Witcher 3 - 10 year anniversary

I never even finished the main game but went back to play blood and wine a couple years ago and it was fun. Don't feel like spending 60 hours on it again though, especially with how boring the beginning is

Combat needs a rework and I'd like 'radiant' monster hunts. It kinda sucked to play a monster hunter with no more monsters to hunt.

And they should paty more.
In fact, they should be the main source of income - not trash collecting.

GOTY for a reason. Best writing in the industry, by far.

It took me 3 years to get through this game. Not cause it's bad, it's just huge. Didn't like the main quest, loved most of the rest.

how boring the beginning is

You have to repair the amor much too often in the beginning. Later it is better.

Nah, doesn't hold a candle to RDR, MGS Trilogy, BioShock 1, and Silent Hill 2.

W3 is 10 years ago

Thanks for reminding me I'm getting old. Also W4 will suck. Magic is over.

Also W4 will suck. Magic is over.

The main writers are still there, so who knows. Might be good.
Besides - the last thing they want is a repeat of CP2077's disaster, so the technical aspects for sure will be better.

seems like nothing is happening

The main writers are still there,

Literally who? One of them left for Blizzard. Lots of the core team just left after cyberpunk.

This is a studio that actually managed to turn Cyberpunk 2077 around, so there is no way in hell they will fuck up Witcher 4.

Marcin Blacha. He's been in charge of the narrative since Witcher 1.

managed to turn Cyberpunk 2077 around

so sick of hearing this, I beat the game on release and then again for PL and the differences were vastly exaggerated. The game was flawed on a fundamental level

It's not a bad game at all, it's just very different from what they originally promised. If you go in with zero expectations, it's pretty damn good.

He wasn't the lead writer for W1 and W2 so I'm not that hopeful. W2 writing >W3 writing.

I agree, I enjoyed the game for what it was. That's what makes the narrative that it was "fixed" so frustrating because it sets the bar for the sequel lower because there was so much wasted potential

god bored and stopped playing after like 10 hours, whats the point of a big open world RPG with choices etc if I dont get to make my own character and self insert.

If you go in with zero expectations, it's pretty damn good.

No, unless you are a faggot and love keanue reeves, goddamn thinking about that annoying cunt stops me from giving that game another chance every time

How was the game for you? Good memories?

Fantastic, but I honestly enjoyed the DLCs just as much if not more than the main game. Hearts of Stone was a top tier story in general, and the atmosphere in Blood and Wine was incredible.

Not even the best DLC in its own game

I'm not playing as a woman, period.

Who is the best Witcher Girl?

I said the Witcher 3 side quest stories are the best in any vidya
but the main quest was mid.
DLCs were top tier

the one with biggest rack and red hair, so TRISS

the last thing they want is a repeat of CP2077's disaster, so the technical aspects for sure will be better

You are assuming they are competent enough to avoid another massive fuckup, which remains to be seen.

if I dont get to make my own character

That's the most overrated feature in single player games.
Who cares what kind of hairstyle you pick - you're playing with NPCs. A set, established character will always win. It's better for the narrative.

It's pretty good but I find it interesting it suffered from the same issue E33 suffered this year: great firs tact, then falls off hard after it. W3 had some great side quests though which balance this a bit.

From what I've read, games flow 95% of the time due to mismanagement, which was the case with CP.
Now that they're not planning to release W4 until 2027 (official info from a financial results call), they'll get whoever they can to make it as best as it can be.

ok imaginationlet

nta Even Deus Ex has some basic player customization and that didn't affect the narrative. Don't be a retard.

NHH

2027

See you in december 3030

How was the game for you? Good memories?

Very fond memories of playing the game while watching dota TI qualifiers summer 2015 was good to me

any announcements?

Wrong way to spell Cerys

Its you who have a shitty imagination if you have to self insert.
Being able to play as a different character, you know ROLEplaying, is a sign of having a real imagination and IQ. If you can't you might just be sub 80.

So the stream was a waste of time...

Its the GOAT
Fucking polish retards, make a ps5 pro patch

Do a standalone playthrough of hearts of stone too, very good

it was supposed to be some feelsgood remember berries stream but it felt forced and both of the guests looked kinda uncomfortable, it didn't help that the hosts were literally who community managers

Why does it look worse? I literally saw polygons at certain points. What's the point of this if it's not massively improved, at least graphically?

I tried it once but didn't like it. Feel like I was missing out on this big thing that everybody loved talking about.

As someone who read the books, it's insane how much better the videogame story is.

most overrated game in the history of videogames

Still the best game ever made

Ciri doesnt even wear high heels anymore, it's gonna be pozzed dogshit

Nah, that would be RDR 2, Ghosts of Tsushima and Expedition 33

Is the next-gen update worth playing or should I stick with the original?

TW3, BG3 and E33. Something with the number 3 makes shit overrated.

There's no TW3 without RDR cuck. Rocket is your and CDPR's daddy.

It's still incredibly barebones, just as it was on release day.

This came out like 4 years ago and it already has a 10 year anniversary remaster

Except that W3 and even BG3 are actually good, BG3 isnt as good W3 cause the female characters are ugly
What a dumbass thing to say, by that retarded logic theres no RDR without GTA 4 and no GTA 4 without GTA 3 and so on

is playing witcher 1 a requirement before getting into 2 and 3?
the combat in 1 filtered me from how lame it is.

Not really, Witcher 1 is basically evil dudes want to turn humans into ugly mutants to survive the upcoming frozen apocalypse but Geralt stops the evil dudes, Witcher 2 is basically fellow Witcher assassin kills a King on behalf of a secret society of sorceresses who want to control politics, the fellow Witcher was promised by an emperor from another Kingdom to kill the King and betray the sorceresses in exchange for a restablished castle (School of the Cat), emperor betrays fellow Witcher in 3 though, thats all you need to know storywise, the lore is more important but you don't need to play 1 nor 2 for that
