It flopped. What went wrong?
It flopped. What went wrong?
Gee I don't know, you tell me anon.
Terrible gameplay loop.
Modding scene dead on arrival
Horrible story
Literally just play Skyrim, Fallout 4 or OBR.
everyone looks like that one nigger actress with bulging eyes
the one that was in jedi fallen order and so much other media
i think it is the upper eyelid being so open that makes them look like that
Not even a thorough Wabbajack modlist can salvage this garbage. I tried.
15 million players
more than 700 million in sales
indian response
more than 700mil in sales
That's less than Star Citizen, and that game isn't even released.
they quadruple downed on wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle
What do you even do in this game?
good morning saars dont get bombed
Anon, I appreciate your attempt to be factual but for the retards round these parts: Facts are only facts if they agree with the conclusion an anon wants to be true.
how is saarfild bad
The better question is what went right, which is of course nothing, what was Starfield even trying to be
whatever the fuck that thing is's eyesballs literally clip through it's eyelids
what the actual fuck. Did they even try?
Todd lied, for the first time in his life as a matter of fact
Basically everything.
American made.
Outsourcing 70% of the game to India with the other 30% just copy/pasting fallout 4 mechanics.
You believe the slightest bit of evidence. It doesn't take much to convince you. You see 1 chart or statistic and you believe it. Some of us are a little more skeptical than that.
How can you be sure that the chart or statistic you're seeing isn't forged to suit some kind of political agenda, for example?
Too dry for normies, too goofy for people who actually want NASApunk stuff.
Didn't commit to whatever 1990s trading sim stuff Todd wanted to emulate/was inspired by and didn't commit to being Skyrim with guns.
It's just a wishy-washy cowardly game that's half-assed at everything and isn't for anyone. The shitty looking jeet and san fran contractor assets didn't help either.
Start game
get to the 1st city
Quit
idk what it is, I just didn't care what was happening. And the city looks so boring. It failed to hook me in
Don't forget that fucking Emil had the player character be the literal Starborn (he actually named it that), which was just the same thing as the Dragonborn, complete with shouts.
honestly if the writing was better I'd probably still be fucking around with the game. I liked the general gameplay loop even though the "dungeons" were boring. the whole "world" just feels so incohesive and fake though. they just can't create a game world from scratch, they need the elder scrolls and fallout established lores to crutch on
Turns out "nasa-punk" is a shit aesthetic and having to sit through 1000 loading screens to get from on planet to another killed everyones interest
Someone post that elevator webm
Made by jeets, disgusting half human shit elementals. Anything they touch is tainted.
everything went wrong, but most of all the collaboration with nasa because they insisted the game be more realistic and less gameified so whaat we see is not really a game but an art project that appeals to absolutely no one.
nothing, game was kino, only low iq retards got filtered.
what is realistic in starfield
truly this. Literally all they had to do was put fucking sentient aliens in ffs. Why could they not have done that?
Too dry for normies, too goofy for nasa-punk and most importantly too tame for Elder scrolls players. If i can't get into a several day long argument with people over whether Vivek killed his children with Molag Bal with the dick he bit off Molag bal or if he instead raped his kids to death with said dick i'm just not that interested.
thats not what i meant, i mean like systems that are fantasy things that you know bethesda is known for, im not saying the realism was executed well but you can obviously tell when nasa stepped in and wanted things sanitized like for instance the bar or strip club or whatever the fuck it is, you know full well who ended up making the final say in that decision its not something bethesda would have made under normal circumstances
they would not have any say in the design unless they were the ones who financed the game which definitely didnt happen
the reason it is shit is that it was developed by the people who neither know or care about videogames
i simply do not believe you, under normal circumstances i'd say sure, but there is just no way in hell the karens at nasa didn't twist todds arms and legs until the game got changed.
it should have just been Elite: Dangerous but with more planetside stuff
all the ugly brown people killed the game
This is me as well, but after like 5 fetch quests.
