Seeing how people don't like Nightreign, I can only wonder what will become of Duskbloods
Seeing how people don't like Nightreign, I can only wonder what will become of Duskbloods
Seeing how people don't like the largest assist-flip in history created by the B-team and appropriately sold for $40, I can only wonder how they feel about a brand new IP by the A-team with Miyazaki."
Gee, I wonder.
Someone post all the reused assets and animations they already showed in the duskslops trailer
Duskbloods is pretty much Nightreign for Bloodborne.
hopefully this flops and FROM finally goes back making good games again, like original des/das/bb instead of MMO-tier trash like ER or team-b tier garbage souls with copy-pasta content
releasing a multiplayer only game on a brand new console
Baffling decision.
On the contrary i think they're testing the waters for an actual Elden Ring MMO.
Isn't it basically the same thing as Nightreign except it's Bloodborne themed and pvp instead of pve?
Seeing how people don't like Nightreign
The game is going to get 1 million current player on launch, mark my words. There's literally nothing good out right now. It will be just like Monster Hunter.
doesn't have the pubg deathzone stuff and win conditions are apparently different too
Gotta wonder why Nintendo started hiring an army of pajeets working on subhuman wages go do their shilling lately.
Elden Ring 2 but it actually Genshin Impact with gothic waifus and monster girls.
Duskbloods is PVPVE
It sounds like it does have a traditional souls gameloop to it where you're trying to defeat a set number of bosses across various locations but that there are other players in the world and you're given explicit tasks to help or hinder specific players (i.e. character X has a rivalry with character Y and needs to kill them)
That's not baffling, idiot, that's how consoles used to get sold. They're called "release titles" or "games you buy a console to play."
Its not so much that people don't like nightreign is just that there really isn't much to talk about with it. once it launches unless it absolutely sucks dick threads will pop up left and right trying to form metas and people just talking about their experiences in general
I'm even less interested then. I wasn't gonna play it anyways since I'm not getting a Switch U but the idea of a 100% pvp Fromsoft game does interest me.
Switch U
heh
Bloodblood 2
nooooooo you're not allowed to try new stuff
you're the reason why western gaming is so fucking shit.
If you don't understand how releasing a multiplayer only game on a console with a very limited install base might be detrimental to the game's long term success then I don't know how to help you.
I know when I finally get a Switch 2 in 5 years I'm not going to buy Duskbloods because it'll either be completely dead or filled with hackers. Whereas I did buy Bloodborne because it has a solid single player.
That has nothing to do with what I said.
You seem to be confused, because you're poor. That's a sad thing indeed but the publishers do not really care about the second-hand market like you. They're after people with more disposable income (or debt-willingness; same thing, really) than sense, who will buy both the game and console to play it with their group of equally money-possessing friends.
You don't have to like or agree with the state of the world, but if you fail to understand things outside of yourself then you are an idiot child and you can, and will, be laughed at when you make ignorant statements.
I get your point, Switch 2 online is probably still shit, but that's the From Software they are not afraid of taking any risks, and they probably got a fuck ton of money from Nintendo.
I will buy Switch 2 just for that game and Metroid.
What does second hand market have to do with anything?
I'll make it simple for you:
-Multiplayer only games thrive or die on their playerbase because if nobody is playing the game then you're unable to play the game and won't buy it
-A smaller installbase on a console means a smaller playerbase and a shorter overall lifespan
Multiplayer exclusive games almost never make sense. A multiplayer exclusive game on a brand new console makes even less sense.
Its a switch exclusive. Its already over for it
Both are online focused shit games. Only single player focused games matter.
How many Call of Duty games did you buy at release?
How about FIFA, or any other annual sportsball game?
People who are not you do not behave like you. They buy things you do not buy at times that you do not buy them. Duskbloods is a FROM game; it absolutely has the brand recognition and developer goodwill to sell consoles. Making it a multiplayer only system-exclusive is a very good business decision.
b-b-but what about the PC players
Literally no one cares about PC players because PC players don't buy new PCs to play games. You could not be further from the target audience for this game. If you want Duskbloods on PC, buy 4 copies of Nightreign on release day. Prove them wrong.
