i have not played xenoblade and i have no plans to own a nintendo, but rebirth is the best of the bunch by far. There are many problems with that game, but the good parts easily outshine the padding and some of the ubisoft tier sidequests. I still have to finish e33, it's fun and the story is interesting. I don't really have anything bad to say about the game other than that i find it weird that the character's heads are bigger than they supposed to be, Idk if it's just me, but it's kinda distracting. But that's all i can think of, not a real issue.

I DO believe that the game would have been way more fun for me if I could have played it at a better resolution and higher FPS. XBC2 looked absolutely disgusting on Switch, just a super blurry mess.

I'm a fan of Charlie Cox's body of work and it was on gamepass.

E33 feels like the freshest take on the genre and the french inspiration is also fresh and novel. It is the most recent, so I am biased, but I'd put it at the top.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my favorite Xenoblade game. I really like the story. It is such a strange game though, because the beginning has those weird blushy crushy moments and Mythra waking up in Rex's bed. Then you get to the end of the game and then it is about suicide, depression, death, nature vs nurture, finding your place in life, dealing with grief, moving on, acceptance, family, and other genuinely mature themes that clash with the earlier part of the game. Overall, I still really like it.

Metaphor has a great premise that finds itself getting ruined near the end. The king's game is actually the best idea the game has and for some reason they abandon it and primarily use it as just a vehicle to give you reasons to go to certain places. I would have preferred the entire game be about the King's Game and give you choices, options, and consequences. However, overall the game was still pretty good. I liked the job system it had even though it was relatively basic. I feel like if they expand upon the job system for Persona 6 (and keep Demons for SMT proper) then it could be good.

I am so torn on the FF7 remake games. I feel like they are extremely high budget and extremely high effort. Unlike a lot of other people, I do feel like the creators actually love FF7 and are trying really hard to shove in as many references to it as they can but are actually afraid of just copying it. It is like they think they're not good enough so they made an homage rather than a straight up remake. However, I am not the biggest fan of it gameplay wise. I don't think the weird half action, half ATB system works. The story feels very bloated. Rebirth was better than Remake, so maybe the 3rd game will be even better still.

I'll be honest, I played all these 4 games (except it was XC1 DE instead of 2) and the only one I finished and had fun finishing was E33.
I gave up XC1 after 2-3 hours because it was too anime.
I gave up Metaphor after 7-8 hours because the dungeons were boring and the writing quite pretentious and retarded.
I gave up FF7R after 20 hours because I was fucking tired of this shitty Ubisoft open world and the girls acting all cute and kawaii, it all felt so forced.
