Straban, that weapon of yours is the pride of the armory

Agreed.

Good talk.

What the fuck is his problem?

straban.gif - 408x521, 3.73M

i dont understand, are you a sperg?

SLAYAH, STAND AND FIGHT

Oops,wrong franchise

He only cares about killing xenos

You're actually wrong.

Vespasius(assault): You lack fervor, brother

Straban(heavy): Your point?

V: What stirs your passion, if not combat?

S: Preparing for combat.

Multiplayer should have been Deathwatch TEE BEE EYCH

Unironically I Straban's the only one Decimus seems to be nice too. Their other dialogue is the only time Decimus appears properly chastised for example.
It's actually cool how they managed to characterize the 6 of them with so little time.

EVADE OF MY FIRING LINES YOU ADRENALINE JUNKIE FAGGOT JUNGLE MONKEY

He may have been a bit harsh there.

Most of your squaddies are 1st generation Primaris, meaning there's a good chance they aren't actually carrying Gullimans gene seed. They weren't really concerned with getting the boys to their "parent" legions during the initial rollout from Mars. So through their demeanor and behaviors many of Titus' squaddies have personality traits normally found in other legions. Straban might be of Iron Hands or even Iron Warrior or Death Guard stock given his curt and fatalistic demeanor. Scipius gives off pre-heresy Emperors Children vibes, Decimus is almost certainly a World Eater, etc. It's a neat touch that gives the guys fun chemistry.

MAGAZINE OUT. MAGAZINE IN.

He's not an Ultramarine, he's an Imperial Fist/Iron Warrior

Same thing with the negro being a World Eater/War Hound and Vespasius being a Word Bearer

Scipius is your typical Raven Guard/Raptor

The only Ultramarine is Valius, the Tactical

So it's obvious that the xenos in the third one will be necrons right?

I hope so but only time will tell

WAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Necrons

Will end up being the most boring enemy ever with no gore and stale bullet-sponges.

They'll probably keep the tyranids around because they are simply the most well-suited for a game of this type, they are by far the most fun to fight. Chaos is unsatisfying cancer to fight but they gotta keep them too because it's the overarching theme of the series. Necrons will probably just show up as a third enemy type for lategame.

I wouldn't mind Orks being used again with this combat system

Vespasius and Scipius have the best poetic burn lines while Decimus has the funniest ones.
Valius has a couple good ones but Quartus and Straban have the "weakest" fun kill lines of the bunch.

They need the Orks back

Chaos Undivided, they already made the Tzeentch assets

Necrons for fuck you don't die

boring enemy ever with no gore and stale bullet-sponges.

So basically what Chaos was at launch?

Chaos cannot get the datamined chaos spawn enemies soon enough

The addition of a new enemy race is a tough one because they'd need to make whole new Operations to feature them in instead of just a singular mission where you fight them.
Datamines suggest they're making at least 3 more but there could be more than what has been seen so far.
Realistically, I think making them horde mode enemies makes more sense. Kind of like how Chaos was first teased in DoW2's Last Stand mode.

Gonna be honest with ya, Chuck, SM2's launch balance for the PvE side of things was fucked. Rubric Marines just eating entire mags to the face, everyone running nothing but meltaguns or plasma guns, assault was complete ass, the stupid fucking beastmen that GW still won't stop pushing on Tzeentch were stupidly tanky with those shields and the game would spawn hordes of nothing but Tzaangors with shields often.

After all that, I wouldn't even mind a Chaos Spawn.

I meant for the third game

I thought the addition of Tzaangor Enlighteneds as a new majoris spawn for Chaos would "nerf" them overall because it means one less Rubric Marine pelting you from range but they're honestly the more annoying enemy with their mobility and wide range unblockables. Thankfully their HP is considerably lower than Rubricae.

Oh, then yeah.
But I think you could still get them in SM2. I agree with the others on Necrons not fitting too well into the existing Minoris-Majoris enemy set-up because turning Necron Warriors into minoris mobs on the level of Tzaangors/Gaunts feels really weird.

