It's the one game where the series gets on its two feet, so it's probably the most "basic" AC game you can play. A lot of elements from AC2 are recreated in AC04 so you might get to fawn over that a bit as well.

I think ace combat has a shitty control scheme for precise aiming. Battlefields is better which puts pitch and roll on the right stick with yaw on the left.
