek validation from a bunch of random retards online

fatherless behavior

Guys I'm at the point where Gustave dies and I had to take a step back to process what just happened. How did they manage to make the story so amazing and captivating like this? This is definitely my GOTY or possibly even GOAT.

nintendo sour grapes will never not make me laugh

The writer was picked up from Reddit, just like the composer was from SoundCloud. I respect how they're fighting against the oppressive and manipulative industry and going against the grain.

They are white.

French reddit or English reddit? Unlike what everyone here likes to believe not all of reddit is made up of californians

Lead dev seems very high intelligent. Reminds me of Miyazaki.

The whole main team is French to my understanding.

Guys did you like the game? It's definitely my GOTY so far. Just listening to the amazing soundtrack brings tears to my eye.

Yeah but that writer's name is very nordic

Yeah the game is an absolute masterpiece. The animations, visuals, OST, story and everything is top notch.

unpon further research she is half Chinese at the very least and it was a collab between her and the director.

While i hope the game wins TGA GOTY as the underdog, it's definitely a personal GOTY for me. This year is a tough fight.
I fucking love the soundtracks and actually surprised how numerous it is, like a zone has several field tracks depending on where you are in a given moment, kinda like Nier Automata.
Also, leitmotifs. Love that shit.

Some of my favorites. Robe de Jour in particular was so soothing when i was doing the dungeon.

yeah but act 2's ending kinda soured me
the premise now feels really stupid and I don't know why I should care about this stupid family squabble and take nothingburger characters

I wish they didn’t do weapon scaling. You get so much cool stuff that’s useless unless you’re willing to respec

and take

and fake*

with GTA out of the picture it's a guaranteed win

you also have a million respecs though

think of it as a metaphor for grief and how people go to such great lengths to cope with it. It went from this extremely large scale world ending epic story about heroes and villains and monsters and turned it into a story about a broken family quietly grieving for their family. I really loved it.

It feels like each act has its own self contained tone, narrative, and thematics with the characters being more props to fulfill what they want to say.
You can even see in it the prologue to act 1 where Gustave goes from shonen style hero man to soft sad man.

be a balanced chad with equal stat attribs and use whatever you need for any situation

i think it's weird that everyone in the painted world gets called 'fake' all the time after act 2. it does seem to be a real place, more like an alternate dimension than anything else, it's just a place that was created by weird beings called painters who are a lot like humans.

i like what they do with maelle's character at least.

just upgrade agility might and luck for everyone
fuck everything else lol imagine getting hit at all

Because it's fake. You wouldn't call a VR chat world a real place created by the weird beings called furries who are a lot like humans.

the endings are kind of retarded though.
alicia should've been willing to leave the canvas occasionally, obviously renoir wasn't gonna destroy it after that fight -- and verso obliterating sciel and lune and monoco and any chance of lumiere's revival just so alicia and aline can eventually be less sad is morally repugnant, but the game seems to side with him.

Maelle's best weapon has S scaling on defense tho

obviously renoir wasn't gonna destroy it after that fight

He would. Clea would. There is no possible outcome where the Canvas doesn't get destroyed.

why is something fake just because it was created by somebody? it's created but not *controlled*, all the painted beings have free will and whatnot. it's a world of autonomous beings that continue to exist whether or not the painters engage with them, why is that world any less real the painters'?

it's nothing like vrchat, vrchat isn't an alternate dimension inhabited by sentient autonomous beings of human intelligence.

We hate Star Ocean around these parts

enabling an addict

Anon, no.

The story really falls apart when you start looking at it critically

Just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean it's bad, anon.

vrchat isn't an alternate dimension inhabited by sentient autonomous beings of human intelligence.

Put some AI npcs there and it's identical to the painted world. You can cope and call them sentient or whatever but in the end they have no soul and are just paint on the canvas.

look, the result is that she lives happily in the painted world for many years and then dies earlier in the painters' world. that's really nothing like a drug addiction, however much they might've tried to make it look like one. plus, the alternative is that an entire world of people gets obliterated for the sake of one girl's 'addiction.' that's just retarded.

Okay shill, is criticism not allowed here?

