It was okay, I enjoyed it.
Fantastic aesthetics, art direction and cool world building. Okay gameplay. Too chatty for its own good, although putting the voice in russian help a lot. Felt a bit too much on-rail, especially the first section. I don't mind lengthy introduction/tutorial zone but fuck, let me at least explore the world a little bit.
Overall, it's easily 7/10 game. It's an honest attempt at a "soviet-vibe bioshock".

The OST is stellar, this and the art are the best things about the game and they really elevate it

It seems alright. Not full price alright though. The robot women carry it hard as far as I could tell. From what little gameplay I saw on youtube it seems like a rather standard FPS the setting and designs help differentiate it a bit. The main character seemed really aggressive for seemingly no reason, but that could have been the video editor fucking around.

Correction: Every modern game that isn't politically positive gets forgotten after a week, which is exactly why Atomic Heart was. It was made by Russians and the entire game got hard locked from "journalism" because no one wanted to promote it, in fact it did get recognition but a boat load of hatred for it being "sexist" due to the objectification and sexualization of the robots ladies

That's also the reason why he's always shouting crispy critters. It's what one of the surgeons(or whoever found his body after getting blown to pieces, I don't remember) said when he saw the body. P-3 was conscious at the moment and CRISPY CRITTERS got burned into his brain. A shame they toned down all the crispy crittering with the DLCs, probably because a lot of people complained about it. I didn't mind it, but I also don't play with english voices. Also the twins are P-3's wife, right twin has the right part of her brain, left twin has the other half. That was the only way to "save" her after she got blown away in the same terror attack that btfo P-3. Unlike him, her body couldn't be salvaged. Last DLC has her freak out at times because she's missing her other half

I played it early this year and enjoyed it. Soundtrack was incredible, Royksopp in the first 10 minutes was unexpected. I wish it leaned more into puzzles that weren’t just the little side dungeons. Combat kept me interested, and was enjoying the flow between using guns, melee, and powers.
The story and dialogue could have been better, and the bosses felt weak besides the twins.

This. It was the only real problem I had with the game. Other than that, it was basically everything you would love to see in an Xbox 360 era game. I had a great time with it though I did have the gamepass at the time

I wish the game had taken off a bit more because the twins are genuinely a kino design. I'm so sick of seeing 2B and other designs regurgitated over and over again. Attempts to try to make a memorable design like Eve or a lot of newer fighting game females felt like complete flops to me. The twins actually just flat out have an amazing design. It's unique, sleek, sexy, and the colors are perfect. They aren't over designed at all either. I would have loved to have seen the design thrown around a bit more as far as figurines/statues or collabs go.

The ending really sucked. The ending of Bioshock had a twist that made sense, and hit the player out of nowhere like a ton of bricks.
Atomic Hearts ending made no logical sense. I wont spoil it. But imagine if it was revealed in a Batman comic, that Robin was secretly Lex Luthor the whole time. That's how much of an asspull the ending of the game is.

I really enjoyed the vavlov complex part but going up to the surface I lost like an hour and a half of progress after getting caught by the cameras then giga raped by 30 saw robots because the game has an arcade style checkpoint system despite having just thrown me in a free roam area
I will come back to it eventually but man, free roaming in this game feels so tacked on

Didn't finish it after first hour because it was boring, but the fact it created many porn videos with the robot ladies was worth the effort

the "free roam" is completely skippable if you just go to the quest markers, and you don't need really any of the special weapon parts from the testing grounds to beat the game on armageddon. just abuse the electro gun and you're all set

I wish she said more. I didn't finish the entire game and stopped at maybe halfway in. Anytime I visited Nora she didn't speak outside of the generic welcome lines. Made me sad really.
