Oblivion remaster completion rate

LMAO

Yeah sorry I don't feel like closing 8 identical oblivion gates that take ~45mins each, just so I can recruit soldiers that I don't need in a fight that I don't take part in.
The main questline peaks in the tutorial.

It's commonplace for people to be too engrossed in the side content to actually bother with finishing up the main quest in any Bethesda game. The completion rate is more so from game reviewers and people rushing the game to get to the next one.

I was filtered at the Bruma quest. This game is dogshit. Bethesdaniggers don't know good combat or a good game if it hit them in the face.

This game is shit, and slapping unreal over their engine didn’t do anything to improve the base game

the dropoff rate

yeah, its shit

I have over 300 hours in oblivion between 360 and PC. never beat the MQL

I have 1000 hours in Skyrim and I've never seen the ending.

Elder Scrolls isn't a game you play to finish it. You play to get lost in the world Bestheda built. Beating the game means it's over. Why would you want it to be over?

I never beat the main quest lol and have 80 hours in the remaster

Everyone has their achievements disabled due to console and being too lazy to install a mod to restore them

start game

do fighter's guild questline

do arena questline

do Dark Brotherhood questline

too burnt out to do main quest

stop playing game

This is the cycle I find myself in every time I play Oblivion. It just doesn't keep me hooked like Morrowind did. Plus i like Morrowind's clothes and armor more. Oblivion's drip is just too generic for me.

I haven't gotten there yet, calm the fuck down autist
IM TRYING TO GET RICH HERE, ALMOST 2 MILLION

the game started crashing every like 30 minutes for me so i stopped playing

i have beaten oblivion like once on 360 i dont think i ever actually finished skyrim either

Why is that funny? I haven't even really touched the main quest, just doing sides. Enjoying the game

I did a frenzy AOE cast in the market district and watched 40+ people die

Normies don't finish games, this one only takes a few hours if you beeline through the main quest like they always do but they've still already dropped it and moved on.

That just proves this shit was astroturfed. Yeah okay, most comically popular game for the whole year and yet basically nobody has done the second fucking quest in the game? Fuck off.

Its an open world rpg with tons of side quests and some factions, half the time in skyrim i dont even bother with the main quest beyond unlocking shouts

You don't have to close all the city gates actually. The only mandatory ones are Kvatch, Bruma, and the Great Gate

who the fuck finishes the main quest in bethesda games?

nobody finishes it because lolmods

The main quest sucks dick

What? Champion of Cyrodiil is the title you get for beating the whole game. Over half of players at least closed the Kvatch gate.

It's easy to accidentally disable achievements on PC

Main quest screws up too much stuff, so people save it for last; it's like skipping the skyrim civil war quest to keep whiterun clean.

I haven't gotten a single achievement due to unlocking the prison cell at the start to beat the shit out of valen dreth. Didn't realize I wasn't getting any until several hours in.

Only a little over half have closed the first fucking gate

That's the issue, retard.

Almost 10% quit before leaving the sewers

I find it crazy 1 in 10 people quit oblivion during the tutorial

You said "basically nobody has done the second quest in the game", which categorically is not true, over half of players have gotten through the opening act, which is about par for most games.

Most people finish a movie or tv show to completion. They just fake it by looking at other people's reviews and parroting that. It's much easier to hide this fact because they don't have public trackers for that. You just have to take the word of streaming sites and aggregator sites that they did watch it to completion.

Look chud, it's totally normal for almost a minority of players to finish the second quest that you can beat in about 30 minutes

Shut up Todd, go work on ES6.

I'm waiting for the patch to come through to fix the save bug so my game doesn't get corrupted

I imagine people got caught up in the hype and bought it, remembered they hate video games, and never touched it again

graphics fags don't play video games

Color me surprised

I haven't bought the remastered game. I played a lot of the original even though it's actually kinda bad. Bethesda haven't ever made a good game and not even a decent one in decades. I'm also absolutely a bigger nazi than you. But it is just an objective fact that these achievement results are within expected parameters.

This is why I usually do an "RP Playthrough" where I only do one guild questline for that run plus the arena.

The drip here is cool but it's totally inappropriate for property to appropriate traditional Dunmeri dress :D

Is it just me or is Oblivion kind of a bad game? Terrible dungeons, nothing to find in the overworld except for dungeons and a couple (shitty) small villages/camps, worst action combat I have ever seen in an RPG, "talk to X then talk to Y or fetch Z" quests galore", nonsensical leveling system/level scaling where you start getting weaker after the lvl 15-20 range where you max out your main attributes.
Overall just a shit game and I have no idea how or why I finished this boring slog when I was younger.