Its because people are equating the painted world to being a NEET and the Verso ending to touching grass
Which they aren't wrong about, from the moment act 3 starts the narrative clearly treats those within the world as lesser with Verso being the exception and it never drops that.
However when you step outside of the indented view and treat the fake shit in ones life as mattering it causes conflict.

criticism

the story really falls apart

why

because I don't like it

Amazing criticism.

You sound like the kind of person who values they escapist entertainment way to much as is looking for excuses to justify your own refusal to go outside.

stop being a pussy

Yeah I should just blindly call it GOTY with amazing setpieces and masterful soundtrack with dev team picked from behind the dumpster or whatever. That's much better.

The conflict is intended, that's why the ending is what it is.

so many sick superbosses in this game

People call it fake because they skip dialogue and can't understand the concept of a different world to theirs existing. The game writers were deliberate in how they avoided calling the painters' mansion "the real world" or calling the canvas a "fake world", they never do those things even once because the reality of the world in the painting is never brought into question. I assume it's also Verso players trying to excuse their decision by making it seem like they didn't destroy an entire world and civilization with their betrayal, "it's not real so it doesn't matter see?"

the narrative clearly treats those within the world as lesser with Verso being the exception

well, you say this, but sciel and lune's final relationship scenes happen during act 3, which are like their most humanizing/emotional moments.

and then the ending just casts them aside like they're nothing. it's fucking weird.

still not offering criticism beyond "I don't like it"

Amazing discussion we're having here.

You expected people to read instead of being hyperbolic so they can call something shit.
Common mistake.

just reached Act 3
what are some must have Luminas for all chars like Painted Power and Second chance etc?

there's a huge difference between escapist entertainment and an alternate dimension, anon. escapism is bad because video games and the internet are a horrible substitute for a proper life. and they make you miserable over time.

that's not the case here. the painting is the best goddamn substitute anyone could conceive of, in fact it seems leagues better.

trying to make reddit writing sound deep

still not offering criticism

Stay mad

not that anon, but there's plenty of criticism of the ending in this thread.

But its still a substitute which is the problem.

It's because during Act 3 Verso regains hope that the Canvas can persist, that Alicia can convince her father, that she'll go back once she's ready.
It's being confronted with the vision of Aline outside the Canvas, and Alicia lying that he becomes fully committed to ending the Canvas.

still avoiding the question

Every anon defending Maelle would get fucked by the pleasure cube.

And it's just a cope.

the painting is the best goddamn substitute anyone could conceive of, in fact it seems leagues better.

Except that it is entirely subject to the Painters will and as things stand doomed to be destroyed either way.

The ending softens the blow quite a lot with what happens to Lune and Sciel because if you spend any time at all thinking about it, the level of heartlessness and outright malicious evil in the betrayal against them is completely unforgivable and just comically evil. Even Renoir's methods weren't as ridiculously cruel as what Verso does to those two women, how he toys with their hopes and dreams, invalidates the sacrifices of their families and friends, gives them false hope only to take it away at the perfect moment to crush them.

come on, the reason why the painted world is good is that it isn't a pleasure cube! isn't another world with real people in it, with whom you can have relationships and friendships, listen to music, go on adventures, write poetry, etc. it's got everything we value about the human experience in it, including suffering!

Both of them already died once and were brought back. All of the stakes were thrown out of the window and nothing matters. Maelle can just paint them again if she want's to cope.

It's not Star Ocean 3. Star Ocean 3 being an artificial reality isn't a good or bad thing. It's simply a fact, and it argues that being artificial is no less meaningful or ontologically relevant as coming into being "naturally". The denizens of the Eternal Sphere are not supposed to be looked down upon or pitied, and the Sphere is not a place to escape or deny. It's a perfectly legitimate spacetime construct with completely sapient inhabitants deserving of their own self-determination. The fact that it came about by constructed design is not a matter anyone cares about, except for the insane and deluded villain who you are not supposed to agree with.
Expedition 33 explicitly calls canvases fake and false and while it's left up to the player to decide if falseness is relevant, the game actually tries to argue that it is.

I have no regrets.

8.jpg - 1454x794, 150.89K

They aren't real anon, your expressing the exact problem of why Verso ending fans dislike Maelle ending fans,
Its still fake
Would you let your IRL dog starve because you needed to feed your neopet?