Sour grapes. Unless it eventually gets released on PC. And which point it will then be the best game ever made and Switch 2 owners will be cucks for beta testing. Instead of being cucks for owning a Switch 2, I mean. They're still cucks.
by the time it releases switch 2 should have enough of an install base to guarantee a healthy player pool except if you're one of these seething retards who think the system is going to bomb
if duskbloods is end of 2026 for ex we might look at a 25 million install base
duskblood has multiple asset flips
it's almost the exact same thing as nightreign
There is no argument here. It's just gibberish.
This is an actual argument.
Switch 1 is the third best selling consoles of all time and it sold 15 million in the first year.
It's very optimistic to think that Switch 2 will sell 25 million by the time Duskbloods comes out. (which is about a year from the switch 2's launch)
Especially given the lackluster response to the Switch 2's reveal + price.
That said, even if it does end up selling 25 million units, you're talking about maybe selling 2-3 million copies of Dusbloods versus selling 20+ million if it was released across PC and all consoles.
not a fucking chance. Memehacki already said ER is as big as they can go and they'll be scaling back for a bit
is this a nintendo glazer or a from glazer
online only game
Nintendo hardware and netcode
I can't think of a worse combination
Enjoy your silky smooth 20 fps. It really will be Bloodborne 2.
Especially given the lackluster response to the Switch 2's reveal + price.
there's no "lackluster response", you spend too much time online and think the kvetching of shitposters and ragebait youtubers is a good indication of the mainstream audience interest, spoilers: it isn't
the preorder numbers we have from countries like japan or france indicate that the system is highly anticipated and will be a big success
The Wii U sold out prior to launch as well. It's impossible to predict actual sales numbers because there is artificial demand created by scalpers.
Another thing is that it’s technically not even a switch 2 exclusive given they still have rights to it, it’s only being released exclusively for the switch 2. They’re well within their rights to port it to other consoles and PC which I see to be an inevitability given the surrounding circumstances with the switch 2 and that 2026 release date being far off enough that the effects of it will be clear as day
Best case we get a port down the line when the sale numbers inevitably end up being low. Worst case we get another rayman legends situation
I hope you're right.
A From glazer who's willing to admit Nightreign looks mediocre, and unfortunately has to buy a Nintendo console for a single game.
Almost all sequels have reused assets, it's simply a part of developing games at a reasonable cost/time, but not to the painful extent of Nightreign. To say Duckbloods is the same is disingenuous.
As a Fromfag, I'm skipping these two years and saying that they don't exist or it was all a bad dream until they announce something of value again.
Agreed
I just don't buy consoles so Duskblood doesn't exist to me.
Nightreign will strongly depend on how the solo mode goes. I simply don't expect random parties to be any good or fun and I don't have 2 friends who'd play it and have compatible schedules. It'll probably be a "buy it on sale after it got a year of patches" kinda game
the wii u didn't have more than 2 million preorders in japan
rayman legends situation
qrd? Heard it bombed but was there more?
when the sale numbers inevitably end up being low
why would they be low? are you retards still parroting the notion only nintendo fanboys buy switch and nintendo fanboys only buy nintendo games? monster hunter rise is a multiplayer focused third party game specifically developed on switch and it's the second highest selling title in capcom's entire history, 8 million copies sold on switch alone in a single year
rayman legends is announced and that it was going to be a wiiu exclusive
wiiu releases, and it bombs horribly. Literally no one is buying it
ubisoft panics
despite the game being completed and ready to ship they delay the games release to make PS4/Xbone ports while reworking it entirely (as it was designed around the wiiu’s gamepad gimmick)
The difference is that ubisoft only had a few months between the systems launch and legends release to rework it, whereas FromSoft’s gonna get a good year to see how the switch 2 ends up
