Coming of Age was the first route I completed and I stopped playing for a few days. I was ready to give the game a 10/10 after experiencing the prologue and that.
Not that coming of age was that amazing, but after finishing the prologue, it felt like watching a quality OVA after finishing an anime I really liked.
I like his dub performance over the Japanese. I’ve been watching people stream it and the hysterical sounds Takumi makes running to kill Vehxness at the end of the first route is better dubbed I’d say. Also his reaction to Nozomi getting iced sounded better too in English (this is the first route if you haven’t finished it yet why are you here)

Why would it be considered good? The person who wrote this is an inexperienced hack who only knows how to deal in contrived platitude delivery. SF is the only route with locks like that, but I wouldn't call it a true ending. You can roughly divide the game into a Kodaka half and an Uchikoshi half; 2nd Scenario is the 'true' route for the Kodaka half and SF is the 'true' route for the Uchikoshi half.
For me I did a mix of routes I was curious about and the important ones. I did do killing game and Retsnom before getting both true endings, and neither are required for the locks but just curiosity. I think a mix of doing the important stuff and the things you’re personally curious about is a good mix to make it more fun. But if your only goal is the truth behind everything I suppose make a bee line for those routes!

I admit even if it's still a dumb route I'm having significantly more fun with the zombie side than the serial killer side, helps that it's not strung together by Yugamu having his character butchered, and Kyoshika getting focus is a nice change of pace.

At the end of the slasher route, Kyoshika and Takumi should have escaped together, but the zombies attack the pod and damage its guidance systems, causing it to launch off course and drift through space endlessly. With the two of them stuck in the pod, a love forms similar to what happened in the Diana/Sigma timeline of ZTD. Takumi ends up impregnating Kyoshika, and she gives birth right as their food supplies are running out
As they are trying to think of a way out, Kyoshika begs Takumi to absorb her globin to somehow boost his reset power. He does so, and with all his power uses it to send the newly born baby into the past

She's always the quirky emo who says inappropriate things otherwise. That has to be it, and you can only get but so much material out of that. I'd be happy to just see her alive more often, she's dead in my current route.

I genuinely hear no difference in quality between this and Garzey’s Wing. I rarely hear dubs, and they always sound bad to me, but this is genuinely the worst dub acting I’ve heard in years. I’d put it two spaces below Chaos Wars only because it has proper recording, and some characters can occasionally sound ok.
Even if you only think some of them sound bad, I don’t get how you’d tolerate that and not want to change to Japanese. It’s always “Well, it’s not that bad.” or “It isn’t great, but…” with dub defenders. Just say it’s bad but you’d rather hear English voices you understand over Japanese ones you don’t.

Yes, I want to hear the script in my native tongue for such a dense game. Sometimes that isn't a priority and I listen to sub, usually for anime, always for live action. I tend to like to understand what characters are saying in video games, where you don't get captions for every line, especially during battle.
It's a game of tradeoffs. I'm willing to accept Moko's shit VA and Kyoshika's weak performance, when I LIKE Darumi, Tsubasa, Takumi, and yes even Hiruko.

I finally get to the Eva brainwashing in Second Scenario. But I've already seen her brainwashed like 3 other times in different routes. This game is odd, because you're constantly exposed to repeated themes and storytelling devices, but this is the first time where obvious fucking brainwashing is treated with the proper gravity by the students. They kinda have to lock the characters' sense of reasoning behind a specific route, else you learn the "truth" on some throwaway comedic path. This extends to Takumi being a gigantic retard about Eva in Killing Game especially. It's tonally jarring but I'm not sure what you can do about it.

You know it's bad when even Takumi acknowledges that the route he's on is shit.
The biggest sin about Serial battles is that you don't even get your whole party for that route. The timeline jumper machine is the reason why this route even takes place, there's no good reason why the team couldn't have grabbed alternate timeline versions of Darumi, Kyoshika, and Kurara for a boss rush route

The problem with the route is that most battles are filler without anything worth being talked about within. They should just make those fights text only instead of forcing the player to play through them.
Unless the goal of the route was making the player directly feel the dread that is one battle every 1-2 days. And if that was the goal congratulations Kodaka - it worked - also you are a bad game designer and made the game worse for no good reason.
