you get them too quickly, and most of them are underwhelming compared to the good few

the good few being bastila (jedi and waifu and important to the plot and has a personality), hk (juvenile writing compared to kotor 2, but that can be said about kotor 1 in its entirety), and jolee (grumpy black uncle jedi)

the rest range from mediocre like canderous (just kinda ... there) to worthless like mission and zaalbar (nothing interesting to contribute) to ... whatever juhani is supposed to be (cat person angry baby jedi??)

I'm almost done with my first Kotor 1 run. Should I replay it or jump into Kotor 2?

Replay if you're really curious about the other route, but it's mostly the same content from a gameplay perspective. Reminder that TSLRCM is essential for 2, droid planet is not.

I'm mostly curious about the companion routes, and a number of quests I got locked out of because the main story progression.
Also the fact that I never once levelled charisma or persuasion, I figured I'd try that on a second playthrough.

I dislike the Guardian, Sentinel, Consular class arrangement instead of either having one more customizable Jedi class or more options.

she's uninteresting and boring. she has nothing interesting to say even once in the game and her entire character arc is her quest on dantooine, after that she's just there for the next 40 hours until you maybe kill her. also, she's unattractive.

jolee was one of the best characters, mainly because his dialog was actually fun. maybe not as good as hk but he was fun to have around.

charisma is kind of ok for cross-aligned force powers if i remember right

persuasion is pretty great from a roleplaying perspective and has some good gameplay implications too

She's very boring because they made her with the expectation that you'd end up killing her, so she doesn't get to do much.
