For me, it's a rainy city at night level
Favorite type of level?
I like jungle levels

close overgrown paths with lots of cover and leaf shadow and enemies popping out of trees and bushes
i dont want to discuss what i like, but i unironically hate beach levels

Desert, as long as there are ancient ruins to discover.
Coast levels are the best. It's a shame they're rare and we just get an abundunce of sewer levels instead.
Yep, that's kino
I always liked that little frozen island town in Fable or the cold coasts of WoW's Northrend.
tropical levels aren't bad but are often so idealized as to be scoured clear of any defining character.
Why do foreigners make more amusing USA levels than American devs?
This, I'm not even a trainffag or a Anon Babbleigger anon but train levels are the highlight of any game they are in.
Nightclub levels
final hitman 3 level
FUN
I never enjoyed clubs. Is such a retarded concept.
I like beaches.
Shame these went extinct.
Some anon will say muh E33 but it completly misses the aesthetic point and Unreal Engine can't do them justice.
Landing in northernd for the first time was one of my gaming highlights. It'll sound wierd but I think it helped that I was late to the party and the next expansion was already out. So I got there and it was this windy cold harbour town with just the NPCs there acting out the 'struggling to survive' scene they'd set up. Felt so cosy and mysterious.
making a level for my game
want to set it at night
get the urge to add rain
It feels as if almost every night level in my game has rain it it. Should I just commit to it?
I like dungeons, specially non-linear ones that allow me to get lost without being too complex or convoluted
For me, it's a rainy city at night level
Same, pure atmosphere
Airports
full of people
SNOW levels!
I hate this time of year; it's the longest possible time before more comfy weather.
the abandoned mansion/hotel/office/castle/hospital/factory
Max Payne is such a comfy game, fuck.
Peak vidya aesthetics.
Cold, snow, the perfect level to bundle up in a blanket in the cold winter and shiver as the chilling music makes shivers down your spine and makes your hairs stand up. KINO

Harbor levels
Noveria. Home.
living in delfino seems nice
Snow levels are peak comfy.
youtu.be
Tankers/ferries. No gay ass cruise ships though. It's better when the ship isn't decked out to look like a floating hotel.
Asian city
shopping district
nighttime rain
It's gaming time
Blistering heat year-round
Have to live among tree-headed freaks with a broken justice system
Noki are more chill but they're second-class citizens who live underwater and don't interact with outsiders much
Only two actual towns
Active volcano
Cataquacks
Chucksters
I'd take at least one vacation there but no way in hell would I want to stay
consumerism (west): :(
consumerism (east): :O
I think it's more appealing because of the lack of filth and general danger
lack of filth
you've never been in shibuya at night
arent there like no trash cans
We desperately need more Halloween-themed levels.
generic maze sewer with toxic sludge
Yea, quite a lot of trash about
Jungles with ancient ruins. Just hits right
yeah
rain
I'm a sucker for a good sewer level
