Really, all of the world's journalists name it?

Safe ass reddit pick, whats the hardest boss, Absolute Virtue?

Not even the hardest level in the game, Rat Race is

Absolute Virtue

not anymore

Except the levels after it are infinitely harder. This level just filtered a lot of people.

This every level after Turbo Tunnel is far harder barring the Ice Cavern and Surf City

This person has never played a video game in his life, this stage is easier than any subsequent stage in the game.

Final Fantasy garbage

Back to your general.

The stage is infamous for being a difficulty spike. But the game keeps getting harder.
Ultimately it's not that hard. It's just the cut-off point where you need to know what you're doing.

im sorry you missed out, zoomzoom

is it the worst? i had nes turtles with that fuckin underwater level and that was bad

harder than dodonpachi stage 5 second loop?
I dont know man

Noobs confirmed

Riding the snakes is harder.

In 1991 this was my 2nd rented game after mega man 3, the first two levels were fun but this one was inexcusably relentless.

It has to be on 2P as you can kill each other iirc

On the SNES version it's just as hard, but if you play with a friend, both have to succeed at the same time (a player can't continue if the other dies). i wonder what the fuck they smoked at Rare

Clinger Winger is way fucking harder than Turbo Tunnels or Snakes

cw.png - 321x224, 8.26K

oh maybe there was a 2 player mode on nes too

That's not even the hardest part of that game. It's just the first hard part, and not really. It's just memorization.

imho it's more of a rhythm game than anything else, especially the last part

Battlemaniacs is not the "SNES version". It's a full blown sequel.

Battletoads did get a Sega Genesis port of the original though.

Yea, I realized I could easily get through the Tunnels when you just start rubbing up and down at a certain pace and you'll get past each wall easily. Then it's a matter of finding the right frequency for each section.

This shit is only hard in co-op because if your idiot brother dies, you die too.

That one isn't so bad if you intentionally die to reach the level exit.

Two problems with this level.
First of all, the level is so simple, the requirements are so slim, and the feedback is so vague that there's no way to be sure if you're doing badly until you eventually get mowed down.
And second, if you're playing 2-players and manage to get this far, the stage is completely broken and unbeatable.

F-Zero GX Chapter 7 on Very Hard should be on the list (I haven’t read it so I don’t know if it is)
Though actually, the hardest thing to do in that game is simply winning not-rainbow road on Master. It’s insanely hard to come first place on that track, and it’s a good thing you don’t have to since it’s in a Grand Prix so just do good on the other tracks.

I've never beat Ice Cavern (always just used the skip in Turbo Tunnel), but I agree that Surf City is easy as fuck in comparison. Volkmire's Inferno is what ultimately filtered me from beating the game. That's essentially Turbo Tunnel on steroids.

???

I Wanna Be the Guy better be on that list.

Journalists name the hardest video game level of all time - cuphead tutorial

That one is manageable if you're willing to pause buffer

That's not Clinger Winger

implying

either this or the Tower of Ascension since in that one you get zero lives and restart the entire thing if you die at all
kek

I was able to consistently beat that at like 5 years old. Even if it was scary the first time.

You can snake in F-Zero GX and trivialize the story mode. I honestly find most realistic racing games harder if we're going by single player content.

I can beat that level and I am bad at games.

Ultimately it's not that hard

You can also kill the other player and don't share lives, but if one runs out of lives it restarts the game for both players.

I found out from the GCCX episode that Battletoads is practically unknown in Japan and the version that released there was heavily nerfed to the point that Arino was have a lot of fun and loving it,

Mexican man beat this level with a blindfold on live tv

Journos are lying.

The hardest video game level is probably from one of those porn games that tell you not to cum but keep showing you pics of hot women.

GnG Resurrection is harder
shame nobody but me and two other people played it

Initial D Special Stage Bunta

For one thing, that game has a difficulty selection and nobody but absolute masochists played on Legend their first time through, and even then it's mostly the unforgiving checkpoints that makes Legend difficult beyond trial and error.

An incomplete sequel.

Ends in the bomb stage after fighting a dark queen no frames of animation

The arcade game is the same, you never fight the queen, Battletoads is cursed.

Clinger Winger is really demanding and hurts your thumbs.

absolutely ball crushing. i remember as a lad i couldn't even beat that level with an emulator lmao

they're fucking retarded. the surfboard and jet levels are even harder. these tourists never got past turbo tunnel

which version of battletoads was the hardest

not even the hardest level in battletoads

It's unreal how unimpressive game journalists are.

it's almost like they want you to cum

one of these retards couldn't even get past the tutorial stage on cuphead

if only they knew their heads would explode

the first two levels were fun

I thought only the first level was.
The second level was stupid, you're just dangling on a rope barely able to move or do anything.

That game was terrible. Technically impressive, but every single level was a gimmick after the first. I really dislike Rare's games, they don't understand how to balance difficulty at all.

Right!?

the first 2 levels were there to trick you. it's asenine how hard this game really is even past turbo tunnel

2nd stage isn't that bad after you've got the hang of it. It actually becomes the stage where you farm extra lives so you can survive longer for the rest of the game once you get good enough.

Snaking doesn’t work well on Chapter 5, 7, and 8. The AI rubberbands too much on 7 and the has a lot of traps thrown in, same with 8, and chapter 5 wants you to play in a specific way perfectly to make it out in time.

Children could beat that level no problem when it came out. Gaming skills have greatly diminished over generations.
