No. I recommend running it if you have the space for it.
Necroquip is very good because it doesn't have the Veiler and Imperm chokepoint that Lacrima does with Sequence needing to resolve. Going with Necroquip also lets you keep maindeck Lacrima in the grave with Sequence for follow-up or a Paradise set-up during your opponent's turn.
The only downside to Necroquip is that you usually can't summon her more than once in a duel like Lacrima, but Lacrima only becomes a better option when you just have multiple rank 6 monsters that you want to keep summoning each turn.
It would be extremely painful.

GranCoolia has a fun interaction with Z-ARC because she negates having its boardwipe effect negated, so you summon Z-ARC to destroy your opponent's field, then you use GranCoolia's negate and then you use Masquerena to link her into Apollousa for additional negates.

From what I've seen it's about as bad, yeah. At best you set up some bounces or maybe a few Anguish Pattern pops. On average you eat a single imperm/veiler and can't do anything. Supposedly the next wave helps a little bit but not by much. It's not even the best continuous trap monster archetype now that Odeon got his deck.
NTA but what they mean is that at least Ashened has a really good in-archetype Superpoly target alongside a field spell that turns everything into potential material for a Superpoly, AND the deck can search a trap card that functions as a respondable Superpoly. It's not great because Obsidim is one of the most fair cards in existence and only turns everything into Pyro types on your turn, but it's possible. Argostars can run Superpoly as non-engine but they only have the generic targets.

Why did we get the PUNK cards so early? Why couldn't they have done the same for the live twins cards
because the PUNK girl sells and they can't bump up too much at once because they gotta space out the cute cards to keep a steady income instead of making too big of a burst.
Don't get me wrong, I love control decks, from the very beginning I've enjoyed Traptrix, Lab and Dinomorphia to mention some, and I like the idea of a deck that uses trap monsters sounds very fun, but Argostars is just bad and it's obvious that it was designed from the beginning as a mediocre incomplete deck.
Seeing a deck that uses Kiriban makes me happy, but there's no way I'm spending resources to build a subpar archetype which doesn't even have an interesting art design. Argostars has to be one of the most boring and safe "waifu" decks that have been released in years.

ED is anywhere from 2 UR to 5 UR, depending on your game plan. Mandatory ED UR (non generic) are the level 8 synchro, and the XYZ. Punisher is a great win con but it is generic so you should have it anyway.
The rest of the deck is generics, staples and secondary engines.
You have 4 main deck monsters that all search for each other, 1 that searches you field spell, 1 that fusion summons and synchro summons on your opp's turn (and so one that searches for archetype traps, but they aren't really worth it). The new level 8 is a great starter by herself (granted you have something to banish in your hand or gy), is best at 3 as it leaves you with more gas.
Your wincons are Punisher OTK, generic negate board or control (2-3 interruptions+2 negates) + massive card advantage thanks to your field drawing 2 per turn and your lvl 8 synchro being able to search for Snow Ogre with ease.
In fact you can search for ogre so damn hard (synchro+e-tel y) you should run it at 2 unless you really want to open with kt

What I'm saying is is that it makes more sense, at least to me, to support a wide range of playstyles and decks than to keep forcing powercreep on decks people might not even like. Had they done it that way everything you posted wouldnt even have become an issue. At least not as fast as it is now.
Magic is in a powercreep death spiral now too but it maintained it's core gameplay far longer than YGO did. You can simply read all the crazy loophole prerequisites on modern cards and determine this was never how the game was intended to be played when it was made.
