Call Of Duty Black Ops 6. Both the campaign and zombies had puzzles that required taking notes
My last playthrough of Morrowind with all the Tamriel Rebuilt stuff. Skyrim, Anvil, etc. After a while, the journal becomes borderline worthless since it gets so bloated with unrelated trash, so
I used a mod that would let me edit my journal as well as one that lets me write notes on paper.
Didn't like the Void Stranger 'screenshot everything' thing. Just seemed like busywork.
Myst
La-Mulana 2. Felt like Indiana Jones solving shit until I hit a wall.
The game is so low res that you can easily fit everything of note in a small area though. And if you miss anything, it's really not that hard to go back and re-check it later.

Fez I'll never forgive that sensitive fuck for cancelling Fez 2 btw, the first game is fucking fantastic
Fuckin tell me about it. I've two letters and two sanctum keys and I have no fucking clue where to go from here.
The Chef's Shift caught me off guard with its many characters to keep track of in a soap-opera-like intrigue. Kind of emotionally heavy stuff too despite the cutesy graphics, though the ending was kind of bleh.
paper
I use notepad++ and paint.net instead because I'm not a boomer
The note in the Room 46 tells you where the sanctum keys are.
Cosmobreeder Yiffai

Gloomhaven, on TTS, so it's a videogame.
I'm not sure if you need to write things down in the actual videogame version.
Black Souls 2