It's for the best...
:(

Yeah, except you can manipulate it at will.

reddit is criticism

Verso doesn't do it deliberately. He's on copium too, with Alicia stringing him along. He hopes, and because he hopes he has to drag everyone else with him once he loses hope.
One can also question just how much "free will" Verso has, being created with Aline's memories of Verso, the loving son who sacrificed himself to save Alicia. The choice he makes is part of his very being.

the game actually tries to argue that it is.

It argues it's not relevant for the people outside of it.
For the people of its world, of course it's not fake, but for Maelle it SHOULD be relevant that it was created.

except for the insane and deluded villain who you are not supposed to agree with.

Because So3 is shoddily written.

you keep calling it fake, but you're not giving any kind of argument as to what that actually means, or why it matters. it's obviously not like a neopet. none of the reasons fake things are bad in our reality apply here. so why is it bad?

Of course they died anon Verso betrayed them and got them killed lmao. The whole point of the expedition is that peoples' futures and lives were being stolen from them undeservedly. If their deaths were fair and natural then why would they have a problem with it. Have some basic understanding of cause and effect

Secret casinos have been in Tales games since the 90s.

How the devious oriental look at me after I put the opium pipe down

Yeah, what happens when someone pisses Alicia off or when the Canvas goes on a direction she disagree with?
How can Sciel and Lune have a normal relationship with her?

Show me a line of dialogue in the game that call the world in the painting fake, I can wait because I would like to see some confirmation that the writers willingly make 75% of their own story mean nothing. In fact at this point I doubt you even own the game

You're right, but it changes nothing.

cunny

i mean, this is another argument entirely. power corrupts? maybe. but i believe in virtuous rulers. none of the lumierians seems to have a problem with it, consent of the governed and all that. it's certainly a better life than being a mutilated dumb cripple in agony.

They're paint, bro. AI wouldn't know it's just an AI either. Have some basic understanding of cause and effect

Because So3 is shoddily written.

It is perfectly fine writing. Luther's just in denial that his creation has long since achieved general intelligence and thus should be afforded the rights and respect of personhood. He's akin to Frankenstein denying his monster. Of course if he were rational there'd be no conflict, but that's how stories go. Sometimes people aren't rational.
The story didn't entertain concept of being undeserving of existence, probably because it's being told from the perspective of the constructed peoples and that wouldn't pan out at all.

It is an artificial creation existing on a sub-plane of reality for all intents and purposes it exists as a clear analogy for escapism buy the time act 3 starts.
E33 has basically three different narrative themes and focus for each act.
I summarize them as
Act for those who come after you and the Expedition
Duty over family and the Painting Family
Escapism is a trap and no good alternative for overcoming grief and the conflict between the outside world and the internal one and while is better for Maelle
The moment Gustave dies in act 1 is the moment the first theme reaches its climax with the epilogue being the battlefield.
Everything having to do with Verso is a rejection of his familial bonds as represented by his father. Take note that Lune and Sciel because background figures as act 2 goes on as they are no longer tied to the primary theme.
Which intensifieds into the third act where we start with both Lune and Sciel dead and they are brought back in short order. Everything revealed in act 3 is a continuing line of how artificial everything in the painting is and how the lives in it are malleable and fleeting regardless with in turn how bad it is for Maelle to exist there.

letting a stupid teenager decide your fate

a teenager who's going to be coddled to high heaven because that's what she wants

A couple years and this shit is ending like that twilight zone episode.

Aline fucked it up by creating humans
Gestral world

Unironically yes, if things had remained how verso had left them, as a memorial to who he was, then it would of been good.
Instead his vision and legacy was distorted by the grief of those who loved him going so far as to create multiple false representations of him in their images.

Verso does, throughout Act 3.

There's a good chance her mind deteriorates with time too. We see that when fighting the Paintress she seems to have trouble remembering what really happens.

And it's the same people who say men can't be women

maximiliandood likes it

it's over

All fop the core aspects of the game you play besides FX, porting, and Audio FX was done by about 30 people.
the game would be nowhere near as successfully without those aspects but ti would still be a completely playable game otherwise with just those 30 or so people.

