My friend told me that they were going to remake 4 but I honestly feel like the older graphics made it more charming.
I played the 3 remake then 4 and now I'm on 5 but I still feel like 4 holds up better than these shiny new games.
4's characters felt more real and defined. 5 feels kind of soulless and 3 gives off the feel that it's just some chunni rpg.
I also like the murder mystery stuff too.
In 5 there's so many people that you don't feel connected at all.
4 has that majoras mask feel like most npcs have a purpose. Not to such a big extent but it's still there and makes the game feel alive.
Peak soulless is doing those mementos missions where you get a text about some guy bring a bully and getting some dumb one liner about how they're evil.
It's a fucking bloated time sink that could have been better used fleshing out better side characters.
Maybe I just don't like the big city feel. They added so many places but they feel kind of empty if you know what I mean.

The origin of Persona 5 X is as a gacha clone of Persona 5 for mobile devices targetted at the Chinese market (because China would not permit the real Persona 5 to be released there due to "problematic" content eg. suicide, skeletons, rising sun symbols, and sexualized Persona designs).

With the Japanese and now western releases they made a sloppy Steam port but were too lazy to make console versions.

Not to mention the SMT gacha game is 7 years old. Hell, they added the Hero and Heroine from SMT1 like a month ago.

Same as most other modern post GI gachas. There is a character banner and a weapon banner. You can get Personas through gacha but there is still a fusion mechanic as well which is more your main source for Personas. The story is broken into a similar structure as P5 in that there is arcs. The group takes down the arc villain and then it moves onto a new villain. The story is still on-going and it seems like following the CN updates some arcs are broken up between updates. There is a time mechanic, but they game doesn't give dates or anything. Confidants now have 20 levels instead of 10.
