Is it worth it?

Is it worth it?

how can you show the difference in framerate in a fucking still image? link a fucking video

No.

take a high fps camera

record the monitor

take a frame out of the video

simple as.

that doesn't work

I play on 360hz.
I didn't notice too much of a difference until I tried going back to 144hz. Funny how that works

am i being trolled right now? frames do not tween, if you take a photo of a single frame from a game at 60fps and 240fps the pictures will be exactly the same

That’s just motion blur at different frame rates.

Try it yourself

60 to 120~144hz, yes. Now anything above that is barely noticeable.

60Hz = 16.6ms per frame
120Hz = 8.3ms
144Hz = 6.9ms
240Hz = 4.1ms
360Hz = 2.7ms
etc

I wish I could see the difference. But I'm using a 60hz monitor

I sleep in a big bed with my 360hz monitor.

The camera does not copy the frames from the video card or the monitor. It creates its own. If it catches one being redrawn on the monitor they will differ depending on refresh rate.

I miss my CRT, the moving UFO was 100% clear and tracking it was effortless.

Only if you want to tryhard on Fortnite or whatever fotm online competitive game.

yes, exactly what I thought would happen

Now take a photo

It's hard for me to notice anything higher than 90 or 100, and I have a 165Hz monitor.

Damn... on 360fps it just looks like a clear picture

My first GPU was an 8800 GT back around 2007. The biggest graphical improvement across all video games for me was upgrading from my 60hz to 240hz monitor

Mine is 165Hz too and it's set to 120Hz since it's a multiple of 24/30/60 and videos don't judder.

No. That reduces graphics by 4x. It's almost as bad as raising resolution 4x.

Multiple positions should be shown within one frame. Especially for reticule/cursor. That means trails, motion blur, but a similar result as higher framerate. Without reducing graphical quality in the extreme. Resolution amd framerate increase is pushing back progress, virtually reverting to older generations. If you want no input lag get a second hand plasma. The screen will be larger, the colours better, it won't burn in images as long as you turn it off when not using it. And it will be cheap. The reason the tech ended is because plasma screens are heavy.

I'll probably never make the jump to 240hz. I only made the jump to a 90hz monitor like 5 years ago because my computer was never anything special so I wouldnt really aim that far above it, and I'm probably only going to now go from a 60hz TV to a 120hz TV next month with enough console games finally having 40fps and 120fps graphics modes.

That’s just motion blur at different frame rates.

No it's not retard.

High refresh rate without BFI is pointless.
We need about 960hz to get rid of motion blur without BFI.

60 to 120 is barely noticeable, and that has to be even less noticeable, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say fuck no.

stop giving your opinion about things you've never experienced

30fps is more than enough. let your brain fill in the blanks, but i guess that's too much for you midwits.

you will never need more than 640 KB

Graphic cards goes BZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTT

Yeah no thanks
I'm staying at 120

link a video which would have to be massively slowed down because most people can't go above 60hz to see the difference

CRT still has better motion clarity at 60fps

yeah but this only works if you can run the game at 360fps. a CRT can do better at only 85fps
