Nvidia's drivers weren't fantastic for me until maybe the last one for Doom The Dark Ages Possibly one before that but i haven't tested the prior. Their shit drivers were causing stuttering in my VR games and to some extent it may have happened in regular games, just harder to notice. Thank god it finally got resolved, but it took a while.

There are many independent factors and use case scenarios that you can never know about. Besides considering I'm a VR enthusiast i have seen AMD card users complaining about shit frametimes on the forums i frequent, and sometimes they've talked about never seeing it rectified and Nvidia having a better track record. I will say that Nvidia's drivers took a while for me to get good frametimes on the newer 50 series cards drivers, but I've seen people just randomly mentioning that AMD's drivers could never get it right and they were never getting ideal performance.

They also said in the video they spent around 70 minutes between two videos focused entirely on DLSS and frame gen. It's not that the reviewers aren't focusing on frame gen, they aren't doing it in a way that benefits Nvidia so Nvidia is throwing a tantrum.