For Spess Mehreen 3 they need to make the squad size lore accurate to 5-6 Spess Mehreens

Then have a mini campaign/boss rush mode with 12 Spess Mehreens

Also add Terminator armour

Then let's go back to orks, Tay would be too annoying since they're THE shooty guys, and the ekdar, well they're fucking lame

SM2 and Rogue Trader are the only two warhammer games i've played in the last ten years and i was flabbergasted that both of them have the same story of some idiot trying to harness necron power

Deldar would be neat though, and already have 3 built in subfactions you could fight. Kabalites would be the ranged shooty fuckers. The Arena fuckers would be the fast melee dickheads, and the fleshy abominations would be the beefcake brutes with a mixture of shooty and melee. Things like Mandrakes and Incubi would be the elite enemies that the team needs to focus on.

He is autismo marine, he takes satisfaction with the details and a job well done rather than roaring furor. Part of it is the irony of the dude with the biggest gun being the coolest head but it also makes sense for the guy who has to do the largest amount of casualty production to be calm and particular about his counts and zones.

because turning Necron Warriors into minoris mobs on the level of Tzaangors/Gaunts feels really weird.

Either make up a new kind of scarab or have a random dynasty start converting people into weird techno-zombie flesh slave things.

It's a shame for the Necrons because the Lychguard and Deathmarks would make for really cool Extremis enemies.
Personally think Dark Eldar have a good selection of unique enemies that fits well into the game's combat and enemy unit escalation, ignoring the fact that they'd never fight fair or have the advantage of numbers.

Necron Warriors could in theory work as minoris with Necron Immortals being the actual threatening majoris enemies before you start getting shit like Wraiths, Lychguard, and those Triarch Praetorians appearing. Warriors have been getting repeated downgrades lore and tabletop wise that a horde of them getting gunned down by even guardsmen doesn't feel as out of place as it once was.

Remember when armour saves actually correlated to something. Why the fuck are warriors, who are made of the same necrodermis as other Necrons, at a 4+ sv?

Well that was also the time when AP meant you didn't get a save when it was equal to or less than said save. Also the game is filled with Sv 3+ bloat thanks to the dozen plus Marine armies, never mind shit like Custodes being a playable faction or the Imperial Knights and their amazing 6 model armies.

Their prowess may have been nerfed but they're still not moving any slower than Immortals and flinging themselves into melee to tie up ranged targets.
While mentioned Tau would be annoying because of ranged fire, the Kroot and Vespid at the very least make for good minoris fodder to chop down, the former especially.

Their 2nd edition WD form had every necron on a 2+ base save.

Killing a Sorcerer should briefly stun Rubricae like how killing Synapse creatures blows up Gaunts and spore mines.

Look at this dood, just watering his xenos.

I envision a boss fight with an Archon where he sics his court and incubi for each squadmember to deal with before he joins the fight.
The Pain Engines would make for easy Terminus enemies.
They could even get reinforcements from Raiders swooping in and taking off.

Killing a sorcerer should instanuke nearby Rubricae and put the rest on a 1 min disappearing timer where they slowly give 0 damage

Tzaangors should disappear after taking 75% casualties

Haemonculus boss fight with Grotesque ADDs that he can revive.

Mandrakes are pretty cool instead of being gimps like they used to be so I thought having some slave stock being minoris enemies for DEldar make more sense.
Haemonculus will just be throwing Wracks to support the Grotesque.

Most of your squaddies are 1st generation Primaris, meaning there's a good chance they aren't actually carrying Gullimans gene seed.

If we're to take huge mental leaps, one can assume that the champion packs are what they inherited their geneseed from.

Scipius is Salamander

Decimus is Space Wolf

Quartus is Dark Angel

Valius is Imperial Fist

decimus

Space Wolf

You cheeky little shit.

Vanguard is the one that got the Space Wolf champion skin.

It would've been logical to make him the Raven Guard or Blood Angel, Space Wolf could've been either Tactical or extra unique as the Sniper as a Lone Wolf.

If you ask me a Ravenguard champion would better suit Assault, but only if they add in lightning claws.