I will miss you guys.

the core team is 30
yes everyone on the fucking planet obviously outsources retard

I think you got that backwards chief
Versochads accept the reality of the world and embrace it with the fun and games are done.
Maellecucks instead need to cope and escape into fantasy like a tranniod.

Maelle doesn't really abuse her power in that way to be fair, everyone she brings back was people who were killed unfairly and had their life cut short or stolen.

"Fake" and "Artificial" don't mean the same thing. My t shirt is artificial and was made by someone, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

AWW FUCK THE MISSION

(You).jpg - 1000x1000, 245.98K

And yet you completely missed the actually point of my post.

it exists as a clear analogy for escapism

No, because that would make it so there's a clear cut answer to the morality of the situation.

The devs very specifically put in dialogue from Verso's soul that says all of the painted people have real feelings and souls.

Also if they weren't real people, Renoir would point that out to try to get her out of the canvas. But he doesn't do that, and he also treats the painted people as real people (even apologizing to Verso).

The painted people and their lives are just as real as the people outside, that's what makes the decision to leave the canvas very difficult. That's the point.

What a view.

63475238.jpg - 2179x1228, 360.8K

her ass is fucking insane

Star Ocean 3 except they pulled off the twist

The samurao fears the mime.

that delicious butt made me rawdog sex in normal and in NG+ both times and will never see what happens if you sex Lune cause that bitch ain’t got no ass

Yeah so what you retarded nigger, he asked how 30 people could do it and the answer is that it was more than 30, you stupid fuckwit. Could have been 2 people with the same result if everyone else was hired for code and assets. This "30 people" number is of no significance whatsoever, and this fact doesn't change just because "everyone does it", you dense retard

This is just Inception all over again.

fuck off retard

The painted world is doomed regardless because it's fueled by the soul of a dead person and the game really tries to hammer it in that said soul is fucking tired of painting. If you let Maelle win, you just prolong Verso's suffering and an inevitable end of the world itself for the sake of Maelle's selfish happiness. If you let Verso win you let a weary soul finally get peace and bring a swift end to a world doomed to end soon anyway while giving Alicia's family actual closure and happiness with the ability to move on. There's also nothing stopping Alicia from creating a new painted world but no, she just HAS to mooch of her dead brothers soul and force it to suffer. The game makes it pretty clear that one is the good ending, the other is the bad ending (especially shown with Maelle forcing a repainted Verso play the piano against his will and it slowly killing her for doing so) but in terms of writing, both endings are good.
The reason Lune, Sciel, Monaco and Esqiue don't say anything is because their existence is irrelevant to the choice, their reality as a whole is irrelevant to Maelle and Verso in that moment.

and that’s a good thing

games were made like this back in the day. you didn't scan through thousands of applications in search of the best fag woke writer or graphics engineer. you often just hired local or friends and got to making magic. When teams are over budgeted or overstaffed, things get lost in the mix.

This "30 people" number is of no significance whatsoever

that's the number of people main dev team
what part of that is so hard to understand you fucking imbecile
i agree the whole "HOW DID 30 PEOPLE DO IT" meme is retarded but you're arguing semantics here

why isn't it 33 btw

I wonder if their dog's name is monoco or noco

Maelle's ending is some nightmare orwellian scenario really.

Literal god of your world is a naive, hormonal teenager forcing everyone to smile

Said teenager will likely die within the next 40-50 years (your time) or undergo hyper-dementia

At which point, one of two things happen:

>A) The world gets nuked from orbit by Renoir, Clea, or possibly even Aline if she ever gets over the bullshit.

>B) "Humanity" forced to persist in a godless world powered by a child version of a dead man's soul. Eventually everything descends into chaos (i.e., unless there's a whole universe in that canvas then they're gonna run out of space in there eventually)

it was more than 30

Code monkeys aren't developers, pajeet

That's just what painting Verso thinks in the end. The real Verso loved his creations and wanted his canvas to be a place of new beginnings where things flourish. Neither ending does what the real Verso would want because there's no way he could have predicted that his family would use his canvas in that way. Basically it's all Aline's fault for making a copy of Verso instead of just using his canvas the way he wanted it.

