Which was it for you?

Always hated the fact they removed the ability to knock other players weapon out of their hands with your bare fists and making it so you need to use the brass knuckles (which isn't always available) for it.
That was literally the only upside of going fist only.

Pirates vs Vikings vs Knights.
Game is fun af, but there's literally no one playing it.

I remember playing the everliving shit out of the multiplayer for this and having a blast, back on console way back, but I suspect it's long dead now outside of random discords.

sherwood?

The playerbase used to be respectable until the devs decided to blacklist the Saloon servers for some reason.

mod is fun and very popular

devs change it for no reason

mod dies

Zombie Panic Source died the day they started using it as a testing for Contagion
No idea what they were thinking with Contagion or why they thought it was worth destroying ZPS.

Anyone remember picrel?

For me, it was Ace of Spades before Jagex fucked it all up.

man I miss the era of source mods

King Arthur's Gold, also The other problem with a low playerbase is that, the few people that do still play it are leagues above new players, who always get their asses handed to them which discourages them from playing even further.

fat princess

Fuck this was so good

I'm ashamed to admit that i only know about it thanks to Sparrow's porn of the purple chick

Neo Tokyo
Tremulous
Urban terror
Thievery ut99
Infiltration ut99
Smokin guns

Those were the days

pass the whiskey

Natural Selection

Gigantic didn't just die, it died twice.
The second time it even died because it did too well and Gearbox had cheaped out on the servers so hard that they couldn't handle how many people were trying to play it

Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm, at least the servers with reasonable ping.

It's on gp for now at least

Red Faction and soldier of fortune 2 on PC

Loved this game

Its been so long that I don't even remember the name off it, but I'm pretty sure it was a source game where you ran on walls and shit, it was basically an FPS matrix game.
I played it so much my PC died.

Holdfast nations at war

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

The Specialists
especially the RP servers

Gmod Zombie Survival before servers ruined it. Used to admin a server like a decade ago before the owner sold it and everything else these days is soulless inflated clutter you have to spend an hour downloading hentai mods to access.
Gmod The Stalker, better than The Hidden imo.
Killing Floor
Gundam Evolution, technically just got shut down
Aliens Fireteam Elite
Sanctum games
Red Orchestra 2
Second Extinction, also server killed
Blocks torment
Payday The Heist
Payday 3
Loadout, server killed
Depth
Guns of Icarus Online
Dead Island Epidemic, server killed
I don't really even play vidya anymore, guess I'm just old and bitter

Yeah I loved Firearms Source, used to play it a ton with other Anon Babbletards

Blackwake, if you were allergic to early access and thought you could just wait for this game to fully release you quite literally missed the boat.

I miss Crysis multiplayer

Nothing hits the same. Have to play RS2 for my fix and even that's barely alive these days

Looking at this thread and googling some names, it was the specialists that I played.

Zombie Master

that zm who just spammed banshees and insantly ended the game in 30 seconds

the map that lasted 30 minutes because the zm spammed hulks in one of the objectives

came out

was fun

dev autistically tries to "fix" everything

Schofield nerfed over and over

dynamite nerfed

melee builds nerfed

game dies for "some reason"

Pass the whiskey

Yeah, and that arguably killed it a third time because the player numbers went up and then immediately died after it hit gamepass, because they STILL haven't upgraded the servers.

The developer for FoF was a weird one because he kept doing this. Why would you nerf and change random things and kill your playerbase? He's been missing for almost 2 years now and no one else has access to the code to update the game.

there are binaries available for battlefield heroes, but I just wish there were working bots for it instead

RS2 is possibly my favourite multiplayer shooter, probably the one I have the most hours in. Sad that hardly anybody is playing it now.

I really hope that ‘83 will be a worthy successor, but it will still be no GI GO HOME

planetside 2 :(