It's easy to like shit games when you have no measuring stick to compare them against

Don't you get tired of posting retarded console war dogshit?

Untitled.png - 972x374, 57.16K

posts stats decade later

101.4 hrs

still haven't touched the main quest

yea i think i'll be here a while

I played it a ton many years ago and I never finished the main quest, it's normal

influencer honeymoon period is over

surprised people aren't actually playing

Everyone just wanted to fit in.

5070 Ti

PC feels like it's going to melt after 10 minutes of this game

yeah I've played it probably like 9-10 times over the years, never beat the original questline, would always dump like 60 hours into side shit then stop

obviously, no way zoomers would play such a clunky old game no matter how shiny its new coat is

58k currently on steam alone

morrowind looks so magical

Should I finally play Morrowind when I get done with Oblivion Remastered? Is it really incredible or is it easier to like as nostalgia?

I would bet good money that's a higher completion rate than the original.

The best way to know if you like a game is to play it.
Don't let deranged autists here try to influence you into either expecting too much or automatically concluding it's old shit.

its one of the best games ever made (i never played it)

lol they built this garbage with procgen, get some standards.

Every game on steam

From Small Beginnings - Start a new game : 20% of users have this achievement

I find it crazy 1 in 10 people quit oblivion during the tutorial

Probably people that couldn't run the game and refunded, it's not weird at all.

Not everyone rushes to complete games

Achievements get turned off permanently for your dude if you press the ~ button, which most people do to either fuck around, cheese the game, or change settings. Yall are newfags it has been like this since fallout NV.

I've played 17 hours and haven't closed a gate

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that I turned off achievements. I probably have zero achievements besides leaving the tutorial. Oblivion isn't Oblivion if you're not doing jank ass console command stuff.

bro is this your first Elder Scrolls game?

People avoid doing the main quest and do a gazillion sidequests first. They might not complete the main story until 100+ hours in. For one they might avoid even doing the first main quest in order to prevent spawning oblivion gates all over the map and killing off quest NPC's.
In Skyrim they'd avoid doing the main quest in order to not spawn dragons.
You're free to play the game as you wish and that's one of the ways people will play. to hell with the main quest they focus on faction questlines instead.

I've never finished a MQ in any Bethesda games. I usually get my fill of a playthrough at like 70-80 hours. I just get lost in the various worlds. I couldn't get that into Starfield though. Dunno why, the world just felt lame and not good compared to other Bethesda worlds. I started with Morrowind btw.

Gamer dads have no time

Also if you ever tcl because you got stuck in geometry, or have to disable/enable or placeatme a broken NPC, then your achievements get disabled for cheating.

The world of Oblivion feels so bland and shallow once you get past the initial lustre, I don't blame people who don't finish the main quest and just find themselves getting bored after finishing one or more guilds and are sick of the dungeons. There's no weight to anything as you become master of every discipline and major guild/pursuit without consequence.

well so far I haven't had to do that but yeah I've heard about that too.
I figure I will get all the achievements in Oblivion Remastered but I'm gonna take my sweet time with it because I enjoy just exploring around and doing random sidequests and exploring dungeons sticking to the main quest of an Elder Scrolls game is boring in comparison.

the guild chievo

to be fair, the structure in bethesda’s faction questlines is always the same:
u show up, do a few missions, and within five hours you're suddenly the head archmage, guildmaster, listener or whatever. and then... nothing changes. the world doesn’t react. npcs still treat you like some random nobody. you don’t get to issue orders, reshape the guild, make policy changes, or influence anything outside your own title. it’s all surface level. you're given a fancy rank, but there's no real authority behind it.
Now compare that to something like gothic 2.

in gothic 2, joining a faction actually means something. you can’t just waltz in...you need to earn your spot. build reputation, make tough decisions, complete multi-step quests that lock you out of other paths. the game forces you to commit. choose the militia, the mercenaries, or the fire mages, and that choice matters. It affects how npcs treat you, what content you can access, how the world unfolds. that decision shapes your playthrough.

bethesda doesn’t do that. they want you to do everything in one run. join every guild, rise to the top of each, become the leader of every major faction in the game. you can be the listener of the dark brotherhood and the harbinger of the companions and the archmage of winterhold....all at the same time. there’s no conflict, no pushback, no consequences. It’s like the world collectively forgets who you are five minutes after every promotion:

the real head guildmaster is the friends you made along the way

I've been playing Fallout 4 for 86 hours, and still haven't finished it. The game takes a nosedive once you reach the Institute.

it's been 3 weeks since the game released and there are still almost 60k playing it atm. It's only barely behind clare 33, actually comparing it to that game more people have finished the sewers than have emarked on an expedition in that game.