Did you miss the faceless boy (the actual soul of real Verso) you can talk to all over the place in Lumiere at the end that is questioning himself if he should continue to pain or just stop because he's tired? As well as the boy nodding when painted Verso asks if he wants to stop painting. The soul wants to stop, it's not just what the painted Verso wanted, it's what the actual soul wanted. What's really fucked up is that in Maelle's ending, painted Verso begs Maelle to let him rest but Maelle forcibly repaints him anyway and even after being repainted he is trying to resist and Maelle has to keep forcing her will upon him, it's really fucked up.

It's only natural the fading boy doesn't want to do it anymore, his family have fucked everything up. Clea is filling his canvas with gross abominations while his parents are destroying everything. All he wanted in there was nice things like gestrals, grandis and trains

a mediocre rpg with empty linear levels and a generic cliche plot

you just described every JRPG and some of them are very popular

I do think there should've been a 3rd ending if you do away with all the nightmare shit Clea created to torment Verso's soul and help him in every possible location but sadly there is no reward or acknowledgement of doing it sadly. It could've been an intermediate ending between the two where Maelle actually does leave the canvas occasionally while also safeguarding it from her bitch of a sister and overprotective father (by actually staying true to her word that she will leave as necessary) and letting painted Verso rest by not painting over him. But instead you are stuck with one or the other and it's very clear which the game treats as the "good" choice vs. "bad" choice.

milquetoast "perfect, feel-good ending"

That's boring as shit and I'd actively think less of the game for providing such a cop-out option.
The endings are good precisely because they're so divisive. They get you thinking and feeling things.
Have some conviction and sincerely engage with the media you consume anon.

I mean it's an ending you would have to work for. That's usually how it goes for the "perfect" endings no matter how cheesy feel good they are compared to the basic endings. There should at least have been some form of acknowledgement by the soul that you rid his canvas of all the nightmare fuel tormenting it but there isn't.

I don't see how they are either good or bad. The scales of happiness and suffering being exchanged are perfectly balanced in my opinion.
Verso's choice:

Makes Renoir happy

Saves Aline

Lets painted Verso die and be free

Makes Alicia live in constant pain and misery

Kills all of Verso's creations like Esquie, gestrals, grandis

Destroys Lumiere and invalidates the sacrifices and efforts of millions of expeditioners

Maelle's choice

Makes Maelle happy

Preserves Verso's creations and makes the world more like what Verso wanted

Gives the people of Lumiere the future they fought to create for those who come after (even if it's finite, everything is)

Destroys Renoir's chance of restoring his family, Aline probably dies eventually

Forces painted Verso into immortal suffering

At the end of the day it's about what art and creation means to you, how much you believe what the beauty and love found in creating things is worth.

I think it genuinely harms the game artistically to even offer a "perfect" ending. It reduces the game's narrative to nothing but a gamified checklist that you probably google, get your five minutes of fuzzy feelings in your saccharine ending cutscene where everyone gets what they want, and then never think of the game again.

The endings for this game are gonna stick with me for a while precisely because I feel so strongly about which one was the correct course of action. But despite that, there are people who feel just as strongly towards the other decision. This level of connection/engagement is something I value highly in any media I consume and consider it to be something that elevates it beyond "slop" status for me.

This game is so fucking mid. The praise is insane

Didn't play the game award

I get your point, I still would want the game to at least acknowledge you ridding the canvas of the nightmare shit tormenting the soul. Maybe even remove the soul nodding to painted Verso's question if it wants to stop painting and simply have it hesitate instead. It would be minor but it would be a level of acknowledgement that you helped it find some form of peace.

People are going to talk about this game here for years for this reason. Funny how this website becomes the best place to get real engagement and discussion on things when something worthwhile actually comes along.

space after >

it's obvious

I don't care about this game and want everyone to know that

If it's any consolation the fading child would at least stop being sad over his canvas being filled with terrifying creatures and abominations coming from Clea's fucked up imagination and Renoir/Aline fighting. He would still be depressed over having to exist in a weird state of being an anchor for another world's existence, but at least his beloved creations wouldn't be all mangled and painted over.

Once I reached that part I thought the same, it's literally SO3 again, but hey, I liked SO3 when I was young and I'm enjoying this one too.
